“Kevin!” she runs up to me looking very happy

“so what did the letter say?” I ask

“I got accepted to Princeton University!”

“I’ve always known you can do it. I have always believed in you” I smiled as she hugged me

“thank you so much for believing in me” she whispers “how about you?” she asks as she let go of me

“I got a letter from SM Entertainment saying I passed their audition” I show her the letter

“wow, Kevin. You’re going to be star!” she jumps and hugs me again “I have always believed in you too. I know you’ll be able to reach your dreams”

“I know that you can achieve yours too”

“but there’s a sad catch” I say to her

“what?”

“I have to move to Korea” I bow my head

“what? You’re leaving me?” I could almost see tears in her eyes

“Donghae’s there to take care of you” I smile at her

“but that wouldn’t be the same!” she whines

“I love you, you know” I say nervously

“you know that I love you too, right? We’ll still be friends right?” she says

I think I just heard my heart shatter. I’m just a friend to her. I bitterly smile

“of course” I say. The words having a bitter taste in my mouth

“thank you”

A few years have passed since the last time I saw her. We lost contact after a year I left Canada because I was busy training. I am Kris Wu now, no longer Kevin. I came back to Canada because I had free time. I asked for some free time. I’ve been missing her sometimes. She occasionally crosses my mind. I was walking around my old school when I see someone sitting under a tree. I slowly approach the spot and smile

“hi” I say and smile. She looks up

“it’s been a while since I last saw you” she says and jumps up to hug me

“how have you been?” I say

“I’m good. Donghae takes care of me” she says

“so, the two of you are still together?” I felt a bit disappointed

“yes, we’ve been together of 6 years now.”

“he must really love you”

“yes, he does. But not as much as how you loved me” she whispers “oh, look!” she holds up her hand “Donghae and I are getting married!”

“wow, congratulations!” I smile while slowly dying inside

“so, when is the wedding?” I ask her
