Kyu got to his house, his priority was straight on to his bedroom, and he took a bottle of whiskey as well on his way. He rummage on the locked drawer he had, he pulled out a photo album. It tore him little by little to see their photos again; it felt like he regretted letting him walk away from him like that

                                                               

He cried hard as he drank the bottle of liquor, he hated himself after that day. He didn’t want them to part ways, he was still in love with him and he truly did his best to make him believe that he didn’t had anyone aside from him, he never thought everything would lead to such thing

 

“Donghae… I want… to see you again…” he caressed a solo photo of him “I want to… hear you voice… I want to touch your face… I want to lie down and… be with you again” he felt ever so desperate but deep inside he knows there’s only a small chance that Hae would come back to him

 

“I still need you to be beside me… to comfort me… to listen to my complaints… to get me through this damn pain I’ve lived with ever since you left me” he cried out without restraint. He poured every ounce of pain but it would never subside as long as it didn’t meant having Hae alongside him

 

Little by little he drifted to sleep; he minded only the pain to disappear even just for a moment. The next morning, he woke up and saw the photo album gone in his arms. He panicked and ran around the room to look for where it was, he didn’t know what to do if he had lost those precious memories. He got outside of his room and was stunned to see Sungmin at the living room; he seemed to be busy looking at something. He walked towards him and saw his valuable memento

 

“What the hell are you doing with that!” he yelled and took it from him

 

“You don’t dare touch this, don’t you even dare look at this!” Min was silent but he turned to face him

 

“I guess it’s so valuable for you since I heard you rummage your whole room, you both held such wonderful memories there… I wish I held one for myself with you, but, let’s just face it… I could never be good enough for you, nor would I ever be” he began to tear up

 

Kyu felt guilty though, he turned his face around; he didn’t want to see him like that “He meant everything to you, but you mean everything for me… would you take a second thought and… consider me rather than him? He already left for so long, but, I’m here to stay alongside you… I wouldn’t~” the phone suddenly rang

 

There was a moment of silence and only the phone ring was breaking the silence, “You should answer that” Min suggested

 

Kyu placed the photo album at the side of the phone and answered it, “Sorry to disturb you sir, but if it was alright, the president of the Lau and Beijing corps would like to start the meeting early with you” his secretary noted

 

“Sure… when will I be needed” he felt a rush in his heart

 

“If it was alright with you, they requested it for be 2 in the afternoon. They said that they have something to take care of all of a sudden so that’s why they requested an earlier proposal” Kyu nodded

 

“Tell them I’ll be there; arrange everything here on out then. Cancel those schedules that was supposed to be on today but re-schedule them tomorrow” he thought out quickly

 

“Certainly sir, I’ll tell them right away” she then hung up

 

Min then stood up, “I guess you’ll be gone the whole day, I better leave~” Kyu held his arm

 

Min didn’t bother to look at him “Don’t be so hopeless, you can… always find someone worthy than me” the words made him tear up and felt Kyu’s hand loosen and let him go

 

Kyu made his way to the bed room and locked the album where it belongs, he got himself ready at the showers and when he got inside he heard the front door close. He paused a second as he heard it, he felt bad about being cruel with Sungmin but it’s the only way to make him stop

 

It was 10mins then before the meeting time, he got to the restaurant first, he waited with such anticipation. His heart going wildly, and to his expectations on laying his eyes on Hae, it made him worry on what they could react to each other once they meet. He was looking from time to time on who may enter from the entrance

 

For about 8mins someone came with an assistant along with him, he suspected it was Henry but he was more eager to see where Donghae was. “Sir, here comes President Lau and Beijing’s representative, Mr Zang” it crushed Kyu to hear that it wasn’t Donghae that he’ll see

 

Henry waved at him like they were friends, “Hello there Mr Cho, I’m Henry Lau of Lau Corp, and as a representative since my co-partner Donghae isn’t here, Mr Zang, he really had to finish a few more errand for the his company so, that left us both and his trusted assistant. Don’t worry my presence and his are same. If you manage to satisfy me and Mr Zang we would consider this expansion to be sealed” he smiled widely

