Sandara and Seung hyun had started dating in that natural awkwardness of her asking him out for Valentine’s day. She had marched up to him, outside the school’s basketball gym, like a weird wind-up doll missing joints of her knees and elbows. It was very weird. She knew it was weird, but her two-year crush has already reached the brim, and she was tired of her heart going kyuuuu~ for this person without doing anything, so she let her courage stiffen her joints, constrict until she choked out a very painful, “Go out with me, please.”

She stares at him, his mouth slightly hanging agape. Seung hyun had always looked exceptionally handsome to her, and of course, to others, which was why she needed to ask him to be her Valentine, this instance of September, at the beginning of the term, regardless of the long four-month notice. So he stood there, towering over her, all handsome and stiff. She appreciates his sweat, dampness tousling his hair,  trailing along his sideburns, covering his forehead in a beautiful sheen. Her heart goes kyuuu~ on her again. She was clearly, clearly obsessed with him, and she was weird too, and there is no way he’d say…

“Yes!” He chokes out. Sandara notices flush on his cheeks as he clears his throat abruptly and looks away. “Yes.” He repeats and Sandara’s heart goes kyuuuu~ and she was exceptionally happy.

After that night, they were officially dating. At least the school knew they were dating, more because both parties said so than because they were seen together. Seung hyun told his buddies, Sandara told her best friends and the news was wild fire, the speculations on everybody’s lips.

“Aw. They’d make a cute couple!,”

“That stole my Tabi!”

“God, why Sandara, why couldn’t you wait for me?”

Seung hyun and Sandara is a couple complete with other people’s blessing and curses, but after a week of the absence of seeing the two together the speculations becomes whispers of doubt. Maybe they heard wrong? Misinformation? Bad rumours?

But when asked directly:

Dara would flush red and shyly say, “Yes, um. Yes! I am dating, Seung hyun-shii.”

and the other party confirms,

“Yes. I am seeing Sandar
