Signing
My Name Is Kim HeechulWhen Heechul was seven years old, he came home from school one day and asked his sister to take him to the library.
He said he wanted books on sign language.
"Why?" Heejin asked.
"There's a deaf boy in my class, he's new and I want to befriend him," Heechul replied.
When Heechul was seventeen, he ran into his house, pulling Hangeng along with him.
Heejin looked up from the kitchen bench and Heechul grinned at her.
"He's only coming for dinner!" he protested at her knowing smirk. "He's my best friend you gotta let him try that apple crumble you make noona, come on he's so good to me he deserves thanks."
Heechul laughed and dragged Hangeng up to his room.
When Heechul was twenty-seven, he accepted the take-away Heejin handed him and put it in his new fridge.
"You sure you need to move out? I don't mind sharing a room," she said.
"Noona Hannie and I are grown-ups now it's time to move on," Heechul replied. "Besides, tonight is the night I tell him I love him. Wish me luck."
When Heechul was thiry-seven, Heejin watched him with tears in her eyes as Heechul signed the words 'I Do' at the alter, and leaned in to kiss Hangeng.
