Marketplace Layouts How-To

UNDERSTANDING CONTENT TAGS

Layout makers use {CONTENTID#} to set general text areas for users to 'insert' or 'plug-in' their own content by surrounding their text with the corresponding tags [CONTENTID#] and [/CONTENTID#].

The symbol break down:

Symbols used by the layout maker:

{CONTENTID#}

{  =  Open brace

}  =  Close brace

CONTENTID  =  Specified ID

#  =  Number, is replaced with counting numbers (ie. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc.)

Symbols used by the layout user:

[CONTENTID#] [/CONTENTID#]

[  =  Open bracket

]  =  Close bracket

CONTENTID  =  Specified ID

#  =  Number, is replaced with counting numbers (ie. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc.)

/  =  Slash, indicates the end tag

ie. [CONTENTID1]  =  CONTENTID1 start tag  =  verbal: "Begin CONTENTID1"

ie. [/CONTENTID1]  =  CONTENTID1 end tag  =  verbal: "End CONTENTID1"

When using content tags (for layout users):

When you type in [CONTENTID1], you are telling the system that you want to start filling {CONTENTID1} with your own content (text, images, etc.). Once you finish filling {CONTENTID1} with your own content, typing in [/CONTENTID1] will tell the system that you are done filling CONTENTID1.

ie. If you want the word "Hello" to appear where {CONTENTID1} is, type in [CONTENTID1]Hello[/CONTENTID1].

ie. If you want the sentence "My name is You." to appear where {CONTENTID2} is, type in [CONTENTID2]My name is You.[/CONTENTID2]

ie. If you want the paragraph "My name is actually Ricky but I would prefer it if you called me You. No, I am not trolling. I am not a troll. Although my wife thinks I am just because I stole the name of her make-believe kingdom and turned it into my username just to make fun of her obsession with writing fanfiction." to appear where {CONTENTID3} is, type in [CONTENTID3]My name is actually Ricky but I would prefer it if you called me You. No, I am not trolling. I am not a troll. Although my wife thinks I am just because I stole the name of her make-believe kingdom and turned it into my username just to make fun of her obsession with writing fanfiction.[/CONTENTID3]

You must have the corresponding start tag and end tag. Start tag does not have the slash symbol. End tag does have the slash symbol. Imagine the slash being a "cut off" motion like you are "ending it" for lack of a better verb. You must have a start tag and an end tag. The start tag at the beginning of your text and an end tag at the end of your text. Tags must all be in uppercase.

Hello! I'm using Nihilism for my story and I have it covered BUT I can't change the alignment of the texts. I want it some center-aligned and some, left-aligned so is there a way to make that possible? Thank you! :))