 

Kyu did stood once Henry arrived, he nodded in response, “Of course, it’s totally understandable. Please take a seat” he offered

 

“Thank you, by the way… sorry for making this meeting quite earlier as expected. I know you’re a busy man but I too really have an errand after this” he nodded once more but inside his mind he was truly thinking about Donghae

 

“Well… I don’t want to waste anymore of your valuable time, I’ll be starting off then” Henry and the assistant agreed

 

For about an hour, he explained the whole details of their proposal, the location, the cost and the whole benefit of it if their corps were to join in. They were both impressed as he was able to make them consider it worth taking into action. Henry on the other hand was far more than just impressed he was certain that he’ll accept the proposal for his end

 

“That was splendid indeed; you’ve given such wonderful thoughts into this. I know in my part I’ll accept this but, being just the sister company of my co-partner, he truly has a say in this but I could also see that Mr Zang was also captivated by this fine offer you made” the assistant nodded to agree

 

“Thank you, I’m flattered to hear that from you” they made a hand shake as they finished

 

“We’ll be contacting your assistant to confirm the contract; I’ll also be discussing this matter with Donghae once we arrive at the hotel we’re staying. He would be very excited about this offer” Kyu smiled at him

 

“We will eagerly wait for that confirmation from both of you” he bowed as a farewell, but then Henry turned as he has something more to say

 

Kyu wondered, “By the way Mr Cho, since my co-partner Donghae wasn’t here. I want to make up for that” he said

 

Kyu smiled and shook his head, “That’s nothing, just like I said, I fully understand his absence for today, so there’s no need to bother him” Henry shook his head

 

“No… you made a wonderful offer there so as a little thank you, I’d like to arrange a dinner meeting with you but no talk about business just things about our own lives and such, I’ll make sure Donghae is there too to make up” he was about to firmly decline but when he heard Donghae was tagging along he didn’t had the tongue to say no

 

“Alright, please just inform my assistant about the time and place. Thank you” he bowed

 

“It’s nothing, well, we better be off now” he waved goodbye and left the restaurant

 

In his heart once again, it beats wildly, it a chance once again to see him. Even if it would crush him once more if Hae weren’t present he could gladly take the chance, he wanted to see him so badly. That’s all he had hoped for

 

When Henry got inside the car, he immediately called Donghae. “Yeah, how did the meeting go?”

 

Henry sighed, “It was great but if it weren’t I’d be bored to death, I really wished you were along with me” he whined

 

“I’m really sorry Henry, I promise I’ll make it up to you” he answered in a sweet way

 

“Good, because I have plans this coming Sunday, I want a date with you here at the city, let’s have a peaceful moment” he heard Hae’s breath at the phone, he knows he was smiling

 

“Sure, just like you said” he heard Henry react with glee

 

“I’ll be on my way back then” he noted

 

“Have a safe drive” he added

 

“Will do, I love you” he sweetly said

 

“I love you too” they then hung up

 

But at the end of their talk Hae frowned, deep inside himself he knows he wasn’t ready to see Kyu, not now, not ever. He was certain that if he’d see him, Hae might decide not to let him go anymore and he’s afraid of hurting Henry since he had been there for him for so long. He never faltered to help him up on his weakest

 

“I don’t want to see you again Kyu… I don’t ever want to… because I know I can’t hold back once your there again… I really can’t” he felt himself tremble in fear

 

 

Within his heart dwelled his expectations, he was curious on see how Kyu was. He wanted to know if what had happened between them affected him or not, he also wondered if Kyu was also expecting to see him at that meeting. Deep inside he still wants to see if he still loves him, because almost all of him is willing to have him back in his life

 

 

For about an hour Henry then got to their hotel, Henry quietly entered the room. He saw Donghae drinking a bit of wine in front of the window; he looked at him as saw he was indulged at the scenery. He made still steps towards him, Hae saw his reflection from the window and smiled “You’re sneaking up on me?” he said which startled Henry’s approach

