Heechul swam lazily through the undersea caverns, as though he were bored of his surroundings. 

Beside him, swam his best friend Hankyung. Heechul turned to him, and gave a small giggle.

Swimming ahead of Hankyung in a sudden excitement, Heechul zipped in and out of the caverns, swimming in loops in the water, laughing breathlessly.

"Hannie come on! Keep up!" he called swimming far ahead of the other merman.

"You're excited, what happened to you?" Hankyung chuckled swimming after the Prince.

"Oh Hannie it was amazing, you'll never believe it!" Heechul cried, he lead his friend into a cavern, swimming through a seaweed barrier, and reaching up to untie his necklace.

He hung it on a wooden hanger which contained many other jewelled pieces from shipwrecks he had plundered.

"Don't you have enough already?" Hankyung asked.

"Never is enough. I want more Hannie, so much more." Heechul sighed. "Like this thing, what the heck is it? What do they use it for? What is it called?"

Heechul held a broken lantern in front of Hankyung, waving his other arm around excitedly.

"You see this? It's a book Hannie, humans read these scribbles here and they make words, they use them to teach, record, all kinds of things! We don't have this, it's amazing," Heechul dropped the lantern and swam to his collection of soaking wet ruined books.

"Because we don't need them," Hankyung said.

"That's not the point. And this, do you know what this is?" Heechul picked up a compass, shaking it in front of Hankyung's face.

"No, and I don't much care."

"It's called a uh...uh...." Heechul frowned, trying to remember what he'd heard a sailor say once. "A...campus? Yeah, that's it. Humans use it to find their way, it points in a direction with this little thingy here, and they can navigate wherever they are!"

"How nice." Hankyung said dryly.

"Hannie you don't understand!" Heechul shrieked throwing up his arms. "No one does! I thought you of all people would understand me."

"I understand you completely. You want to be around dangerous and arrogant humans who destroy and kill everything in their path in their ignorance," Hankyung replied.
