Your POV

“Well that was interesting” Baekhyun said as we all walked out the conference room, walking back to where we signed the contracts. You can say that again. As you walked, you didn’t dare look towards Suho’s way. You still had that funny feeling when he held your hand. You looked at your hand and you couldn’t help but blush. You seriously needed your best friend right now.

“Boo!” Someone walked beside you. You looked up and saw your brother and smiled. “You okay?” He asked you as he looked at your face. No! I think I have a crush on one of your friends, oh and we were holding hands during the conference too.

“I’m fine” You smiled as you took a seat and your brother following. A minute later Manager Oppa, Eunji and Bora walked in to inform us what happens now.

“Okay so since we revealed that Minah’s brother is Xiumin-ssi, we’re not 100% sure how the fans will react so we’ll have to wait on that” Eunji smiled.

“But this won’t affect anything, right?” D.O asked “I mean we still get to work with Minah and Etude, right?”

Eunji laughed “Yeah, it won’t affect your work, I’m just worried about how the fans will take to Minah” They all looked at me as I blushed.

“I’m sure the fans will love her” Your brother smiled “I mean you haven’t even met any of our fans yet, right?” They all looked at me again as I bit my lip.

“Minah?” Lay spoke my name.

I looked at him “I-I met some of your fans” You frowned. “Not the best experience, I’ll admit”

“When?” My brother asked, surprised that you haven’t told him.

“Yesterday, as I was leaving to come here” You sighed “Three high school girls stopped me and asked me questions” You looked at your brother as he held your hand.

“Are you okay?” He asked you.

You faked a smile “Yeah, you know me” You bit your lip again “I’m a tough girl” Your brother frowned at this, he knew you were lying but he didn’t say anything more as this was not the place for that conversation but he was sure to talk to you about it tonight.

“Okay, that didn’t go well” Eunji smiled “But I’m sure not all Exo fans will react like that”

“Yeah, most of them are really awesome and welcoming” Sehun smiled proudly as you nodded.

“What about the fact that I’m currently living with Exo?” You asked as you looked at the three adults in front of you.

Manager Oppa smiled “I’ve told the reporters to not mention that but if someone should decide to publish that information then we’ll deal with it”

“Don’t worry about it too much since it’s lonely temporary and one of the members is your brother” Eunji smiled too. She checked her diary then spoke again “That’s all for now, our next meeting is tomorrow to go through the different concepts of our campaign and Etude will be taking BTS photos” She looked at everyone “They want the photos to be casual so please dress comfortably like you’re hanging with your friends for the day” She laughed “Which I guess is what’s happening tomorrow” We all laughed with her.

As the brief meeting ended, your brother turned to you “What’s on your schedule next?” Good question. You turned to Bora Unnie and asked her.

“You have 3 meetings today” She read off her tablet. You smiled and thanked her.

You turned to your brother again “Well there you go” Your brother smiled. “And yourself?”

Your brother asked Manager Oppa before turning back today “We have practice all day for an upcoming concert” You nodded. “Hey, when you we both get home tonight. How about we go for a walk and get some food?” Your brother suggested as you smiled. You were so excited, you’ve wanted to hang out with your brother ever since you got here and now that you can, and you couldn’t wait.

“Okay!” You smiled as Bora called your name, telling you that you had to go to your first meeting. You stood up and gave your brother a hug before turning towards Exo. “I’ll be going first” You told them. “Have a good practice day! Exo Fighting!” You smiled as you bowed and left. However not before looking at Suho who was staring back as you both smiled. The damn butterflies are going crazy right now.

Suho’s POV

So I’ve established that I like Minah and now I think I’ve uncovered that she might like me too. When we were in the press conference and I sensed that she was nervous, I just held her hand in mine like it was the natural thing to do and when she didn’t let go I’ll admit that felt good. It meant that there was a small chance that she felt the same way I did. I am definitely sure I like her, when I held her hand that cliché electric jolt feeling happened. Now I just had to figure out my next move and how to tell Minseok Hyung that I like his little sister. To be honest, I’m scared because I know how protective Hyung is of Minah and to him she’s likes everything which meant that he cared very much on who did and didn’t date his little sister. What to do now?

