I now sit in this small cozy café, sipping on my coffee while looking at the raindrops outside. Its sound calming me and straightening my thoughts.

The bell rings, signalling that someone entered the shop. A few seconds later the chair in front me creaks and someone sits

“she said that I meet up with you”

“yes, I asked her that favor”

“what is it that you want to talk about, dude?” her fiancée asks me

“I just want to give you some reminders” I sip my coffee

“like?”

“if you make her cry, I’m the first person you answer to.”

“I’ll never make her cry.” He sits straight

“keep her happy”

“keep her safe”

“let her be her”

“encourage her in whatever she’ll do”

“have faith in her”

“dude, you don’t have to remind me” he says

“just listen. I’ve been her best friend for years. I spent half of my life with her”

“always keep her smiling”

“she’ll do everything to protect you, so do the same”

“never cheat on her”

“be her best friend, lover and her everything”

“she’s difficult to understand and handle so just go with whatever is on her mind but you also have to decide if it’s good or bad for her”

“and lastly, don’t break her heart”

“I would never dare do that to her. That’s the last thing on my mind”

“I would never steal her from you. You’re her happiness”

“I’m glad to hear that”

“love her more than I loved her.” And with that I held out my hand to shake hands with him

“best wishes to the both of you.” I smiled and stood up to leave
