It’s been two weeks since the incident at Seunghyun’s place. And every one I met after that had numbers above their head, except for Seunghyun. Time count: two months after Mum and Dad had left for the skies and also two months since the numbers started appearing in my life but the two months had also meant confusion for me. Till now, I do not understand the meaning or purpose of the numbers. Until the next day when I allowed sleep to take over me, Mum and Dad came to visit me in my dreams.

I could feel the warmth from their body, embracing me. Mum’s hands ran over my cheeks softly and Dad gave me a smile, something I’ve missed dearly.

“How have you been, darling?”

I tried to reply but tears came out instead.

“Hush.” Daddy said.

"I-" I chocked. “I just missed you guys so badly, I don’t even know how I survived, I-“

My emotions took over me, I said everything that was kept in my heart for the past two months. My longing for them was obvious and both of them just stood right in front of me and listened.

And when I was done, “Listen baby.” Mum said.

“I know our departure was sudden. Neither of us wanted that.” Dad nodded. “But what has happened, has happened. Some things can’t be undone, sweetie. I’m sorry the-“

“No, Mum, there’s something I don’t understand. The red numbers I see-“ I interrupted.

“Exactly what I’m trying to say, listen well honey. Our death has left a scar in your heart and both your dad and I wanted to do something to help you cope with it but there is nothing much we can do. So the best thing we can do for you is those numbers you’ve been seeing.” Mum explained.

“As you know by now, those numbers mean the hours, minutes and seconds for one’s life. The reason why you are seeing them is to prepare your heart for one’s leaving. As weird as it sounds, you’ll be able to know when someone will die and leave you. We hope you will be stronger that way. We’re sorry we can’t stay by