 

“You’re no fun…” he kid and crossed his arms, “Were you lonely while I was gone?” he sat beside him at the arm of the chair

 

“I was lonesome, it was very quiet here” he rested his head on Henry’s side

 

“So that means that I’m the noise here?” he raised a brow and looked at him

 

“You’re the one that fills this place with someone that cares for me that’s for sure” it made Henry chuckled

 

“Whatever… so about our little date this Sunday, I was thinking of having it at a restaurant that I seemed to like the ambiance. It’s a steak house, I was wondering if it has good T-bone steaks there” he wrapped his arm around Hae

 

“I’m fine with that, I haven’t had some steak for quite a while” Henry smiled at his answer

 

“Good… I thought you’d suggest another place, you always have a say on where to eat” he rested his head on top of Hae’s

 

“I have my choosey taste once in a while, then again. I did promise this date is for you, you did help with going along with the meeting. Thanks again by the way” they stared at the sunset from the window

 

“It’s nothing, but I’m wondering… you really don’t have an emergency with the company. Why miss the important proposal?” he wondered

 

It took Hae a minute to think of a good answer, “Let’s just say, it’s better off like that… I really don’t like hearing proposals for expansions and stuff. It’s really not my kind of liking, besides if you didn’t accepted it I would really let Mr Zang go alone there” he gave his excuse

 

“Well… it’s already there; you would really appreciate how good that Mr Cho is with his words. He’s quite a businessman to be honest; he made me get hooked up with his brilliant offer. He showed how well thought up the expansion was from the materials and the cost and lastly the gross from the expansion” Hae smiled

 

“Yeah, he has a way with words” he unconsciously said

 

Henry got puzzled with what he said, “Have you ever talked to him before?” he looked at him straight in the eyes

 

Hae snapped at his question “N-No… I-I haven’t talked to him nor seen him before, but I heard he’s great with his words. He knows how to make investors bite his bait” Henry slowly nodded in compliance

 

“Okay, well then… I’m rather beat to be honest, it felt like a long flight on our way here and~” he felt Hae embrace him

 

“You should rest, you’ve done wonderful today. I’ll catch up once I feel sleepy as well” it made Henry bring out a smile in his face

 

“I love you Hae… you know that I’ll do anything for you, even if it tires me” he hugged back

 

“I know and I’m thankful to have you love me ever so faithfully” he felt great to heard those words from him

 

“Get some sleep and we’ll have a stroll tomorrow at the mall, I want to buy something for us here as souvenirs” he felt Henry giggled

 

“Wow, it’s the first time I’ve heard you asked to go shopping… then again it’s better off not rubbing it in because I wouldn’t want you backing out… alright, don’t stay up late alright” he then stood up and gave him a kiss

 

He left Donghae at his chair, “You gave so much to me without asking anything in return, only… my love and attention is what you always desire. You very giving… thank you” he never really had the heart to use someone like him, Henry was kind and understanding. Hurting him meant being cruel to someone who had full faith in him

 

“Kyu… maybe we’ll meet at the afterlife or so, because I don’t think… we’re destined to see each other anymore” he hoped so much that it would happen

 

That’s what he thought though, within the chances of seeing one another. It would never falter once destiny dictates what will truly happen, he should also be aware that each day he resides in the same country with Kyuhyun. Their chances of bumping on one another are always against the odds

 

Kyuhyun got home and it was rather late, he was drunk once again but Sungmin doesn’t seem to be around his house. He sat at his bed staring blankly at nothing, his hope was high up on that meeting but it was crushed on not seeing him. He had an idea that Donghae might have planned it, that he deliberately wanted to send off his co-partner and his assistant, deep inside he knows Hae wouldn’t let them see each other before, what more at this point

 

“Once Henry… calls me about that meeting, I’m going to make sure… I’ll see you personally, I’ll be ready… to confront you, to try and make amends with you… to hope for you” a tear fell at the side of his eye

