"Yoona if you still want to continue your career as a reporter, get me an interview with the President. Arasso?"

"Ne. I understand, Editor-nim." Yoona sighed. "I got to go."

Yoona hang up the phone as she walked on the pathway. She exhaled again. She must do everything for this assignment. She'll do everything she can to prove that she's worthy to become a reporter.

The doe eyed reporter read Soojung's text for the nth time. It's still a wonder for her how the little girl was able to text her the address of her school. 

'Damn. Maybe I can't outsmart this little girl' she suddenly starts to worry. 

"Yongsan International School. Yongsan-Gu, Itaewon, Seoul." Yoona read the message again. She looked up from her phone and saw that the place has guards and CCTV everywhere.

"Well, this school has young heirs in the making. They should provide world-class security." Yoona commented. "Eotteoke! How will i do this?!"

The doe eyed girl is still having doubts on how to do her plan. 

'Don't be a chicken, Im Yoona. The bait is already set. You gotta do this.'  she nodded to herself.

When she was about to turn at the corner to the school's gate, a voice immediately called her,

"Eomma!" 

Yoona turned towards the voice and saw Soojung hiding behind the post, wearing her sunglasses and fisherman's hat.

"Oh! Soojung-ah! How in the world you got out?!" she whispered-yell thinking there might be the Presidential guards are around the area. Soojung has her playful smirk on and said,

"We have activities outside our classroom today and I sneaked out while everyone's busy"

"How about your guards?"

"They leave me here at school and will pick me up."

Yoona really underestimate the little girl. Soojung is really smarter than she thought. 

As Yoona was deep in her thoughts, the little girl held her hand.

"Eomma, c'mon. Let's spend our day together!" 

Yoona smiled at the girl unconsciously.

"Gaja, Soojung-ah."

The duo went to a nearby ice cream store to cool themselves from all the walking and hiding that they done. 

"So, Soojung-ah, what do you want?" Yoona asked the little girl.

The little girl thought carefully as is she's going to make the hardest decision in her life.

"Eomma, it's hard to choose!" she whined. "Why does it has a lot of choices?! I want to eat them all!"

Yoona smiled at the little girl. She immediately knew that she's a shikshin like her.

"Aren't you a little shikshin, Soojung-ah." Yoona commented.

"I am! Yuri eomma always telling me that i'm like you!" the little girl said proudly.

Yoona couldn't agree more since she's a self-proclaimed shikshin as well. "So, let's order 1 scoop of everything?" 

The little girl's eyes lit up and nodded enthusiastically. "Really, Eomma?!" which Yoona nodded. She's also excited trying all the flavors of ice cream. 

'Sooyoung will definitely get jealous on this' Yoona said to herself.

 The two shikshins ate their ice cream in a flash and once they're done, they both decided to go to the arcade to play.  

Yoona can't help but be amused with the little child. It's as if she's seeing her younger self on Soojung. She couldn't help but fall in love with her, too.

She even wondered if she really could play with the little girl's heart.

They played hoops, arcade games and even the crane machine. It's as if Yoona is with her friend, not a little girl who's going to be her child. 

'How i wish that this little girl will be like what my child would look like in the future'. Yoona thought.

"Eomma, Soojung is tired. Let's go to somewhere quiet." the little girl said as she pulled her away from her thoughts. 

The reporter nodded and brought the little girl to the nearby cafe she frequently go to.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU LOST HER?!" the ever timid Seohyun yelled at the security men.

They informed the chief secretary that the first daughter is missing. They were sent back to the Presidential Palace immediately to report the incident. 

"W-we d-don't know, Chief Secretary. Her teacher came up to us reporting that Lady Soojung is missing. We searched everywhere but she's nowhere to be found." the head security explained.

The Chief Secretary sighed frustratingly. She's scared to know her sister's reaction once she deliver this news to her. 

"Have you checked the CCTV cameras? That school has the best state-of-the art system. Security shouldn't be an issue." Seohyun wondered. 

