Don't Love Me, You'll Regret It

Description

Jung Yun Hee was a normal 23 year old. Or at least she wishes she was.  She's been hiding a secret for 10 years, a secret that repulses and scares away all the friends she acquired throughout high school.  What happens when she falls in love with someone who everyone considers "out of her league?"  Will he leave her too because of the secret she's been hiding from him for years?

Foreword

"Don't worry, we'll see each other again! I'll come visit you in Korea!"

A blond boy held on tightly to a sobbing girl, her hair gently.

"I don't want to go!" she screamed while ruining his white uniform shirt with her tears.  An impatient man stood beside a black car, tapping his foot.  The blonde boy jerked his head around to glance at the man, then leaned down to wipe the tears from the young girl's face.

"Why? You should go.  Become a singer, and I'll watch you on TV! I want to be able to see you all the way from here," the boy said, trying his best to console his companion.  His attempts were futile, as the girl continued to wail while holding his shirt in a death grip.

"Hannie! They won't let me see you ever again; I just know it!" she whispered as loudly as she could since she was choking on her tears.  The boy sighed softly as the man pointed to his watch, indicating that they had to depart soon.

"Nonsense. I'll come to Korea, just wait," he said softly, while reaching down to cup her chin in his hands.  He her cheek gently, tracing over the markings her hot tears made.

"I don't want to go! Make them let me stay!" she shouted, stomping her feet childishly.  The boy only shook his head and pressed a small object into the palm of her hand.  She looked down to see what it was and rolled her eyes when she saw the familiar packaging in her hand.  "Peppermints? Really? And how is that going to help me stay?!" she screamed at him, tears clouding her vision.

The blonde boy only wiped her tears again.  He pulled her close, wanting to make their last moments as long as possible.  "Be safe going home; if you get nervous on the plane ride then eat the candy, okay?" he whispered, burying his face in her hair to hide the tears that were beginning to form in his eyes.  They had only known each other for a year, yet it had felt like a life time.  How would he live without her?

"Korea isn't my home! My home is with you!" she cried loudly.  The man beside the car coughed, trying to draw their attention.  The blonde boy nodded at the man and then turned back to the sobbing girl.

"I love you. Don't ever forget that," he whispered, before kissing the girl's cheeks tenderly.  She only cried harder, clinging to his shirt.

"I love you too! Don't make me go!" she whimpered, hugging the boy tightly.  At this point, the man beside the car was fed up.  He moved over to the pair, and held onto the girl's arm.

"It's time to go. Your mother is waiting in the car," he said sternly, keeping a firm grip on her arm.  The blonde boy leaned forward to peck the girl's forehead one last time as he carefully untangled her arms from around his waist.  He gently led her towards the man, and waved while trying to smile.

"Let go of me! I don't want to go!" she screamed as the man pulled her into the backseat of the car by force.  He shut the door loudly, but screaming could still be heard coming from the inside of the car.

The blonde boy bit his lip, hoping he had made the right decision.  "I love you, Yun Hee.  I really do," he whispered to himself, as he watched the black car drive off into the distance.  He could hear the girl's screams, and had the urge to chase after the car, but realized that it would be useless now.  "I'll come for you," he murmured as his vision faded to black.

"Luhan! Breakfast is ready!" a voice shouted from the kitchen.

Luhan sat up straight on his bed, wiping sweat from his forehead.  A shorter man with dark hair walked into his room, immediately looking concerned as he saw the mess soaked with sweat that was Luhan's bed.  "Another nightmare, huh?" he said while shuffling towards the blonde boy.

Luhan nodded slowly, sipping a glass of water that was placed on his bedside table.  "Yeah, Joonmyeon hyung.  The same one," he mumbled as the man began to clean up the various belongings that were strewn on the floor.

"Well, if you ever need anyone to talk to, I'm here!" Suho smiled brightly, ruffling the blonde's hair.  "Everyone's in the dining room, so hurry up and get dressed before Chanyeol eats all the breakfast!" he said cheerfully, standing up to join the others at the table.

Luhan sighed and laid back down on his bed.  He pulled the covers over his face and groaned.  "The things I do for you, my little angel."
