Bom and Seunghyun sat on the sofa and sighed. They were silent for a while as they tried to put Sanjee to sleep. Seunghyun held Sanjee in his arms, while Bom stared in to a distance, her thoughts travelling to somewhere else.

“We could try asking the Noona with seven children.” Seunghyun said, breaking the silence between them, trying to lighten up the mood. Apparently the two of them couldn’t find anyone who is capable of taking care of Sanjee. “You know… They were able to raise a lot so I guese they’re pretty good with kids…”

Bom shook her head and sighed.

“We could try again tomorrow? Maybe we could find someone.” Seunghyun suggested in a questioning tone. Even he, himself doubted if they’d ever find anyone. He doubted if trying again do them any good, but he wasn’t sure if he and Bom were the best parents for Sanjee. He wasn’t confident about his decisions. It was stressing him out. He loves Sanjee so much, but he wasn’t sure if he had what it takes to be her new dad. He also wasn’t sure if teaming up with Bom would be a good idea. After all, they don’t get along very well. Things might get complicated for Sanjee if they’d push through a decision where in they aren’t comfortable at.

“Seunghyun, you still don’t get it do you?” She asked and he looked at her in a puzzled expression. “There won’t be anyone else. There won’t be another try tomorrow. We have to keep her. There won’t be anyone else better for her because she already has us. I can’t risk giving her to people who aren’t even interested at her.”

Seunghyun kept his gaze at the toddler who had her eyes closed while drinking her milk from her baby bottle. He felt some sort of warmth as he stared at Sanjee.

“Do you really think, we’re the best parents for her?” He asked as he turned his gaze towards Bom. Bom gave him a half-hearted smile. She wasn’t sure of her decision as well, but she was willing to do whatever it takes to her niece happy.

“Even if we aren’t…. We have to try…” Bom said as she wiped the tears in her eyes. “Besides, Yunho called a while ago. He’s gonna bring the contract as soon as we’ve finally made a decision. Let’s just talk about this tomorrow… It has been a long day for us…”

With that, Bom left Seunghyun and went to Dara and Jiyoung’s room. She laid down on their bed and stared at the ceiling. She was too worried to sleep. There were a lot of thoughts in her head. She was afraid. She wasn’t sure if she could really do it, if she could really live in one house with Seunghyun and raise Sanjee.

She and Seunghyun never had a good relationship with each other. They never get along very well, ever since their date got ruined. Bom had grown to hating the fact that she had to see him every time she visits Jiyoung, Dara and Sanjee. For Bom, Seunghyun’s some sort of allergy that she’s so irritated at but had to get used to.

She didn’t expect for things to come to that point. Before, she only had to worry about seeing Seunghyun every time she would visit her Dara, but now she has to worry about seeing Seunghyun every freaking day of her life, what’s even worse is that she has a kid to raise with him. Everything was all too much for her to absorb.

Her thoughts couldn’t help but travel back to those moments she spent with him especially to that night that she first met him…

Seunghyun on the other hand, instead of going to the guest room to take a nap, stayed in Sanjee’s room. He sat on a chair near her crib and watched her sleep. Bom’s words rang in his ears as he looked at the peaceful figure of the toddler before him.

“There won’t be anyone else. There won’t be another try tomorrow. We have to keep her. There won’t be anyone else better for her because she already has us. I can’t risk giving her to people who aren’t even interested at her.”

Bom seemed to be pretty determined of her decision already. He couldn’t help but feel worried. In a few days he and Bom will be granted with the custody over Sanjee. He’ll become a father soon and to think that he didn’t do much to have a child. It was funny and at the same time frustrating for him.

