I Hear Your Voice
{ by: B2UTYSONELOVER }
Lu Han wakes up three months later after running into a grave accident and is surprised to have known that he's unexpectedly possessed an ability where he can read people's mind. Follow his journey to search for the secret behind his ability.
TITLE: (4/5)
It does give off that mysterious vibe, with readers maybe wanting to ask readers like “What kind of voice? Maybe it’s not the ordinary kind of voice?”. But then I do believe this isn’t the most original title in here, even if I say that my definition of originality in these reviews is in terms of how original it is in Asianfanfics, only. There are like 10+ stories in Asianfanfics that have this title.
DESCRIPTION + FOREWORD: (4/5)
It did give off that feeling of letting readers be interested in your story and it is nicely described. I just took off one point because I had a feeling on what kind of method should Lu Han do to get back those memories. It's something readers probably want to find out for themselves.
Usually prologues aren’t set as forewords, but at least this prologue gives an intriguing start to the story.
LAYOUT: (10/10)
The poster’s just beautiful. The quote in there fits the idea of the story so much. Black and white gives off that light but mysterious feeling and it suits that well. The font styles seem simple that are appropriate to the theme of the story.
I’m not into background music while reading stories in here, so let’s just ignore that. But possibly the choice of music could be suitable.
PLOT: (15/15)
There are a lot of surprising moments, like how Lu Han would remember Minseok instead of Yoona, and that’s something worth looking forward to by readers. Another one of those surprising moments is when Krystal told Lu Han that some people can just prevent Lu Han from reading their minds. There are also a lot of interesting side stories and back-up stories, such as Kyungsoo’s foundation and, which is still yet to be revealed, something about Seohyun and Xiumin. All of these contribute to Lu Han’s telepathy, which I find really nice with those connections, and finding out these contributions lead to the mystery behind. You haven’t left out the main idea of Lu Han and Yoona’s past relationship, and that’s good. Nicely planned, and developed.
ORIGINALITY: (9/10)
So like what I said, I’ll base off the originality in my reviews in terms of how original it is in Asianfanfics, only. After all, I haven’t entirely known what’s going on in the K-Drama I Hear Your Voice (although I do have plans of checking that out lol).
So yes, there are a couple of stories in here about somebody waking up from a coma, but what follows after Lu Han’s coma really seems original enough for me. I don’t have much knowledge on how telepathy is used in stories, here, though, so let’s just omit that.
FLOW: (10/10)
There was a clear shift of events and it was easy to follow. It was nicely planned and developed.
CHARACTERIZATION: (8/10)
Noting how you arrange them under major characters (although it’s just called characters, but talking about Yoona, f(x)’s Krystal), it seems like Yoona’s supposed to be more of importance rather than Krystal. Nothing much is known about Yoona so far, though, and sometimes I had a feeling that Krystal seems more important than Yoona. Since this is still ongoing though, who knows, maybe Yoona will really be more important later on. The same goes with Jessica since nothing much is still known about her, and since it is simply stated that Jessica is Krystal’s sister, and with Minseok, since you stated that he’s a main character, but not much is known about him, either.
The rest of the mentioned character’s roles are clear, though, even for Kyungsoo and Jongin. They had roles that seem interesting for the readers. There is a clear relationship between the characters, too, such as between Kyungsoo and Krystal.
WRITING STYLE: (10/10)
Such an excellent job in here. Everything is nicely described and can be easily understood.
GRAMMAR + SPELLING: (13/15)
There are a couple of sentences wherein you seem to interchange the arrangement between two words, such as “He doesn’t know who is she?” wherein “He doesn’t know who she is?” seems to be more likely appropriate. Some prepositions seem to be missing in the sentences, too, such as “a”.
ENJOYMENT: (10/10)
I’m just… wow. I really took note of every detail.
Krystal has to be my favorite character here. She’s really so mysterious. And everything she says is just… wow. And the sixth voice is my favorite chapter. You know why. That was really well planned.
