Epilogue
You're My Destiny5 years later.
He ran his fingers through my long silky black hair and twirled the fine strands around his index finger as I leaned on the grand ebony table, cupping my face with my palms as I supported its weight with my elbows propped on the flat surface.
“I’m so tired,” I whined, as my arms collapsed and I sprawled across the hundreds of pages of documents.
My companion let out a y chuckle as he landed a soft kiss on the top of my head before continuing to scribble on his notebook. We had been stuck in our home office vetting through the documents all day, picking on each minor detail. The merger was going great and we were in the midst of acquisitions and hence the scrutinizing of contracts to ensure that the terms were beneficial to us. The Lee Corporation and Nam Enterprise merger was renamed to Hyunmin Holdings, in recognition and loving memory of Woohyun’s late father.
I was about to fall asleep on the hard furniture when a high-pitched squeal resounded throughout the mansion, “I’m home!!!”
Within seconds, the pitter-patter of quick footsteps could be heard down the stairs before the burgundy heavy wooden door was pushed open and my bundle of joy came skipping in.
“Mummy!!!” she yelled as she entered the study room.
“Hey Woori baby,” I gently greeted my adorable little princess.
However, her enthusiasm directed towards me instantly died down the moment her eyes landed on the male beside me.
“Woohyun Oppa!” she shrieked as she sprinted towards my male companion and clambered on top of his lap.
I rolled my eyes at her choice of bias and honorifics when my best friend was the same age as I was.
“Yeah right, more like ahjusshi,” I scoffed.
“Aww, stop sulking princess,” Woohyun commented as he pinched my cheeks and cradled my daughter in his other arm.
“I thought I’m your princess oppa?” the young child pouted, mirroring me.
“Oh yes, of course you are my princess,” the charming male pacified the girl as he sealed the promise with a kiss on the lips.
“I can’t believe you’re trying to seduce a kid.”
“Are you jealous baby?” he taunted me.
“No,” came the sharp reply.
“Oppa! Let me show you something…”
Woori wiggled her way out of his arms and ran out of the room again to retrieve whatever surprise she was about to show Woohyun.
“I swear, she loves you more than she loves me,” I whined.
“Of course. I am after all, the irresistible Nam Woohyun,” he smugly announced with a dimpled smile as he lifted his hands and formed a heart above his head.
As an immature comeback, I pinched his , resulting in an escalation of wrestling as he tackled me and administered the tickle torture.
“Right, I thought you said you were busy. Here I am chauffeuring the small princess from kindergarten and my wife is here in the arms of another man,” a voice rang out from the doorway, tone lacking any form of anger or jealous despite the words.
"Hey baby," I greeted my gorgeous husband as he slowly strutted over to my seat and leaned in for a backhug.
"Thanks for picking up the spoilt brat," I said as I turned my head to the side to peck Myungsoo on the lips.
Unsatisfied with the light kiss, Myungsoo pulled me off the seat and turned me around, wrapping his arms around my waist as he pulled me in for a passionate lip-locking session.
"Eww, get a room," Woohyun joked.
I had indeed waited for Woohyun for three whole years as he served his sentence; time effectively spent on his part. Not only did he carry out his prison duties effectively, he had requested for Myungsoo to pass him lecture notes and textbooks so he could read them in his spare time. He then underwent intensive tuition upon getting released before sitting for his examinations which he passed with flying colours. Here sitting in the study room was my best friend and my co-owner of Hyunmin Holdings.
Thinking back on what happened made my heart swell in pride, I was utterly impressed at how Woohyun managed to get back on his feet following his disastrous mistakes. He picked up the responsibilities of the company his father left behind, rendering a great helping hand to me and Myungsoo, allowing my husband to pursue his passion instead. Myungsoo was now the owner of Seoul's biggest photography gallery; an inspiration to all budding photographers out there.
As for me, I finally decided to open up my heart to someone else aside from Woohyun and the result was the best husband anyone could ask for. We decided to officially date for a while, as girlfriend and boyfriend and not friends, allowing Myungsoo to introduce me to a whole spectrum of unbelievably sweet courting techniques. After a year of dating, he eventually proposed to me in the most romantic picture-perfect way possible; at the top of the Eiffel tower with a huge princess-cut pink diamond ring on bended knees.
We waited for Woohyun to come out of prison before holding our grand wedding where he was Myungsoo's best man. A year later, we were gifted with a beautiful bouncing baby girl we named after the couple name tagged to me and Woohyun. Although she picked up all my princess habits, she was a mirror image of her gorgeous father; with deep dimples, stunning dark orbs placed on a perfect V-shaped face.
"Oppa here!" the said girl came toddling back into the room waving a piece of paper and we halted our public display of affections instantly.
The little hyper princess threw her drawing on the table before climbing up onto my chair with the aid of her favourite uncle.
"Look oppa! This is our family!" she pointed towards the four colourful crayon-drawn figures.
"This is oppa!" she said excitedly as she pointed to the red figure on the left of the picture.
"This is mummy and daddy," she continued as she pointed to the black and purple figures on the right hand side.
"And this is Woori!" she exclaimed; referring to the person drawn in pink between the red and black ones; holding their hands.
"Oh you're the pink one? But mummy loves pink," Woohyun commented.
"Yes, but I love pink more. And I'm the pink princess!"
Her announcement left all three adults in laughter, this was indeed a happy family as Woori had painted on paper. I leaned into Myungsoo's embrace as he cuddled me tighter and placed a kiss on my forehead. Woohyun took that gesture as a hint to leave us alone, not forgetting to bring the spoilt brat along.
"Alright, come here Woori, let's go. You're spending this weekend with oppa remember?"
"Yes!!!" came the excited reply as the bubbly girl waved a goodbye to her parents before allowing her uncle to scoop her up in his arms and headed towards his place.
Woohyun does this about one weekend a month, helping us to take care of Woori so we could have some private time to ourselves. We were eternally grateful for that and it seemed like Woori enjoyed time with him a lot.
"So baby...now that our daughter is gone...how about I make you some spaghetti for dinner and we can move on to enjoy dessert?" my husband teased as he latched his lips onto the back of my neck, alternating between light kisses and gentle bites.
"Ooh," I let out a moan as his mouth moved up to my ear where I was most sensitive.
"So...what did you have in mind for dessert?"
"You know exactly what I have in mind..." Myungsoo whispered into my ear, causing a tingle to rise up my spine.
"...for all ten rounds of dessert," he completed and I instantly melted into a puddle of goo in his arms.
"With that much dessert...I'm not going to be able to get out of bed tomorrow morning..."
"Well you don't have to baby, I'll make you breakfast in bed."
In between laughter, kisses, cuddles, pushes, hugs, tickles and giggles, we somehow made it through dinner and soon found ourselves sprawled on the huge king sized bed.
"I love you so much, Yuri."
"I love you too, Myungsoo."
No further words were exchanged as we joined as one; starting off on a night of passionate love-making as we ascended to heaven multiple times.
