In a lost book, 5 princes fell in love with 1 strange girl. At that last chapter, the witch did the inevitable... she broke the book. 

Those 7 characters entered the real world. The witch unbelievably disguised herself as the heroine while the heroine was cursed as the witch. In that new world, the witch in disguise set out to capture the hearts of those 5 princes while the lost heroine unfortunately, was never noticed.

A few years later, it was finally set that those characters were needed to go back to the book as it was the last year of the spell but then it was also said that if the heroine was not a part of the story then she will cease to exist and the witch will forever remain as the heroine.

And if the heroine completed the story then the witch will perish, but then...

It won't always be a good ending especially when the girl decides to stay in the human world, which will cost her life.

The Lost Heroine From the book, before she met the Princes, she was known to be a Diligent Orphan, who loves to learn many things and believes that one who encounters hardships will suffice. She never knew  about the curse and that her body wasn't even hers. In the real world, her friends were known to be pretty much a bunch of badasses but were quite loyal to each other. She still lives a lonely yet contented life in the real world who manages to balance her school, part-time work, and hobbies. A rich friend of hers didn't want to go to school and so she registered herself in her friend's name in her elite school, Kingdom Hearts, as Kang Ji Eun, keeping her real name as Eun.

The Witch in Disguise The only one who knows that they're under the spell, obviously since she's the one who casted it. Although as years went by, she seems to have forgotten why she did it in the first place and why she wanted to be loved by the Princes. In the real world, she is the daughter of the founder of her elite school, Kingdom Hearts Academy, and is loved by her fellow students and of course, the Princes who simply adores her. She always avoids Eun because she believes that even one interaction may cause the Princes to notice her.

The SHINing Princes In the book, each of them has a different yet intriguing story of how they met Jung Roo. Some of them are  also related like Jinki is Taemin's cousin while Jonghyun is Kibum's brother but then in the real world, none of them are related but weirdly got stuck together with the help of Eun Hye, the witch in disguise. They are the most popular students in Kingdom Hearts Academy.

The Reader She never appeared in the book although she will play an important role in this story as the granddaughter of the writer herself. Ever since the people forgot about her grandmother, Yeon Soo got hold of the mysterious book and found out that its characters transferred to her world. This girl never had any friends of her own but she could care less about it as she enjoyed her solitude while reading books, especially those that her grandmother wrote. Nevertheless, she grew up to be a sweet independent young lady but her encounter with the lost heroine, she unexpectedly changed herself into a badass girl just to get close to her.

The Insignificant Teacher The person you would ask why he was even included in saving the book but his only connection is that he is rumoured to be Lee Eun Hye's older brother. Min Ki is a young wealthy man who would gamble, get himself drunk, and play with girls. He would usually refuse his father's requests but one fateful night, when he was asked to teach in Kingdom Hearts Academy, therefore meeting the girl he ran into at a bar, he gradually accepted it.
