“Kyu-yah. Listen to me. First of all, I was the one that told Kibum that _____ was my girlfriend because I couldn’t stand the way he asked her. Second, she was the one that followed me so DON’T yell at her. And third, Kibum won’t find out that that was a lie, so it’s okay.” Eunhyuk explained.

“How are you so sure that he wont find out that that was a lie?” Kyuhyun questioned.

“Because I’m going to make it official.” Eunhyuk said.

My eyes widened when I heard what Eunhyuk had said.

“Bwoh!?” Kyuhyun exclaimed.

“_____, will you go out with me? Will you be my girlfriend? I sincerely like you & think that you’re the one for me. Can you please give us a chance even though I know you might not like me like the way I like you… please, all I’m asking for is a chance.” Eunhyuk asked.

“I… I…” I couldn’t bring myself to answer him.

Although I did have a bit of feelings for Eunhyuk, my feelings for Donghae were greater.

“Eh, hyung. I think you’ll have to give her some time to think about it… especially because you came out of no where asking.” Kyuhyun said.

Thank god for Kyu. If it wasn’t for him, I don’t know what I’d do. But… I was ready to answer Eunhyuk.

Seeing that maknae had gone out for a long time looking for _____, Donghae couldn’t help but go out too, as he was just as excited to see _____, if not, more.

He saw that _____ had came with Hyuk & that maknae had already found them.

But he was confused when he saw all three of them just standing there, talking & not walking in.

And so, he decided to walk to them.

But when he heard what he didn’t want to hear… he stopped dead in his tracks.

‘Bwoh? Did Hyuk just ask _____ out…? What…’

I couldn’t help but feel hurt, pain. It felt like someone pushed me flat on the ground & drove over me.

But what I also felt was disappointment… in myself. I knew I loved _____. But I never brought myself to ask her out… like Hyuk did. & now, I lost my chance.

I was afraid of _____’s answer… afraid that she’d say yes… afraid that she loved him back the way he did.

And when maknae answered for _____, I felt a bit more relaxed. Would this mean that I could have a chance to show _____ my feelings too?

When Kyu answered for me, I saw sadness rush through Eunhyuk… I could see it in his eyes.

“Hyung, _____. Let’s go in. Everyone must be waiting.” Kyuhyun said.

Just as Kyu was about to turn around & walk, I said, “Wait…”

Confusion was visible on both Kyu & Hyuk’s face.

“Oppa… yes.”

Immediately, Hyuk’s face it up & his gummy smile showed.

“Yes!?” Eunhyuk exclaimed, checking to make sure he wasn’t hearing things.

“Yes, oppa. I will give us a chance.”

Kyu looked at me, not knowing what I was doing.

I guess this was better for me… maybe that tiny bit of feeling for Eunhyuk can become greater than my feelings for Donghae. Maybe, just maybe, Eunhyuk could help me get over my feelings for Donghae.

The moment I heard Kyu say that they should go back in, I immediately turned around, getting ready to go back in so they wouldn’t know I heard them all along.

But the moment I heard _____ say wait, I stopped & turned back around, looking at them once more.

And when _____ said yes… yes to going out with Eunhyuk... yes to giving him a chance… yes to being his girlfriend… my heart broke. It had shattered into a billion pieces.

I looked at _____, not being able to understand what was going through her mind.

Why would she say yes to hyung if she clearly knew it was Donghae hyung that she loved…?

Even though I’m her best friend… I can’t seem to understand why she did this.

Eunhyuk hyung became extremely happy… so happy that his gummy smile was showing.

_____ smiled too… but I could tell that she was forcing it. She wasn’t truly happy… she couldn’t be.

Eunhyuk hyung put his arm around _____’s shoulders & turned around & started walking.

I did the same, following after them, behind _____.

But suddenly stopped when we saw who was standing there…

“Donghae hyung!” I exclaimed.
