“Dork” Jungshin mumbled, rolling his eyes

“Palli! We’re late! Do I look good? Is my breath smells good? Jungshin-ah! Smell it haaaaaaaaaa”

“YAH!!!”  he whack Minhyuk’s head

“YOU!!! DISGUSTING!!” Jungshin said, preparing to punch him

“Enough. Let’s go in” said Yonghwa in a bored voice

As they entered the hall, they were welcomed by the quiet atmosphere. It was dark inside, the only light was at the stage, with an empty high chair at the center, microphone in front of it, waiting for the singer to come up the stage.

“Ladies and Gentleman, now I present you, Ms. Seo Joo Hyun! With her self-composed hit song titled “Sweetest Mistake” ” loud claps echoed around the hall, making them clap together with the waiting crowd. A waitress ushered them to an empty table just beside the stage.  

He scoffed at the irony of the title of the song.

Sweetest mistake huh? Yes it’s sweet but it’s not a mistake

Suddenly the sweet melody reverberated around the hall, with the plucking of guitar as the intro, followed by a sweet angelic voice.

“There she goes” said Minhyuk as he sighed dreamily, looking at the lady holding a white acoustic guitar at the stage

Yonghwa’s POV

He’s about to sip his wine when he heard the sweet voice that struck his heart hard. His heart began to beat rapidly, his gaze focused on his goblet, he froze.

I woke up this morning
With my head up the clouds

He continued to listen to the song, gaze still fixated at his drink

Just a few yards away

He sighed, did she do it?

He felt something wet hit his face, only to find out that he’s already crying unconciously.

Slowly, his gaze shifted at the lady who’s singing with her eyes close, tears glistening down at both sides of her face. Just when her eyes opened, it clashed directly into him. He felt his heart stopped beating, as they both stared at each other’s eyes. He saw her closed her eyes again, tightly, as if she’s been having a battle inside her, thinking if what she saw is real or just pure imagination.

He saw her shifted her gaze around the audiences. Avoiding his spot.

Her voice shook, as if controlling her emotions, she then closed her eyes once again, focusing on the song, praying hard not to make mistakes.

I woke up this morning

The song ended and yet they remain looking at each other’s eyes. Drifting to their own world. Her eyes was questioning him, mixed with sadness and pain, mirroring his. Just when he saw her stood up from her seat, he shot up of his own seat and rushed at the backstage, ignoring the boys that are calling him continuously.

Some guards blocked his way but stopped when he threw them his deadliest glare, together with saying his name, that surely no one will ignore.

“Where’s her room?” he said, his voice booming with authority

The guard pointed at the room beside them. He thanked them and walked towards the door, his heart racing wildly.

He calmed his heart before knocking at the door.

“Come in!” said an angelic voice that’s undoubtly hers

His heart stopped beating once again, as their gaze collided, he stood frozen on his spot, his mind went blank, he got tongue-tied. She was mirroring his expression, she can’t move either.

Seohyun POV

She wants to pinch herself, is she imaging things again? Surely she clearly heard his voice right? She heard the door opened right?

“Angel” she heard him whispered weakly, he’s coming closer

“Don’t” she whispered back but he won’t stop from walking “Don’t come near me!” her voice trembled

“Angel. Listen to me” he tried to reach out but she stepped backward, making his hand fall back to his side.

“Everything you heard is pure lie” he started

“Stop! I’m over it!” she answered angrily “Please get out of here”

“Angel”

“Don’t call me that!”

“Please, please listen to me. I’ve been wanting to see you. I’ve searced for you everywhere, heck! I even did all the possible things I can do just to find you but I didn’t get your name, I’m such a fool not to ask for your name first”

“Yeah, you’re a fool, a jerk for not asking my name yet you slept with me.”

“Angel, believe me. Everything that happened to us was-“

“Pure ” she cut him midway, looking at him with pure hate and disgust written all over her face

“No angel. No. We made love” his voice trailed as pain engulfed his heart

“Leave me alone.” She said coldly

“You’re the only girl that time, heck, you’re the only girl I’m with. What that person told you is not true, all she said was pure lie. Please believe me Angel”

“I said get out. I don’t want to hear it anymore. Please don’t remind me about my stupidity.”

“It was your sweetest mistake, you said that” his voice are getting weaker, tears started to fall at both sides of his face

“It was my song, not my story.”

“It was our story”

“If ever it was, I already said GOODBYE at the end.”

“but I won’t let you. I won’t let go of you.”

“But I’m not yours to start with”

“Angel, I love you”

She scoffed and rolled her eyes at him “You love me?! We just met once! And you said you love me?! Do you think I’ll believe you? Or you still see me as an easy to get person that with just a snap of your fingers I’ll succumb to you again?”

“Never did I think of you that way!”

“You’re just adding up lies!! Nothing but lies!! Stop it now! Please” she pleaded, she covered both her ears with her hands, closing her eyes shut as the tears she’s been controlling not to fall failed her. Tears cascaded down on both sides of her face.

“Angel” she froze, she can feel his breath at her neck and the next thing she felt, the coldness she’s feeling awhile ago turned into wamrthness, as he enveloped her with his arms, hugging her tight, his face buried at her neck.

“Please don’t leave me again” he pleaded “Please Angel please.” He sobbed

“Please, let go off me” she pleaded back “don’t make me blame myself more” she felt him release her for a bit, he looked at her straight in the eyes

“Why are you blaming yourself?” the way he looks at her makes her want to come back in his arms, to bury her face in his warm chest, to feel his warm embrace again, but she restrained herself. Don’t make the same mistake again Seo Joo Hyun!

“because I’ve been an easy to get person. I gave myself to a stranger”

“I swear, it didn’t came in my mind that you’re an easy to get woman. We both succumb in our feelings! I know you felt it too! Here” he pointed his chest where his heart is “this made me realize my feelings for you. I loved you the first time I laid my eyes on you. Please believe me” he hugged her again

“Let’s stop this.” She struggled but he tightened his hold more

“I won’t let you run away from me again. Never” he said stubbornly, voice full of determination

She badly want to surrender, she loves him too. But she’s still doubting everything, it just felt so surreal.

“Seo Joo Hyun! We need to go to your next appoinment now!” she heard her manager shouted outside

“Coming!” she walked past him but he grabbed her arms and spun her around

“We’re not yet done” he said coldly

“We are. I don’t love you. So stop this nonsense and move on with your life” she slapped his hands and ran out of the room, wiping the fresh tears that fall just when the door closes.
