Does he watch your favorite movies?
Does he hold you when you cry?
Does he let you tell him all your favorite parts
When you've seen it a million times?
Does he sing to all your music
While you dance to Purple Rain?
Does he do all these things
Like I used to?

we always had movie nights. It was either at my house or hers. This was how we spent Friday nights. We would snuggle on the sofa with a blanket keeping us warm as we watched movies

“so what movie do you want to watch?”

“can we watch ‘A walk to Remember’?”

“again? We’ve watched that like a hundred times already but okay.” I tape the cd of the shelf and place it in the player

“really? Thank you, Kevin! Donghae doesn’t like it when we watch that movie”

“but it’s your favourite right? He should watch it with you.”

We start watching the movie

“Kevin, this my favorite part. The part where she says ‘don’t fall in love with me’” She whispers

“you also like the part where they stargaze until the morning” I chuckle

After a few laughter and tears, the movie ends and she yawns.

“come on, sleepy head time for bed” I pull her up and we lie at her bed

“can you sing for me?”

“which song? The movie’s theme song or your favourite?” I

“you know that’s only one song right?”

I chuckle and start to sing “if I could ask God just one question, why aren’t you here with me tonight? Someday we’ll know if love can move a mountain. Someday we’ll know why the sky is blue. Someday we’ll know why I wasn’t meant for you. Someday we’ll know if Samson loved Delilah. One day I’ll go dancing on the moon…”

She drifts off to sleep and so do I.

It was a very rainy morning when we woke up

“Kevin, it’s raining outside!”

“do you want to take an early shower?” I pull her up and bring her outside

“this is so much fun! It’s my first time playing in the rain!” she shouts

“really?”

“okay, you two that’s enough! You might get a cold!” her mom shouts at us

“come on, let’s get inside. I don’t want you to get sick” I say and hug her

“okay” she smiles