He spent years having the time of his life, going to parties, getting drunk and fooling around with women. He wasn’t really an adult that you’d regard as responsible. He didn’t have many plans in life, unlike Bom who had everything planned before her. He couldn’t stand the fact that Bom’s life is run by instructions. It’s like she has to follow some sort of manual or recipe book every day. It’s like she always has to follow a certain schedule and he just couldn’t live with a person like that. It was boring and shackling. Seunghyun has always been the type to go with the flow. He doesn’t follow a script, a plan or a schedule. He likes to have fun and experiment. He doesn’t want to disappoint and stress himself with expectations.

Seunghyun knew he and Bom were just different people. He doubt if things will work out between the two of them. He knew that they need to think of something and settle things. If they don’t, it will be complicated for Sanjee.

He wants to give her a normal family, but how will that work out if he and Bom are too different? For years that they’ve been Jiyoung and Sandara’s friends they have never got a long, not even once.

‘Perhaps it was my fault? If I had been a good date to her that night, would things change the way it had always been between us? If I had been a proper date that night, could it have made things better for us right now?’ He thought to himself as his thoughts travel to that night he first saw her…

Seunghyun stood in front of the door step as he gazed at the woman who had just opened the door for him. The woman on the other hand, looked at him with her gorgeous eyes.  She smiled at him despite the fact that he had been an hour late for their date. She had to admit that she was pissed at him, but when she saw him at her door step with that gorgeous smirk on his face, everything she felt went away. He was gorgeous. She had to admit, what Dara told her was right. He was as gorgeous as her highschool crush, Yunho, probably even more gorgeous than him. He was probably the most gorgeous man she had ever seen.  He had brown hair; dark brown eyes a sharp jawline… He was clad in casual clothes…. He wore jeans and brown jacket over a plain white t-shirt, a total contrast to what she was wearing for the night. She blushed as she looked touched the hem of her dressed.

‘Perhaps I was over dressed for the occasion?’ She thought as she bit her lip in a shy manner. Seunghyun on the other hand, couldn’t help but find that gesture adorable.

He couldn’t help but admire how beautiful she was. She wore light make up. Her hair was brown and curled at the ends. She wore a semi-formal dressed that hugged her body, beautifully, showing her beautiful figure. But what truly was stunning about her were her eyes. She had beautiful eyes that made her look so pure and innocent, different from the other girls he dated. He had to admit, her look and style for that night was y, but as he looked into her eyes he saw someone far more different behind her physical look…

“You must be, Seunghyun…” She said with a smile, breaking the long and awkward atmosphere before them.

“Top…. Please, call me, Top. That’s how Jiyoung and my other friends call me. And you must be Bom?” He said as he held his hand out to her for a handshake in which she accepted politely.

“Hello, Top. I guess we should be going now?” She asked and with that they stepped out of her house.

The two of them walked along the side walk towards a motor bike. Seunghyun hopped in and handed a protective helmet towards Bom who stood behind him with a puzzled expression.

“Umm… I’m not really dressed for a motorcycle ride…” Bom said awkwardly as she touched the hem of her short dress, pointing out that it will make her uncomfortable to ride in Seunghyun’s motor bike with that short dress on her.

“Umm, perhaps we could get in my car. I could drive…” Bom suggested as she blushed and Seunghyun hopped out of his motorcycle to follow her towards where she parked a small, green car she purchased after she earned a few money from the small business she just started.

The two of them got inside the car. Bom sat on the driver’s seat and Seunghyun sat on the passenger’s seat.

“So where did you make the reservations?” Bom asked as she started her car.

“What?” Seunghyun asked as he gave her a puzzled expression, having no idea of what she was talking about.

“So you didn’t make any?” Bom asked feeling disappointed. She didn’t know that her date was irresponsible to forget about the reservations. She couldn’t help but feel a bit turned off but she decided to be patient. “Perhaps you know a place we could go to?”

“Well, how about you decide? Anywhere you’d like is fine with me…” He simply said and she nodded.

She drove to a nearby restaurant that belonged to a friend of hers. They got inside and sat on a table for two. They were immediately assisted by a waiter. After they gave their order, they decided to have some small talk.

“So… How long have you known, Jiyoung?” She asked curiously.