“Hyung, you okay?” Kyungsoo asked me. I turned to him as we walked towards the SM building to practice for a concert.

“Kyungsoo-ah” I gulped “I’ve figured it out” I told him as I looked at him.

“What? That you like Minah-ah?” He looked at me and smirked. I panicked, fearing that the others heard so I covered his mouth.

“Yah! Don’t be so loud!” I looked at the other members walking ahead of us. I dropped my hand and looked at him. “A-And how’d you know?” I asked him as he laughed and put his arm around my shoulder.

“Hyung, you’re so obvious” D.O said. “And plus I saw the way you two looked at each other when you were both in your room”

“Do you think she knows?” I asked him.

D.O laughed and shook his head “I think Minah is too busy trying to figure out her own feelings to notice yours”

You blushed as you both walked inside your practice room. You shook your head, now is not the time to think about this. For now it was time to focus on the group and the practice. Everyone in the room sat on the floor.

“Should we check to see if the news is out about Minah-ah and Minseok Hyung?” Kai suggested as everyone nodded and took out their phones.

“Read out headlines” Chanyeol said.

We all looked up as Luhan read the last headline with a frown on his face. He sighed as he looked at us. “Should I read it?” He asked looking specifically at Minseok Hyung who nodded.

“Kim Minah, The super model from America. The 20 year old model who recently moved back to Korea is here for the wrong reasons – says a source. Today at a press conference it’s been revealed that Kim Minah is related to Exo’s Xiumin. When asked why she moved back to Korea, the 20 year old reveals that she missed her brother and that she wanted to be here. However a source tells us that the real reason that Minah is back is to get close with her brother’s fellow group members.” Luhan sighed as we all looked at Minseok who had his eyes closed.

“Keep going” The eldest spoke.

“”She’s only here to make a move on the remaining 11 members” a source tells us. We’ve been told that she even enlisted the help of a café worker to buy the members beverages and handing them to them only after receiving something in return. According to report, Kim Minah was chosen as the new face of Etude House purely because of her older brother, Xiumin” Luhan stopped again “We don’t have to read this, Minseok-ah” He whispered.

“Read it till the end” Minseok sighed “P-Please”

“It seems that this was all a set-up and through the power of family connections, the model was able to get this project. Although it’s still unclear whether Kim Minah was chosen as the new Etude House model because of her connections with Exo but one thing that fans are believing is that the 20 year old’s intentions towards Exo are not pure. “I think she just wants to get close to our Oppas and use them for her own reasons” A fan shares with us. Stay tuned as we bring more updates on this issue” Luhan finished as the room went silent. No one wanted to say anything, afraid that if we said the wrong thing, it could all go wrong. I looked at Luhan who nodded as he got up and sat next to Minseok. Luhan put his hand on his shoulder.

“You know none of that was true” Luhan told him. “It’s just some reporter wanting to create drama out of nothing”

“Yeah Hyung, we all know that Minah isn’t like that” Baekhyun added “I’m sure that this article will be taken down. Nothing in it is true except that she’s your sister” He chuckled as he bit his lip.

“What did the fans say?” Minseok mumbled as he looked at Luhan. “Read the fan comments”

Luhan looked at him “Are you sure?” Minseok nodded.

“Kim Minah should just go back to America, she can’t have Exo!”

“Like Exo will fall for her, she seems fake”

“Is she even Xiumin Oppa’s sister? Or did she make all that up?” Luhan stopped here, worried for his friend.

“Keep reading” Minseok said. When Luhan stayed silent “Or do you want me to do it” Minseok looked at his friend, his face showing different emotions. Luhan looked at his phone again.

“I don’t think she fits the look of Etude House, all innocent when she’s clearly not”

“Boo! They should replace Kim Minah for someone else”

“I feel sorry for Xiumin Oppa for having her as his sister” That final comment did it as everyone jumped as they heard the door slam as Minseok left the room.

