He was calmly walking when he suddenly heard something strange. He stopped next to the door which separated him from the girl who was screaming. He heard the sound of wooden stairs being hardly hit and a glass crashing onto the floor and falling to pieces.

There were some more screams and groans and he carefully paid attention to every single sound when silence surrounded the house. He heard somebody weakly mumbling a few words that he couldn't listen, despite they came from so far. Suddenly somebody ran upstairs -It's the girl, he thought- and another person walked to the door.

He could recognise the sound of steps walking towards him. He crossed the road forgetting about taking into account that a car might have crashed into him and hid behind a big black van that was parking opposite the door in front of which he had just been standing a few seconds ago. He could barely breathe when he heard the door opening and tried to keep enough oxygen inside his lungs in order not to take another breath.

His heart was banging on his chest. -I'm going to faint- He rested his face on both of his hands and tried to calm down and help his heart calming down. -It's beating so harshly that I'll be discovered because of its sound- The door was violently closed again and he sighed and let his body fall to the floor. He was on his knees trying to recover when something made his heart directly stop. -Don't kill me, he said mostly to himself-