"We did, Chief Secretary. We saw that Lady Soojung sneaked out from her class. We even checked the CCTVs outside but unfortunately, the CCTVs there are currently being fixed." the head security replied.

"Eotteoke. How can I tell my sister about this." Seohyun said to herself before looking at the guards, sternly. "Don't stop looking for Soojungie. She's just around the area, i'm sure of it. No one will know that she's the President's daughter. I'll take care of the President."

The head security nodded hesitantly. He's definitely thinking that they will be fired once the President knew this. "Y-yes, Chief Secretary. We'll do our best to look for the First Daughter." they bowed and walked away, abruptly.

Seohyun sighed again as she held her head. Good thing her sister is in a series of meetings which keeps her preoccupied. 

Seohyun's musings were put aside when the conference room door opened and the people inside came out one by one. It's a sign that the meeting already ended.

She exhaled before going inside where her sister is currently resting her head by the chair.

Yuri felt someone is approaching, so she opened her eyes and smiled tiredly. Her current meeting just drained out of her. 

"Hey, sis. More meetings left?" the President asked. 

She waited for her sister's response but her sister seems to be anxious.

"Yah, Seohyun-ah. Is there something wrong? What's going on?" Yuri getting anxious as well. She immediately stood up and made her way to her sister. But before she could reach her, Seohyun blurted out,

"Soojung is missing." 

Yuri immediately stopped and asked, "What? What are you talking about?" 

"I got a report from her security team. Soojung is missing, unnie. She sneaked out from her class and walked out." she explained. "Don't worry, unnie. the security are currently-"

"DON'T WORRY?!" Yuri yelled. "MY DAUGHTER IS MISSING AND YOU EXPECT ME TO CALM DOWN?!"

Yuri grabbed her phone and started punching numbers calling someone. Seohyun watched as her sister paced back and forth as she talked to someone on the phone.

"Hello, Mr. Baek. This is President Kwon. I would like you to know that your security team IS ING !I HIRED YOU TO TAKE CARE OF ME AND MY FAMILY BUT LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE?! MY DAUGHTER IS MISSING BECAUSE OF YOUR TEAM'S CARELESSNESS!"

Seohyun is really scared of her sister. This is the second time she seen her sister like this. She doesn't want to get back to that moment that is why she's scared to tell her about this incident.

"GET ME THE BEST OF YOUR TEAM OR I WILL HAVE YOU ALL FIRED!" Yuri exclaimed and put down the phone. 

"Unnie" Seohyun muttered.As if it will calm her sister down. 

Yuri looked at her sister, worried. "Seohyun-ah, i'm scared. I wanna know where Soojung is. I hope she's okay."

Seohyun hugged her sister and said, "I'm sure she's fine, unnie. We're doing everything we can for Soojung. We already blocked the media just to make sure." 

"I'm scared, Seohyun-ah." 

"Don't be, unnie. Soojung is fine. I believe she is. She's a strong girl just like YoonHee." 

 

**

Meanwhile at a cafe nearby...

"Ah, Eomma, why do you at this game?!" Soojung whined.

Yoona squint her eyes at the little girl. "I'm making it easy on you, you know." she said as sat back and crossed her arms on her chest.

"Nah, i think you're a loser." Soojung imitated her.

"Am not!" Yoona argued. 

"You are!" 

The two went on bickering. They've been chilling at the cafe after playing at the arcade. They talked about Soojung's day at school and played Kai Bai Bo where Yoona is always losing. She always at this game even when she's with Sooyoung and Hyoyeon.

They keep on with their banter until the waitress came in with their pastries. They immediately ate it as soon as it was on the table. 

"This is so good, Eomma." Soojung said as she ate her mouthful of chocolate cake.

"Chin-jja" Yoona said with full.

"Ah~! Eomma! Don't talk with your mouth full!" Soojung reprimanded the older girl. 

Yoona smirked at the little girl just to . As she spent time with her, the more she's getting attached to her. 

'Stop with this nonsense, Im Yoona. You have a mission, remember?' Yoona thought. 

