A Bargain
It's Our Seacret"You must stay here Hae, you can't possibly walk on that leg," Siwon insisted, the brisk winds of morning chilling him to the bone.
"But Hyukkie's out there!" Dongahe cried. "Hyung I have to find him!"
"I will find him, you're too injured you'll only slow us down," Siwon tried to reason.
"If I was out there and Hyukkie was here he'd crawl to find me, I won't sit here and do nothing," Donghae said firmly.
Siwon stared at the younger, but he could see the determination in his eyes, and knew there was no point trying to convince him.
"Alright, we'll need to find a way for you to be able to move better in the water." Siwon sighed. "I can help you on land, but in the water we'll be sitting ducks,"
"Maybe something to float on?" Donghae suggested as Siwon slung his arm over his shoulder to help him move out of the cave.
"I'll see what I can fine. Wait here," Siwon lowered Donghae onto a rock and stepped down the rocks towards the bay.
"Hyung! Hyung look!" Donghae shouted.
Siwon's head snapped up and he saw once again, the merman that had been haunting the bay since he arrived.
"It's you again," he murmured.
This time the beautiful creature did not swim away, but instead he stared at the two humans, a safe distance away in the deep water.
All Siwon could see of him was his eyes, the rest of his body hidden beneath the water.
"Could I have my comb back please?" the creature's voice was muffled from the water, but Siwon was nonetheless stunned when he spoke.
His voice was deeper than he'd been expecting, but not unpleasant.
A voice silky smooth, but dangerous, one that seemed to promise all the desires of the world, for a deadly price.
"Your..." words failed Siwon as he tried to process what the merman had said, while at the same trying to get over the fact that he had spoken at all.
"My comb. You stole it, and I would like it back." The rest of his head came into view, glare as fierce as the sea itself.
"Give it to me or I'll drag you down to meet the sirens," he threatened.
He was bluffing, he didn't really have the power to do that, especially since the man was on land where he was completely powerless, but the human didn't know that, and Heechul was determined to use that.
Who knows how dangerous this human could be, Heechul had to establish power now or he could die.
"The sirens? Oh hyung give him whatever he wants please don't let us get eaten by sirens," Donghae moaned.
Heechul looked at the other human. "You know of sirens man-child?" he questioned.
Was his cover blown?
"I'm not a child, I'm almost twenty-six," Donghae pouted. "And yes, my mother taught me all about them. Beautiful creatures that sing like angels and lure men to their deaths at sea before eating them whole, oh please Mi