“Oh man, this is bad” Tao frowned.

“You think?” Sehun added as Tao glared at him.

“Poor Minah” Chen frowned “Poor Hyung”

“You don’t think Minah-ah read this already, do you?” Lay asked as no one answered him. I saw Lay take out his phone and dialled a number. I watched him as he slammed his phone down.

“Minah isn’t answering” Lay frowned as he got up and began pacing back and forth.

“She’s probably in a meeting” Kyungsoo said “Doesn’t she have meetings today?”

I nodded “Yeah maybe that’s why she’s not answering her phone, Yixing” I told him as he nodded.

“I’ll just leave her a message then” Lay said as he sat back down and sent Minah a message. I wanted to call her too but maybe I’ll just wait till she gets tonight. Minseok walks back into the room as he threw his phone towards the nearest couch.

“She’s not picking up her phone!” Minseok yelled as Luhan walked over to him to comfort him.

“Maybe she’s busy in a meeting” Luhan suggested as he shook his head.

“No, I can feel it” Minseok sighed “I think she already saw the article and she’s hurting” He told us a he placed his hand over his chest.

I stood up as I walked towards him. I placed my hand on Minseok Hyung’s shoulder and smiled. “We’ll just have to wait it out, Hyung” I sighed “She has things to do and we have things to do” I smiled “Why don’t we work through this practice quickly, so we can leave early and you can see her then” I suggested as Minseok Hyung nodded.

“I’m sure, she’ll be fine!” Kai smiled as everyone got up to cheer up the eldest. Unfortunately Kai got this one wrong.

Your POV

“I feel sorry for Xiumin Oppa for having her as his sister” You read as you felt your tears hit your lips. You wiped them before looking out the window; you were currently in your own van with your team. You were headed to your first meeting when you decided to your SNS when you got a message to check a particular article and when you clicked on it, you instantly regretted it.

“Honey, are you okay?” Greg asked as he looked at you. “Aww don’t cry, you know it’s not true”

“Eunji is fixing everything right now!” Bora smiled as we heard Eunji talk to someone on the phone in the front seat.

Even with them reassuring you, you still couldn’t help but believe the article. You placed your hand over your chest, feeling like you couldn’t breathe. You close your eyes and tried to think of positive thoughts. He did this to you. Before you could handle things like this, it was hard but you were able to get through it but when he arrived in your life, he destroyed everything and he destroyed you.

“Minah, you don’t look so good” Greg looked at you. “Do you want to cancel your schedules today?” You shook your head.

“I-I’ll b-b f-fine” You stuttered. This was your first day; you didn’t want to let anyone down. They all looked at you, not believing you. You faked a smile “I’ll be fine” They eventually gave in and nodded.

You checked your phone and saw that you had missed calls and messages from your best friend, your brother and some of the Exo members but you didn’t have the heart to answer any of them. You just couldn’t handle it. You bit your lip and looked out the window as a tear escaped your eye.

 

 

Xiumin’s POV

“Sorry” I mumbled for the tenth time. I just couldn’t concentrate and I kept messing up. Fortunately the members understood me and were patient enough to start from the beginning. After a while, Suho called for a break. We all sat down as we tried to catch our breath.

“Still nothing, Hyung?” Yixing asked me as I frowned and shook my head. “You?”

Yixing shook his head.

“I just don’t get it, why isn’t she contacting me?” I said.

“Maybe, she’s just busy Hyung” Kai suggested.

I shrugged, I hoped that was the only reason but I knew deep in my heart that it wasn’t.

“Okay, let’s run everything one more time then we’ll call it quits for the day” Manager Hyung, he must have sensed that today was not a good day for everybody.

Your POV

“I feel sorry for Xiumin Oppa for having her as his sister” That was what your mind kept repeating. Did I ruin what my brother has worked so hard for? Am I bad sister?

“Minah-ssi?” Someone called up as I looked up. “Is everything alright?” He asked me.