She swallowed the remaining piece of cake in and drink her Americano. She watched as the little girl enjoy her portion of cake. She smiled because as if she's seeing herself in the little girl.

"So, Soojungie." Yoona started.

"HHmm?" Soojung replied as she kept her eyes on her cake and ate it happily.

She wanted to ask a question that is bothering her for a while now.

"D-does your Yuri Eomma mad at your eom- me? " She asked. She forgot that she's "Soojung's Eomma".

Soojung looked up with a confusion on her face, "What?"

"Does your Yuri Eomma mad at me? How come you're always with her?" Yoona asked again.

Soojung put down her fork and drank her milkshake before starting. "Yuri Eomma is not mad at you. In fact, she loves you so much." 

Yoona raised her eyebrow. "Loves me?"

'Babo, Yoona! she's not talking about you! she's talking about her real mom!' she said to herself.

"Yeah. I asked Yuri Eomma why we're not always with you. She always say that she's protecting you that's why. She loves you so much that she wants to keep you somewhere where the mightiest person is so he could protect you from bad people. That's how powerful Yuri Eomma is."  Soojung shared.

The little girl thought for awhile and looked at Yoona,

"Don't you remember, Eomma? Sometimes we visit Yuri Eomma and I visit you. Auntie Seo, Uncle Yonghwa, Auntie Jessie, Auntie Fany, Auntie Taengoo and Auntie Sunny come along. We eat, play, sing and dance! It's a very fun day, Eomma!" 

Yoona looked at the little girl. She couldn't help but be amaze at how matured and how happy she is as she tells the story. She's still wondering where YoonHee is and why Yuri keeps her in the dark.

'Is Kwon Yuri protecting not her wife but her image? Is this why she's so private is because she has a relationship with a woman? Korea is still sensitive with this issue. This will affect her Presidency once the public know about this. How about Soojung? Who's her father?' 

Yoona smiled as Soojung continued eating her cake. She really felt bad for using her for her own good. Her career is at stake here. She must have a good story for the public or her career is over. She want to know more about Kwon Yuri and she will not stop until she finds out. 

'Mianhe, Soojung-ah. I will not stop apologising to you.' 

"Eomma!" Soojung's yell took her out of her thoughts.

"Nae, Soojung-ah?" she replied.

"There's a piano here! Let's play the piano!" Soojung pointed at the unused piano at the back of the cafe. 

The little girl pulled her from her chair and they walked towards the piano. Yoona looked for the waitress and called her,

"Excuse me!" 

The waitress smiled at her and walked towards her. "How can I help you, miss?"

"My uhhmm...is it okay to play the piano? She..uuhhmm...my daugther wants to play it." Yoona asked.

"Sure! Actually, we encouraged people to play the piano. Only few people who does this. So, go ahead." the waitress smiled.

"Really? thank you!" Yoona bowed as the waitress bowed in return and went back to the counter to attend to incoming customers.

"C'mon, Eomma! That unnie said we can play!" Soojung said as she went up and sat down at the piano in which Yoona followed. 

"What do you want to play, Eomma?" Soojung asked.

It's been a while since Yoona played piano. Her dad used to play with her when she was young. It stopped when her mom died. 

"I don't know. It's been awhile since i played the piano, Soojung-ah." Yoona said shyly.

"Aaww, but you always played one for me!" Soojung pouted which Yoona couldn't resist. She sighed and smiled at the little girl.

"Alright, Let's see what i can play for you." Yoona said as she thought of the piano piece that her dad used to play for her.

She started pressing the ivories to play "Chopsticks". She looked at the kid beside her and saw how her little doe eyes light up. She continued playing the piece as little Soojung swayed her body. 

As the two girls are enjoying the piece, little did they know, someone is watching them. 

 

**

Back at the Presidential Palace, Yonghwa visited his wife and her sister-in-law upon knowing that his niece is missing. He started calling their friends as well but since they couldn't risk exposing their connection with the President to the public, they keep tabs through phone calls from Yonghwa.

As they were waiting for the news about Soojung, Secretary General Nickhun came in. 

