Changing Evolution

Description

Everyone wants to have an adventure. Or at least take part in one.

Even if it's something as simple as entering an amusement park when the said person is actually terrified of them.

But what do you do when you want a real adventure? Not just a ride at a park but an actual adventure? Especially if you've got what is termed an 'over-active imagination' where everything is made in to an adventure just from your mind.

Well, I guess you can always go in search of one. I can only guess...

Okay...so I had to restart this story because it was getting way too far off from the original and it was confusing me. :( I know that's so wrong. You're probably wondering: "How the heck can the author get confused with her own story?"...well it happens...unfortunately. So I've concluded to just stick to my original storyline. The forward is still the same.
This time around it will be a bit easier for you to understand it since it's the complete original.

Foreword

*A little bit of joy rises up in me with the thought that maybe they came back. They must have started to feel guilty for leaving me and turned back. I stuff the brooch, note, and cloth in my pocket and run for the entrance of the building.

"So you feel the guilt, huh?" I run out with a big smile on my face that fades to a flat expression.

A group of three people in dark hoods are standing some feet in front of me. This does not look too good at all. I start to back away slowly when the three hooded figures start heading towards me. The adrenaline is starting to build up in me and I'm ready to make a run for it if, more like when, I need to.

The steps of the three have gotten faster so I move back even faster. One is advancing quickly so I take this as my que to start running. I don't get more than three steps before one of the figures appears right in front of me from nowhere. I don't take the time to think and just turn to change my direction. Someone appears in front of me again but actually grabs me.

"Let me go!" I yell and start trying to fight this person off of me.

The grip around me gets tighter making me get tired of fighting with no visible result of winning. It doesn't seem like I'll be getting away so I open my mouth wide and grab at the nearest thing with my teeth and bite as hard as I can. There is a loud yell from this hooded figure but his grip on me doesn't lessen.

Against my own will I stop moving. I try to move but I just won't, I can't. Why am I not moving? The hooded one in front of me finally let's me go then throws his hood back. He has smooth dark brown hair that is a bit of a mess on top of his head. Besides that he's red with anger.

"Why didn't you stop her before she bit me?!" He yells while holding his arm where I bit and looking past me.

Then, one other person walks past me with light brown hair right towards the guy I just bit. He grabs his hand and examines it before speaking.

"I thought you could handle it. And besides, do you know how much energy it takes to control someone who is already in the motion of action?"

The guy scowls at him. "So I guess it's hard to stop a floating feather too, huh?"

"That's not the issue." The brown haired one says then turns to me. "The issue is that this girl is where she shouldn't be and we must find out why."

"Then let's do it." A voice of the third person behind me says in a chillingly stone cold and emotionless tone.*
