Chapter 4

Sungyeol's Assumption

“This meeting has officially ended,” stated the company’s representative. Only after he got up from his chair and left the room did the remaining employees relax.

Sungyeol stretched his arms and groaned. Sitting in a chair for hours had really put a strain on the back of his neck. A few of his coworkers patted him on the back as they left, and soon he was the only person in the room. He got up from his chair and walked over to the window. Peering down at the people below, he wondered how they could still live carefree lives as he once used to.
Sungyeol sighed and made his way to the door. He threw away the trash from earlier’s lunch, and froze as he noticed a note peeking from inside the paper bag. He pulled it out and a smile fell upon his face.
” I love you, Sungyeol! Fighting!
He thought back to the way you were acting this morning, and wondered why he didn’t realize it before. You weren’t rushing him because you were eager to get rid of him. That wasn’t it at all.
Sungyeol cleared his throat and readjusted his tie. He wanted to go home and see you as soon as possible.