"Ms. President, Chief Secretary and Mr. Jung." Nickhun bowed. "We finally know where Lady Soojung is. She's at the cafe located 5 Kms from her school. We traced her phone and found out that she's in contact to meet someone."

Yuri immediately stood up and said, "Who is this person?" 

"We traced it and its not registered. But based from Soojung's texts, she calls this person, 'Eomma'". Nickhun explained.

Yuri suddenly get her coat and said, "Let's go get my daughter, General Nickhun." 

"Unnie! Let them bring her here. We can't let the public expose Soojung is your daughter, right?" Seohyun tried to be reasonable.

"I don't care anymore. I wanna see my child now, Seohyun-ah. " Yuri said firmly. "Just continue keeping it a secret to the media. Secretary General and I will go incognito as much as we can." 

Seohyun looked at her husband for support since Yonghwa is her sister's bestfriend but he knew her more much so she let his bestfriend be. "Seohyun-ah, Let Yuri see Soojung. We'll take care everything for her." He looked at his sister-in-law. "Take care, Yul. Kiss and hug Soojung-ah for us." 

Yuri nodded. "I will, Yong." She nod towards General Nickhun and they both went their way to fetch Soojung.

 

**

"Play one last song, Eomma." Soojung pouted. "Pretty please, Eomma?" 

Yoona couldn't say with the little girl's aegyo so she gave in. They've been playing the piano for  while now and she's running out of piano piece to play. 

"What will I play, Soojung-ah?" Yoona asked.

"Play that song about childhood, again, Eomma!" Soojung exclaimed.

Yoona started playing a piano piece from Robert Schumman, "Memories from Childhood" for Soojung. This is the piano piece that her dad always play to her when she was young. Yoona thought that the little girl really loves the piano piece. She even said that her Eomma (YoonHee) used to play it to her.

Yoona hate to admit that her and Soojung's real eomma's fondness of the piano piece gives her chills. She immediately want to find where Yuri's wife is. 

As the reporter played the piano piece to the little girl, they didn't know that the President is watching them. They were so caught up in their little world that they missed how the General Nickhun come up to the counter and tell a lie to the cafe owner and the waitress. They come up with a story that Yoona kidnapped a little girl and is a high profile case. He have the two swear their lives not to tell anybody what they witnessed. While the President came from the back of the cafe and looked for her daughter. She heard a familiar piano piece and made her way to follow the sound. 

Once she's near, she saw a familiar figure. A woman and a child playing the piano. It's as if everything came back to her.

 

Flashback:

 

One afternoon in the Kwon household, Yoonhee is playing the piano all by herself. Yuri and baby Soojung came from her afternoon walk when she found her wife playing a very sweet tune. Yuri made her way towards her wife while Soojung is in her arms.

"Hey, Yoonhee-yah." Yuri said softly as she kissed her wife's forehead.

"Oh, i didn't hear you come in." Yoonhee smiled. "Hello, my baby. How's your walk? You saw everyone?" she asked their 8 months old baby, Soojung. The baby just gargled her response to her mom.

"She's well loved by everyone of course!" Yuri boasted. 

"Really?" Yoonhee's doe eyes lit up. "I'm so glad that Soojung is getting all the love. She deserves it." 

Yuri smiled at her wife's interaction with their baby. 

"How about I play a piece for you, Soojung-ah?" Yoonhee said as she get the baby from Yuri and placed her to the high chair. Yuri sat on the couch, watching her wife and daughter. "I learned this song from Auntie Seohyunnie. She said that this piece is perfect for you, Soojungie. She said that this song is like having the epiphany of a memorable childhood. I want you to have that." Then, she looked at Yuri as if talking to her. 

"I want you to have a great memory of your childhood, Soojungie."

 

*End of Flashback*

 

Yuri finally pulled out of her thoughts as Yoona finished the song and little Soojung couldn't help but to clap out loud. She was about to interrupt them when she heard her daughter say,

"I wish you always play this song for me like before, Eomma." 

