As soon as he made sure Hyunseung had left the office and had taken the elevator, Hyunshik shut the door of his office and took out his cellphone dialing the familiar number of his worker. The phone ringed twice before the person pick it up, after the short greeting of the person in the other line, he said what he wanted to. ‘’My son is aware of everything…’’ Hyunshik said calmly.

‘’How did he… What do I do? How should I proceed then Sir?’’ the feminine voice of Soojin was heard. He had already thought of the possible scenarios after Hyunseung had come to him, it was definitely not part of his plans and it would become an inconvenience if Hyunseung suddenly said something to the Kim girl. The best was to take him out of the picture.

‘’For now I want you to contact the Kim’s daughter, I want you to have an eye on all her movements from now on. It may be risky but as soon as Attorney Ahn legalize the papers I sent, I want you to include her in the company’’

‘’But Sir, she knows the management of the Group she will notice the changes we’re about to make’’ He knew that very well… this woman always had to state the obvious, such a nuisance. ‘’Just do as I say… and about the management you can find something that don’t involve what we have in mind.’’ There was silence that meant she understood so he continue. ‘’As for my son we have to take him out of the game before he spills something inconvenient, we can’t afford him to get near her and tell her our plans, we still need her in the dark before the transactions become official… so today, you’ll tell her the truth about my son. Tell her whatever is necessary, give her proof too and made her hate him so much he can’t be near her again’’

‘’I will Sir’’ he hung up and serve himself a glass of scotch.

Hyuna saw the fragile body of her father laying there peaceful, she felt so bad, so guilty. Hyuna took the hand of her father in hers it with care. He look so weak, he had lost weight and had let his beard grown looking older and tired.

‘’Appa… what do I do with you?’’ she said as tears stained her face. ‘’I can’t even regret what I did, I wouldn’t change choosing Hyunseung Appa, I just regret that I ran from you. I should have found another way to do things. Just please… I don’t want you to leave me like Umma… I wouldn’t forgive myself’’

A nurse came in telling her she had to leave and giving her the information of the visit hours, Hyuna listened well and cleaned her face with her hands, the nurse check on the vitals and machines while Hyuna said bye. ‘’Appa I’ll come to see you every day ok? I promise. I have to leave now’’ Hyuna kissed her father forehead and leaved the room with sadness.

The first thing she notice was that Hyunseung was not there waiting for her, and that Pak Soojin was missing. She didn’t care for the woman but she expect that being her father woman she will be there at all times. Hyuna looked at her cellphone to call Hyunseung, maybe he was in the cafeteria or in the lobby waiting. There was a message saying that he needed to go somewhere, she understood but she missed him already, she needed him so much in the moment, to reassure her everything would be fine and just be by her side.

She may have to take a car and go to Hyunseung’s, fortunately, she remember his address and password, she wanted badly to take a bath and have a change of clothes. Her phone start going off in her hand and she pick it up, she must have been thinking too much of him because it was Hyunseung after all.

‘’Hyuna…’’ Hyuna frowned something seemed off with Hyunseung, was he all right? ‘’Are you fine? You sound strange’’ there was a chuckle at the next side and that reassured her. ‘’It’s nothing, I just miss you’’ she smiled like a fool. ‘’I miss you too’’

‘’How was your father? I’m sorry I was not there, I needed to do something’’ he said apologetic.

‘’His vitals are improving but I’m worried.  He was always so strong I can’t bear to see him like this, it’s like he will slip away from me any moment’’ she tried to say calmly to not worry Hyunseung. ‘’I’m sorry for what’s happening Hyuna… I need to see you, can you come here?’’ Again there was that tone that set her off, there was something wrong she knew it, she had a feeling. ‘’I want to see you too Hyunseung. Where are you?’’

‘’I’m home...’’ Hyuna nodded despite her being in a phone call. ‘’Ok, I’ll see you. I was going there anyway’’

‘’Hyuna…?’’ Hyunseung said after a long silence. ‘’yeah?’’

‘’I love you’’ Hyuna blushed, she was happy hearing it but she couldn’t help being shy.

‘’I-I love you t-too’’ she reply and the end was cut, now she really wanted to see him.

All the ride she could only think of being home in Hyunseung’s arms and rest. It had all came together when she sat in the taxi, the tiredness from the flight, the stress with her stepmother and her family situation, she needed a fresh breath of air and that was him to her.

Hyuna felt her phone vibrating and saw the incoming call, it was Park Soojin, she sighed debating whether she should answer or not, finally choosing not to. In all honesty, she didn’t feel in the mood to start another argument with the woman, not even if it had something to do with her company or her father, that could wait for tomorrow after she takes a good rest.

Arriving to Hyunseung’s had been a long ride but somehow she made it short standing in front of the apartment door, she pressed the intercom and smiled at the camera.

The door open right away and she was greet with her vision obstructed by a shirt in a crushing hug. ‘’Wow… I didn’t know you missed me this much’’ she joke. Hyunseung let go of her and took her hand to lead her inside, he closed the door afterwards while she put her handbag away.

She felt his arms circling on her waist in a back hug and leaned in his chest. They stayed in silence swinging from side to side slowly. He was strange, she could feel it and couldn’t help but ask.

‘’Are you fine Hyunseung?’’

He tensed at her question, he was not fine. How could he be? He had to tell her everything and probably lose her doing it. Even though he knew it was the right thing to do and he had been determined to tell her, the moment he had opened his resolution had all gone to the gutter.

The moment he had hugged her what ifs had invaded him completely. If she knew who he was and knew his father was trying to destroy her family and that he was part of it knowingly or not.

He eventually had to tell her but not in this moment, right now he wants to treasure the moment he has with her in case it’s the last. At leas for today, he wanted to be the most selfish person on Earth.

‘’I’m perfect now that you’re here’’ he said relaxing and kissing the side of her neck chastely. ‘’Aigoo you’re being cheesy’’ he let go of her so that she could face him.

‘’Anyway, what was so urgent you had to leave me in the hospital?’’ In that moment the bell rang interrupting them and he left to attend it. ‘’Who do you think is it at this hours?’’

‘’It must be the food. I ordered take out after you called, I guessed you would be hungry the moment you got home’’ he went to the door and opened it receiving the package and paying the man. When he came back, Hyuna was already sitting in the couch.

‘’Very thoughtful of you, I am starving’’ she said exaggeratedly slumping a bit in the sofa and he couldn’t help but chuckle at her cuteness.

‘’….So?’’ she asked while he uncovered the lid and passed her the chopsticks. ‘’…Yeah?’’

‘’You didn’t answer my question…’’ Hyunseung gave Hyuna her share and respond unfazed. ‘’My father wanted to see me… remember I told you I have a bad relation with him?’’ Hyuna nodded. ‘’Well, he wanted to talk about his business and we disagree so I guess it just got worse…’’ Hyuna gave him a worried look. ‘’Don’t worry about it’’

‘’Is this why you were down when you called me?’’ he widened his eyes slightly surprised that she had notice. ‘’Partially… but let’s not talk about that now ok? I promise to tell you tomorrow with details so let’s enjoy our meal.’’

‘’You’re right, today was a long day’’ Hyuna nodded in agreement.