I smiled “Yes, everything is fine so please continue” You were currently at your last meeting and honestly you couldn’t wait till it was over. You didn’t know how much more of this you could take, you just wanted to go. Maybe go back to America.

“So we would like to offer you the role as the group’s love interest in the music video” The man smiled once again as you nodded.

“Sounds great” You smiled. The meeting finally ended and you told your team that you wanted to go back to dorm immediately. You needed to hide because you could feel yourself slowly breaking down.

You finally arrived at the dorm and the door stood in front of you. With a sigh you opened it and walked in. As soon as you stepped in, you took off your shoes and walked in to the living room. Before the people who currently in the living room could say a word, you fell to the floor and cried. You just cried and cried until you felt someone pick you up.

Xiumin’s POV

“Sssssh” I whispered as I hugged my sister. It pained me to see her like this. I moved her to my bedroom to get some privacy. “It’s going to be okay” I assured her.

“Oppa, it hurts” She whispered

“I know” I told her. “Don’t listen to them, Minah” She placed her head on my lap as I ran my fingers through her hair. “None of it is true”

“Oppa, m-maybe I should just go back to the US” She whispered as my fingers froze.

“What?” I asked.

“Maybe, I’m better off going back to the US” she whispered.

“No” I whispered “Please, don’t go” I pleaded as I held her hand. “I’ll help you through this” Before I knew it, I started crying. “Please don’t leave me”

Minah got up and looked at me. She tackled me into a hug. “Oppa, I won’t leave” I hugged her back “Please don’t cry” I nodded as I wiped her tears and Minah doing the same with me.

“Why don’t you go to sleep” I smiled as I tucked her in. “We’ll talk more tomorrow” She nodded as I kissed her forehead and walked out of the room. I quickly made my way to the couch and sat down.

“Hyung how is she?” Kai asked me as I sighed.

“She talked about going back to America” I spoke. “But hopefully, she won’t leave me. Not again”

“What can we do?” D.O asked.

“We need to be there for her” Suho spoke as we looked at him “We need to help her through this”

“How?” Chanyeol asked.

Suho smiled “By showing our fans that she’s someone we care about and if they truly are our fans then they will welcome her”

The members nodded as they thought of plans to help my sister. I smiled as I listened to my friends find ways to help Minah.

 

Your POV

I groaned as I opened my eyes. I got up as I walked towards the kitchen. My head was killing me and I probably look like a mess right now. I poured myself a glass of water as I sat down. I checked my phone and saw that I had messages from my parents and Hyeri.

“Minah” Someone whispered my name. I looked up and saw Suho Oppa, rubbing his eyes cutely.

“Good morning, Oppa” I smiled as he sat down next to me.

“Are you okay?” He asked me.

“I will be” You told him as he nodded. For a moment there was silence.

“A-about yesterday” Suho began, you placed your hand on top of his.

“Thank you” He looked at you. “For everything” You squeezed his hand.

There was silence again as you watched Suho, think. He smiled before he interlaced his fingers with yours. You blushed.

“Minah-ah” He called your name.

“Hmm” You mumbled still trying not to freak out that he was holding your hand.

“D-Do you want to maybe hang out?” He blushed as he looked at you.

“Hang out? Like a date?” You asked him, not wanting to assume anything.

He blushed again “No….Yes…Maybe…I mean-“He stuttered as you giggled. Finally he spoke again. “Yes” You blushed. “Would you go on a date with me?” He bit his lip as he looked at you.

You blushed too and nodded “I’d love to”

He smiled “Really?!” You nodded again as he hugged you. You wrapped your arms around him.

“It’s always you two, I catch” Someone said as we both pulled away.

“Good morning, Kyungsoo Oppa” You smiled as he smiled too.

“Good morning indeed, how are you feeling?” He asked me as he began to prepare breakfast.

“Much better” You said as you looked at Suho who smiled at you.

D.O chuckled. “Why don’t you two wake up the members so we can have breakfast” You nodded as you both got up. “Oh and try not to get too distracted with each other” He added as you both walked out.

