Chapter 12

• 2013:

it's been two weeks since joongki and chaewon stopped
keeping in touch with each other.
unlike before, they often do mail and text like
some of their friends...

but now, joongki feels lonesome and empty after the incident at the reunion...
he's living his life with the same routine again...
nothing special, just working, shooting cfs, doing interviews, taking a look for roles, ect.

one day, joongki had no schedule and is staying at his condo...

"joongki ah, it's your free day, right? nolja!" (let's play!)
jaejoong told joongki through the phone

"odi?" (where?)
joongki asked him with uninterested tone

"odi deunji! (anywhere) and yah! moksori waegurae?
(what's with your voice?) you sound so down...
is there something wrong?"
jaejoong asked curiously

"nothing...kurae...let's play..."
joongki said

suddenly joongki got a message from junggook forwarded by kwangsoo...

"uri jjoongie yah! (his nickname to him is jjoong)
ne dongsaeng jisung-ii...invited you to join 'park jisung friends' in asian cup as the actor player representative!!"

jungook is gwangsoo and joongki's close hyung, they became friends because they go to the same gym...

joongki's eyes widened and jumped up in joy when he read his mail!!!

"i won't let this opportunity pass!"
he said eagerly to himself

"chaewon ah anyeong~~"
geunyeong and hyojoo greeted her happily when she showed up at the cafe...

"ye dura... can't we hangout somewhere else?
the smell is suffocating...."
chaewon asked them while she put her hand on her nose...

"aigoo.... you really didn't change at all! you still can't stand the smell of the coffee?"
hyojoo asked

"let's go shopping instead...palli!" (hurry)
chaewon said

"why shopping all of a sudden?"
geunyeong wondered

"i'm going to singapore next week for a seminar...
i need to buy stuffs i'll bring.."
chaewon said

"kurae? too bad we're busy with our job...
but we'll help you go shopping!!"
hyojoo said excitedly

while they're walking their way out geunyeong asked her

"is it not because of joongki?"

"ani! aniya...." (no! not at all)
chaewon denied

"keundae chaewon ah, whom will you go with?"
hyojoo asked

"i will go with a sunbae..."
she answered

"a guy? or a girl?"
hyojoo doubted

"she's a girl....her name is yejin sunbae..."
chaewon said smiling

"i thought you already found someone else.."
geunyeong said jokingly

"mwo? i decided not to mind love relationships for now...
it's just a headache..."
chaewon said

"and a heartache! i know what you feel.."

joongki said excitedly without even bothering what
jaejoong will say...

"i'll call out gwangsoo, too"
he added

"aras..seo..."
jaejoong said

jaejoong wondered why his mood brightened suddenly...

joongki got changed with a simple casual wear...
though he's just simple when it comes to fashion
and not a showy type of an actor in real life,
he still wanted to buy his things for the event in a branch of a shop which only celebrities go to, for privacy...

he felt uneasy when gwangsoo said they'll meet at
U. mall....

"joongki ah let's go buy your shoes at outlet or abc-mart!"
gwangsoo said

"yah! micheonya? (are you crazy?) am i a common person like you?!
you know i can't go to crowded places, imomcheongeun jashigiya!"
joongki said

"just dressed simply then...you always nag too much...
are you my real friend?"
gwangsoo said

"arasso! don't be late or i'll kick your flat "
joongki threatened him

"mworago?! (what?!) mal do andwae yah! (unbelievable)
it's not flat!!"
kwangsoo complained

"let's meet in an hour then we'll head to the field where jaejoong reserved..."
joongki said

"arasso but what do you think i should look for today?
should i wear..."

"niga araseohae! keuno." (you take care of it...hangin up)
joongki said before gwangsoo could finish talking...

"andwae neundae..ahh...." (this can't be ahh)
joongki told himself

"joongki ah did you heard the news? you were chosen
by park seonsu himself (seonsu = player)
are you going to accept the offer?"
his manager called him through a video call...

"ne hyung....YES yah!!"
joongki said

"roger...shiwo...if you'll go outside don't get caught!"
he reminded him

"ye...."
joongki said

joongki went to the mall with his car...
and arrived at the place where they promised to meet,
but gwangsoo is nowhere to be seen...

"ajusshi...can't you go faster?"
gwangsoo told the taxi driver

"i'm going to meet with someone!!!"
he added

"seonnim, can't you see what's in front of us?
it's a heavy traffic! please calm down..."
the driver said

"ajusshi palli jom!!!"
gwangsoo demanded again

"would you like me to drop you off here then?"
he asked him

"mworago yo? are we in a drama? why would i go down in this cold weather?
i'll just kill myself in cold.."
gwangsoo said

"it's because you're insisting us to go faster since before!"

joongki felt annoyed when gwangsoo didn't show up...
instead of calling him he just went to the sport shop
by himself and look for some football shoes...

"(i have to be careful....someone might hear my voice
if i call gwangsoo right now... i'll definitely flare up and
use high voice talking to him...it's better to let him be...)"
he thought

he headed to the sportswear shop's direction...
until he got a message from gwangsoo

"chingu ya...i might be late for a few minutes...
the traffic is not a joke here!!! -crying face-"

joongki could only say "aishh"

meanwhile chaewon and her friends are walking with
some coffee in their hands except for her…

"yahh hyojoo ya.. the glasses suits you..."
a single glasses can hide your identity...is it the trend?
it's so big!"
geunyeong said

"maybe? i don't have anything to hide though...
reporters don't need to hide"
hyojoo said confidently

"is that the famous moon chae won?
that artist appeared in the news several times?"
some people in their 20s chattering

"yah look~ she's with reporter han! that famous reporter"
they continued

"yokshi, (as expected) pretty girls stick with each other..."

"the three chuckled hearing them..."

"joongki aniya?!"