“Umm… Since high school….” He simply answered as he looked at her. His eyes travelled down to cleavage that was revealed to him when she shifted her position. Bom seemed to have noticed this and shifted her position in a way that he won’t get to peak at her anymore. Seunghyun felt a bit disappointed but shrugged the thought away. Bom gave him a smile, and hid the fact that she was clearly pissed at him for that erted act.

‘This chick’s a challenge…’ Seunghyun thought as he smirked at her, making her face heat up in embarrassment.

Their conversation was interrupted when Seunghyun’s phone rang. He tried not to answer it, but he ended up answering it anyway.

“Excuse me…” He told Bom before giving his attention to the caller. “Hello?”

He chuckled nervously and kept glancing at Bom who was in front of him wondering whom he was talking to.

“Now’s not really a good time.” Seunghyun said in a tone almost inaudible for him to hear. He was so nervous at that moment that he accidentally pushed a button and set the call on speaker mode.

“I miss you already… You were so good a while ago…” The caller giggled in a flirtatious tone. The caller was a woman and she sounded so annoying.

Seunghyun felt sweat trickle down his forehead as he looked at Bom who seemed to have over- heard what the woman had just said.

‘You were so good a while ago?’ She thought, feeling enraged at what she had just heard. So that explains why he was peaking at her a while ago and that was the lousy reason why he was an hour late for their date. She knew it was slightly wrong to be angry at him since she’s not his girlfriend. But she can’t help but feel annoyed. She agreed to have a date with him because she wanted to find someone she would get to settle down with and become committed to, but it turns out that Seunghyun isn’t that kind of guy. He probably was interested in something else and thinks that she’s one of those girls that he can drag to bed after one or two dates.

Seunghyun chuckled nervously as he hung up on the caller. Bom had her arms crossed over her chest, demanding an explanation.

“She was a sick friend?” Seunghyun reasoned out in a lame manner and Bom rolled her eyes.

“Oh please… I’m not stupid, Seunghyun… If you think I’m one of those girls, well surprise, surprise… I’m not…” She said as she stood up. Seunghyun was shocked. She didn’t expect her to react that way. Bom looked pretty nice and all… Turns out she has her limits after all.

“I’ll give you a tip, don’t show up late and don’t answer a booty call in front of your date. Try doing that and maybe you’ll find a decent girl to go out with you…” Bom said. Seunghyun understood very well why she was mad. He was clearly the one at fault, but his masculine instincts were taking over him. He felt as though his pride was stepped on. It felt embarrassing for a man like him, especially when a lot of people were staring at him, giving him dirty look for disrespecting a woman like Bom.

“Look it wasn’t my fault you were expecting something and it clearly wasn’t my fault that a woman of your age couldn’t get someone to stand her….” Seunghyun answered back, sending Bom off the edge.

 She felt tears cascade her eyes and slapped him hard in front of a lot of people.

“I don’t even know what Jiyoung and Dara were thinking when they set me up with you!” She said, before walking out of the restaurant furiously. She hated him. He was so insensitive,  just like the other guys she had known.

She gave Dara a call as soon as she got inside her car.

“Sandara Park, the only way you could make this up to me if you’d promise that I never have to see him ever again!” She demanded, sobbing though she knew that it was clearly impossible to not see him ever again…

It was ironic how things turned out. – Of how they wished to never see each other again, but got the clear opposite of what they asked for….

A.N.  So here you go… I finally wrote the reason why Bom’s so pissed at Tabi…. XD Tabi’s such a jerk L But I still love him…. Ahahaha…  I hope you guys liked my update! <3 I’ll try to update as soon as I can… Though I won’t be able to promise you guys that I’d be able to update everyday… I’ll be having classes again starting January 6, 2014. College is pretty hard and I’m about to have my Preliminary Exam soon, so I have to focus on my studies. I hope you guys would still wait for my updates and keep up-to date with my story.