“I swear he’s evil” I said as Suho laughed. Suho took my hand in his again and stopped me.

“What?” I asked.

“I want to hug you again” He blushed as you smiled. You stepped closer to him and wrapped your arms around his waist. He wrapped his arms around you and buried his face in your hair. You placed your head on his chest.

“Better?” You smiled as you pulled away but before you could, he planted a kiss on your forehead.

“Much better” He smiled as you blushed.

“Casual enough to hang out with friends?” You asked the members as you showed them your outfit. They all gave you thumbs up. You smiled as you sat on the floor, next to Lay.

“Whatcha doin, Oppa?” You smiled as he turned to you. “Texting your girlfriend?” You teased as he blushed. You gasped. “Do you really have a girlfriend, Oppa?” When he didn’t answer you, you decided to use your aegyo.

“Oppaaaaaaa” You pulled on his shirt “Tell meeeeeee” You pouted as he chuckled. He pinched your cheeks.

“You’re adorable” He smiled.

“Don’t change the subject” You said as he sighed.

“Not a girlfriend, just someone I’m getting to know” He blushed as you smiled.

“That’s so adorable” You squealed.

“What about you, Minah?” It was D.O who smirked at you. “Got a boyfriend?” You looked at Suho who blushed.

“N-No” You said which was technically true since you and Suho haven’t even gone on a date together yet.

“Is there anyone you’re interested in?” This time it was Chen who asked you.

You blushed “Maybe” You smiled.

“Oooh gossip time” Baekhyun smiled as he sat next to you. “Tell us”

“Please don’t” It was your brother who spoke. “I don’t want to know”

“Well we do” Sehun smirked “So come on, spill”

You quickly stood up “W-We should go before we’re late” You didn’t wait for their response before you quickly exited the room. Your heart beating as you thought about Suho and your upcoming date. You couldn’t wait.

You arrived at your destination and as you walked out, you were surrounded by Exo fans. Your brother assured you that everything is going to be alright as you all walked out of the van. Before you could take a step, you heard some of the fans spout out hurtful comments. Here it comes again; you can feel yourself starting to panic.

“Hey!” Someone yelled out as the crowd got quiet. Everyone looked at Lay, surprised that a quiet member had such a loud and powerful voice. “Stop hurting her”

“Why Oppa? She’s not nice!” One of the fans yelled out.

“How do you know that?” It was Baekhyun who spoke. “Because a news article says so?” This time nobody spoke so he continued.

“Minah is good person. She’s like a sister to us and despite what some article says she is not trying to seduce any of us” You smiled as Baekhyun smiled at you.

“She’s trying to steal Exo away for us!” Someone said.

“No, she’s not!” Kai smiled at me. “She’s family so if you don’t love Minah like we love her then you aren’t really our fans” He smirked at you. You were overwhelmed by the amount of support your brother’s members were giving you.

“She’s my little sister and I don’t want to see her cry so please don’t be mean to her” It was your older brother who spoke. For a moment no one said anything.

“So you see that article was false” It was the leader who spoke this time. “Minah is not a bad person and it would be great if you could support her and Exo” He smiled at you. “Okay we’re going now but please no more hate and we’ll see you soon” that was the cue for everyone to quickly rush into the building. As soon as we all walked in you could hear everyone sigh.

“Thank you” You told them. “Thank you for sticking up for me” They all smiled at you.

“That’s what big brothers do” Kris smiled. “We’re your family now too”

You nodded. Baekhyun opened his arms. “Now give Oppa some lovin” He smirked as you giggled and tackled him into a hug. You hugged each member and thanked them. You hugged Suho last as he wrapped his arms around you.

“Thanks” You whispered as he chuckled and quickly kissed your hair before releasing you.

“Now let’s go to this meeting” You told him as you all walked into the room.

Lay pulled you back as the rest of them walked in ahead of you two.

“So you and Suho huh” He smirked as you blushed. “Don’t think I didn’t see your little moment together” before you could say anything. “I expect the full story tonight” He smiled and walked in. You had some explaining to do.
