Differences Between UsChapter Eight
"Hi"
Lay's husky voice was the first thing Krystal heard as she came out from the bathroom, wearing nothing but a towel.
Krystal was so surprised that she could only gape t the other dumbly for a few seconds before finally uttering a single "Hai" back. Lay, however, couldn't keep his eyes off the girl.
"Stop staring!" Krystal finally snapped, attempting to shield her body from Lay's smoldering gaze.
"Sorry," Lay blinked, chuckling as he scratched his head awkwardly, shifting from left to right on his feet.
"How come you're up so early?" Krystal asked in an attempt to make conversation.
"Thanks to a whole lot of alarms," Lay admitted.
"Why?" Krystal asked, confused.
"So that I could see you go from the bathroom to the bedroom," Lay mentioned casually, resting his arm on the wall.
"Right."
There was an awkward pause, before Lay made his way towards her. "You know something? You look beautiful."
"Thank you," Krystal said slowly, almost cautiously.
Lay moved closer. "And you smell great," Lay added with smile.
"Thank you. Now l'm shy, and l'm going to go to my room," Krystal smiled awkwardly, turning around.
Before she could leave, Lay held onto her wrist, pulling her so close such that were faces were almost touching. "Listen. Have you got ten minutes?" Lay asked, his nose touching Krystal's nose.
"Why?" Krystal asked nervously, her breath hitched.
"Tell me. Just ten minutes?" Lay repeated, staring straight into her eyes in an almost intimidating way.
"Yes," Krystal finally breathed.
"Good. Come with me," Lay lead Krystal to the balcony, tugging on her hand.
It wasn't long before the two started munching on the eggs and ham Lay cooked. "I can't believe you woke up specially to make me breakfast," Krystal said with full of food.
"Breakfast is the most imporant meal of the day. You'll have to eat a proper breakfast evey day now," Lay announced cheerfully, and taking a seat next to Krystal. //
"Think about it," Krystal said, swallowing her food. "You'll have to get up early every morning."
"I'll get used to it," Lay replied without hesistation and Krytal was lost for words.
"Oh God, look at the time!" Deciding to avert the situation, Krystal suddenly gasped, glancing at her watch. "I'm really late, I got to go," She quickly wiped and stood up from her chair.
//"Wait. Have you got ten seconds?" Lay held onto her hand, trying to pull her closer. Before he managed to kiss her, Krystal gave his cheek a quick peck before running off. "I've got to go. Bye!"
"Frustrated yet smiling," Lay smiled and continued watching the back of Krystal's silhoutte as she ran to the gate.
At some night club that night, Kris and Lay were found chugging down beer.
"I just don't understand women, dude!" Kris complained.
"I mean, if you don't want an answer then why ask the question? lt's unbelievable! Thrice, thrice I told her. 'No, you haven't put on weight!' And then she started up again. Say swear, say swear. So I said, It's okay if you've put on a couple of kilos. Doesn't make a difference to me," Kris grumbled.
"Oh! Wrong answer!" Lay announced after sipping his drink.
"I know, I know. That's where the whole fight began. And then our families got involved," Kris grabbed his own hair, frustrated.
"How?" Lay asked, taking another sip of his beer.
"We started abusing each other's families," Kris admitted plainly.
"What?!" Lay choked.
"And you won't believe what she did after that. She started throwing the bloody biscuits at me, dude. And not the whole packet at once. She was throwing them one by one at me!" Kris whined.
