"Han Mirae!" my mom yelled from downstairs, a signal for telling me to wake up but I was already in the bathroom, sitting on the toilet seat, eyes closed with a toothbrush in my mouth as I brushed my teeth lazily 

"Han Mirae!" my mom yelled again except this time, my door was open with my mom's leg halfway in the air, evident that she kicked the door in anger. I could almost see the invisible steam start to disappear and transform into a blush when she saw that I was already awake and getting ready. She quietly left my room, leaving me to do my thing 

Once I finished getting ready, I dragged myself back into my room, which the bathroom was in my room so it shouldn't have taken so much effort,but it did. I wore my black and green striped skirt that came to knee length, my white button-up that stopped at my waist and my navy blazer to compliment the ugly uniform. I grabbed a hair tie and tied my hair up as I couldn't stand leaving my hair down in the still-summer hot weather. I grabbed my backpack before closing my room and heading downstairs with light steps 

"Good morning," I greeted, earning a groan from my two younger brothers and I chuckled at their  resistance to Monday mornings, especially since school is starting again

I sat down at the center of the table with my brothers on both sides of me. I started to eat the delicious Korean meal my mom prepared for me while I was reading the last few lines of 'Paradise Lost', as it was a reading I needed to complete for summer reading 

"You guys need to head out or else you'll be late," my mom yelled from her room as she was getting ready to leave for work as well. The 3 of us left the house and I got in the driver seat and started the engine while I waited for my brothers to get in the car 

The Han trio talked nonstop until we reached our destination, Seoul Elite. My brothers ran out the car to their friends without looking back at me once

"MEET ME HERE WHEN YOU'RE OUT OF CLASS!" I yelled and both of them turned around and waved

"Mirae-yah," I heard someone call and I felt my world stop when I saw someone familiar running towards me with a smile, Kara, Park Kara, my best friend. I suddenly started to get dizzy and was about to lose focus but Kara greeted me like she didn't see that I was in pain. I shook my head in hopes of getting rid of the headache and chest pain, and thankfully it did 

"What's up!" she greeted and I smiled,
