It was as if she has been living by the words of Theodore Roosevelt. The light has gone out of my life. My light; my parents, thought Hye Rin, has disappeared out of my life. As cliché as it sounds, Hye Rin figured out continuing secluding herself from the others wouldn’t be the life her parents would want her to have. Since there was no more food left at home, Hye Rin figured that going out to get some groceries would her first step into stepping out of her grief. But neither did she know that grief would be changed into fear.
It started raining after Hye Rin went out and she didn’t had an umbrella so she had her hands covering her. She tried to focus on the red tiles on the pathway and avoiding bumping into anyone but it wasn’t long before she did.
“I’m so sorry!” She cried out “I didn’t mean t-”
Hye Rin looked up to apologise to the man she bumped into but the red numbers on top of the man’s head was distracting.