 

“I’m still broken after that day… you’re the only one who’ll fix this shattered heart of mine” he mumbled out at his depression, he wants to hope for Henry’s arrangement meeting. He wants him to fulfil that promise he made because, he wants to see Hae. Even just once more to get everything flattened out between them

 

After a while he fell asleep, around 2 in the morning. Sungmin came to his house; he made his way towards Kyu’s bedroom. He sat beside him and caressed his cheek and made his turn at the gentle touch, he smiled with teary eyes to see him sleep so peacefully

 

“I hope you’re dreaming of me even once… I wish I’d be that person that held a huge portion of your heart, and then it would mean that you will always be there for me. That you’ll always express your love for me, you’ll make me happy and feel complete. But that’ll only happen if I’d met you before you’ve known him” he felt bitter with that thought

 

“If only he didn’t come first, will you love me like you did for him? You were blinded by that damn feeling for him for so long that you didn’t even try to turn your gaze towards me… if you’d only had given me a chance to prove that I’m a much more suited person for you, only then you’ll be free from him” he never wished more than Kyu’s love

 

“Your mine… your mine to begin with, you don’t deserve anyone else but me… I’m the only one fit for you, none the less” he was also drunk but his love for Kyu was ten folds than the liquor’s effects

 

“You will never see him again… you will never have him again… if it’s the last thing I do, he’ll regret being part of your life” he swore

 

Kyuhyun then woke up, it was bright and early. He felt the sting of his hang over but he didn’t mind, he was already used to it since he had been drinking a lot for the past years. He wondered why he was covered under the sheets and his shoes were taken off, he didn’t recall what happened when he got to his bedroom. He then decided to get up and on his way to the bathroom, he heard the phone rang

 

He walked towards and thought it was his secretary, “Hello?” he asked lazily

 

“Someone just woke up” he wondered at who it was

 

“Excuse me?” he questioned

 

“I’m sorry; I didn’t introduce myself how impolite of me. It’s me Henry from Lau Corp. I called in to personally tell you that Sunday will be our little meet; we’ll be meeting at the steak house around a couple of blocks from where we held our proposal meeting. I hope you could have some time around lunch time?” he kindly asked

 

Kyu woke at what he said, “S-Sure, I have no schedules on Sunday so I’ll be available for that day”

 

“Splendid… I hope to see you soon, (Henry… who are you talking too at this time of the day?)” Kyu felt his heart skip a beat

 

“Nothing dear, I’m just having a little talk with a friend of mine (Is that a friend here or in China?)” he couldn’t be mistaking, it was certainly Donghae on the background

 

“He’s a new friend here, so I expect you be kind with him alright? (I’ll do, by the way will I meet him at our stay here?)” Kyu felt his chest cripple; for so long he’d wished to hear him once more and there he was on the other line

 

“Don’t worry, he’ll definitely meet you (I’ll right then, say my regards for him) sure, now where were we. Oh yeah. If you like to you could bring an acquaintance with you so someone would also be there beside you. The president with such great business should surely have a wonderful partner along with them” it tore Kyu to hear something like that

 

“Y-Yeah, but… to be honest… I’ve gone with business, alone… I have no one to bring for that meeting” he regretting said

 

“Oh, I’m sorry… I didn’t know” he took back what he said

 

“No… its fine, you didn’t know. By the way… would he really be with you?” Henry only chuckled

 

“Don’t worry, this time he won’t be able to escape. He’s committed to tag along with me whether he likes it or not, he swore to me that he would and he hadn’t broken a promise before” he felt so jealous as he became Donghae’s partner

 

“You must really be someone important to him… to stick with his promises, huh?” he heard him agree

 

“Yeah… he is, well you’ll get to know us more once we see each other. It’s just 2 days from now so we’ll see you soon then, take care” he gave his goodbye

 

“Yeah, we will… bye” he heard the other line disconnect

 

“D-Donghae… please… tell me… there’s… nothing… between the two of you” he felt himself tremble at the thought of truly losing him
