If the person you wanted isn't on the list, please contact me and I will consider adding them. I chose these groups because they are the ones I am the most familiar with and most comfortable writing about. I tried to give the largest range of idols as possible.
Haha. I just noticed that there are more boy groups than girl XD.
You can also use the other members in Vega or Polaris for your relationships if you want (for specific plotlines it's mandatory). You don't need to coordinate with each other but I'll make it work somehow.
CHEATSHEET
1. Please be realistic. Not everyone was an orphan. Not everyone's parents died in a car accident. Not everyone was abused as a child. If you do decide to give your character the dark, dreary, depressed background, please be mindful of their personality as well. A person's background and upbringing is heavily influential in how a person acts. Someone who was abused or abandoned doesn't go around vomitting rainbows.
2. I guess this is sort of an extension of the last tip? Branching off of "be realistic", please no mary-sues or gary-stus. No one is perfect all the time. Give your character flaws and I don't just mean annoying little flaws like "he/she doesn't clean her room" or "he/she's lazy." Those are legitimate little things that I would appreciate but give your character a crutial flaw that could end up as their downfall like "he/she has a tendency to lie under pressure" or "sometimes he/she can be inconsiderate of other people's feelings." The bigger the flaw, the better the story (more drama... oh ho ho ho..).
3. Make your character match the image of the group. Vega and Polaris are hip-hop/urban/r&b groups so the members need to have a sort of tough, edgy, swag to them. They can be dorky. I would love that. Give them layers but I don't want someone who is all aegyo all the time. That is not what this group is all about. Quirky and dorky is different from aegyo.
4. Make your character different and unique. Give them something that sets them apart from the others. Maybe he/she has an obsession with oranges. Do they have a deathly fear of bare feet? I'm going to be reading a bunch of different applications so something about them has to be able to stand out.
5. When applying for a specific role, there has to be something about them, whether it's in their background or in her personality, that shows they is legitimately passionate and talented in that position. Show me that they deserve it. I don't want someone who grew up as a kid going to singing competitions like every month and you apply for the position as "main dancer." Uh. No. That character would be better fit as a "main vocal." Logic.
6. All the little profile things, I pay attention to. It's not just there to give you extra work. Make their height and weight make sense, especially for the girls. I will not accept a girl if she is ridiculously underweight or freakishly tall. Don't give me the excuse that some idol out there is naturally at this height and weight yet gets to eat whatever they want. Nope. I refuse to make this group anorexic. Also, make the languages they speak in make sense as well. How would someone who grew up in Korea their whole life without stepping one foot outside of the country speak prefectly fluent English that rivals that of a native speaker (unless you're AJ from U-KISS and went to international school). Give (realistic) reasons for their spoken languages.
7. Your faceclaim cannot be an idol. It get's way too confusing like that. Also, please make your ulzzang match the personality of your character. If your person is all badass, an aegyo-y ullzzang would not fit that at all....
8. I'm not accepting anyone under 17. Like seriously. It scares me when I see idols out there who are so young. I end up feeling so bad for them...
9. I just wanted to explain the section about the genre of music your character specialized in. The genre of music also should be tied into things that influenced your character in his/her background. If your character took ballet classes as a kid, he/she wouldn't jump right into hip hop. What made him/her switch from hip hop into ballet? There are so many genre's of music out there. There's rock, contemporary, indie, alternative, jazz, etc. Don't all choose pop (you can though if it makes sense based on your character). Make your character diverse but realistic based on his/her background and personality.
10. I go by the three strike system so please keep these in mind when you write your app.
