I woke up because of the bright sun that rested on my face. I lazily got up and opened the door to my room and smiled

"I'm awake!" I announced to my family but the only response I recieved was the sound of birds chirping outisde and my face fell as I already forgot that my I sent my family to heaven last Saturday. With a discouraged heart, I trudged towards the bathroom and started to get ready for school. Before heading out, I stood in front of a mirror next to the shoe rack and showed the best smile I could, because this was the fake smile I would have to wear until I was completely over my pain

I walked out to be greeted by another day of happiness that was pushed onto me and I decided it was the best thing to do, I couldn't live in tears for the rest of my life.

"Mirae-yah!" I heard someone call and I looked ahead to see my girls running towards me at the speed of light as they all tackled me with a hug at the same time

"Ready?" Jemie asked and I nodded eagerly, leaving us to all chuckle. We all linked arms with me in the middle and Jemie to my left and Kara on my right. We started to walk to school like none of it happened, like my family never really died. Some people would find it upsetting if their friends reacted that way but I was merely grateful, because they knew it was a touchy subject and they were willing to wait for me to open up my wounds to them and be vulnerable with them. I was thankful that we could talk about anything else without them trying to push me to open up to them on how I felt about my family's death.

We entered the school grounds and with an anxious heart, I started to greet people. I really didn't want people to start treating me differently because of my loss, I especially hated how people looked at me with such pitiful eyes and that's all they would ever do, but thankfully everyone welcomed me with a smile, much to my relief.

It was still quite early because we had 20 minutes until the first period started so my girls and I rested in the classroom as we started to talk about the performances from Gayo Daejun and how disappointing it was.

Suddenly Tao and his group entered the classroom, causing yet another unneccessary scene as he slammed open the door. He smirked once his eyes landed on me and I could almost hear his taunting laughter

"So, I heard your family died," he said bluntly and I heard Jemie stand up from her seat, ready to pounce on this douche. But I stood seated and only admired the bracelet around Anna's wrist and I looked up at him with a smile

"What does that have anything to do with you?" I asked him calmly as I knew that getting riled up in a fight with him wouldn't be the best idea, considering he knows how to fight

"I just find it funny," he pointed out ," but I just can't help but imagine your parents screaming your name when their car crashed or how your brother were crying, banging on the window screaming to let them out when the car was burning in flames," and I clenched my fist as I started to picture that exact scene happen

"Shut your mouth," Kara warned as the quietest and the most patient one out of us started to lose her temper

"Now, why should I? I mean payback is a , so they say," Tao teased and I smiled as I realized what he was doing. He wanted me to take back my statement about him not having parents and it was easy for him to be courageous about it now because I lost my parents.

"How pathetic," I mouthed bodly and he stared down at me and I turned around the girls with a smile, letting them know that this is a fight that I'm not going to lose

"You approach me now about my family because you were upset about me talking about you not having parents," I pointed out and I saw him flinch a little but that was enough to know that I was going to win

"But you know what, at least I got to spend time with my family for 17 years. My parents loved and adored me for those 17 years, but what about you? Oh right, you were living in a house with no one that loved you," I mocked. The satisfaction of knowing that I was able to demolish this kid once and for all, blinded me. Tao glared at me once before walking out of the classroom, but who knew that that would have been the last time I would've seen him

"Nice work," Luhan complimented as he passed by, giving me a quick high-five on the way to his seat. Kris gave us a wink in acknowledgment, D.O waved, Lay smiled and Kai just gave me a smirk.

"What the hell?" Alice murmured before turning her attention towards the front because the teacher entered

"Please open up your textbooks to page 253..." the teacher started and for the remaining school day, it was relaxing and nothing really happened.