Her heart immediately hurt upon hearing the sadness on her daughter's voice. She thought that her daughter is okay with their current set up but she didn't know that she's hurting her because her other mom is not with them.

"I...uuh.." Yoona start to stutter, thinking of what to say.

"Soojungie." Yuri voiced out. 

The two girls turned and they were both surprised to see Yuri- especially Yoona. 

'Oh God! The President is here! How did she find out?!' Yoona panicked. 

"P-President!" Yoona stammered as she stood up and bow to the President while Soojung ran towards her mom and hugged her.

Yuri hugged and kissed her baby as if she didn't see her for years. "Thank God you're okay, my love!" she cried.

"Why are you crying, Eomma? I'm always fine. I'm with Eomma. You said that i'm always safe with her, right?" Soojung said. 

Yuri turned towards Yoona who's head hang low before turning back to her daughter. She nodded and smiled at Soojung. "Y-yeah. Uhhmm...Why don't you go to Uncle Nickhun? He'll buy you cookies. I'll just talk with...uuhhmm.. Eomma."

Soojung nodded and ran to where Nickhun is and yelled, "Nickhun Saaammccchooonnn!!!"

Yuri wiped her tears and stood up. She held her head high as she made her way towards the reporter. 

"What do you want, huh?" Yuri said in her menacing voice. "What do you want from me?!" she yelled.

Yoona got scared of the President. The ever calm and collected President Kwon Yuri yelled at her. She immediately regretting why she's doing this in the first place.

"Im Yoona-ssi." Yuri called her in a low, threatening voice. "If you want money, give me the price and i'll give it. Just name your price, i'll grant it. Just don't let Soojung get into this." 

Yoona saw how Yuri faltered as she mentioned her daughter. No matter how strong she shows, she immediately knew that Soojung is her weakness.

"Jebal." The President whispered as if she's pleading. 

Yoona hates how lowly the President thinks of her. Sure that what she's doing is for her career but she wouldn't let them bribe her with money. She's not doing this for the money. It's her career that is at stake here. 

But she's not going to say this to her.

So she held her head up high and  finally got the courage to speak up. "Ms. President." 

"You can give me all the money in the world but i'm not what you think I am. If you think I'm using your child, then you are wrong." 

Yoona was about to falter when Yuri looked at her intensely. She's scared that Yuri might see her lies through her eyes. She kept up with her act and continued,

"Soojung came up to me." She leave the information that she and Soojung are contacting each other. She knew that the President knew this already.  "I knew she misses her mom, Ms. President. By the meaning of mom, its not you." 

The reporter saw how the President waver as if she already know her secret. She's glad that she has the upper hand. 

"Stop with the games, Yoona-ssi and tell me what you want." Yuri said firmly. 

"I'm not the person who wants something, Ms. President. It's me that you want." she replied arrogantly. "Let me be her mom, Ms. President and I'll keep my mouth shut." 

"What do you want out of this, Ms. Im. You're not doing this for nothing." Yuri asked furiously.

Yoona thought that if she's with Soojung, she'll find out who's the President wife and what is going on in Kwon Household. This will be a great scoop for her. 

"I'm doing this for you, President." Yoona smirked viscously. "Soojung will always find a way to find me. You underestimate your child. She's smarter than you think. This will keep her safe if she's with me. I will act as her mother and no one will know she's your child."

Yuri looked at her intensely. As a President, she shouldn't give in easily. But she knows her child. Soojung is smart, dead smart just like her mom, YoonHee. 

"Deal." Yuri finally said. "But I'll have to prepare a contract for this." 

"Whatever you want. Ms. President." Yoona smiled cockily. She's lucky that the ball of fate is in her hands.

I KNOW ITS BEEN A WHILE. BUT HERE IT IS. ACTUALLY,  THIS CHAPTER IS SITTING IN MY LAPTOP FOR MONTHS NOW AND THIS IS THE ONLY TIME THAT I FINISHED IT. CURRENTLY, DOING A SIDE PROJECT AND AMONG OTHER REAL LIFE STUFFS THAT'S WHY I'M QUITE BUSY UPDATING.
