Ah, yes /nods/ We have finished cleaning half of the kitchen and now I am here to make it messy once more~ /laughs/ Just kidding, I'll try not to make that much mess.

Let's see what I can make for dinner- oh? Really you think so? /opens your fridge and looks inside it/ not really, not that rare. But the thing that made me start cooking would probably be...the fact that I had too much free time and because i love sweets so decided to learn.

Would you consider baking? I have some baking ingredients just above in the drawers. -smiles- I don't bake much, maybe you can also teach me on the way. -smiles while rinsing my hands in the sink-

 

Baekhyun

/straightens up and looks at you/ baking, oh baking. Of course! I love cakes /takes the butter out and closes the fridge/ though I'm more of a sweet tooth so I usually add more sugar and sweetness when I bake ..but i don't think I could do that right now. /laughs lightly

Why ever not?? -smiles brightly, eager present in eyes; goes to the top drawers and gets some flour- What would you need in baking?

It might be too sweet for you that you might od /blinks/ well we'll need, flour check, butter check, chocolate, strawberries/ cherries, baking soda, cream, icing sugar and...baking tray! /taps my lips in thought/ I hope that's everything.

I'd eat whatever your magic hands do. -smiles and looks dumbfounded at the drawer- .... what do you need again..? -scratches head-

Hmm.. bad idea, hyung /laughs lightly/ I could easy just feed you poisoned strawberries and you wouldn't know it u . u but I'm not going to do that because poisoned strawberries are lethal /nods once and stands next to you looking at the drawer/ hmm that, those, /point point/ hmm the chocolate there /points/ and the marshmallows for snacks, right there. /points

You're very funny. -chuckles and attentively putting out the right ingredients out of the drawer, tongue sticking out a little in concentration- Are they all here? -clumsily slips the flour and poofs out the contents, covering our faces and body with flour-

 

Baekhyun

I am? /blinks/ not really, hyungie /laughs lightly and nods/ yep you got them all- /gets covered in flour and huffs/.. I can't believe my apron didn't save me.. /keeps my eyes closed to keep the flour out of my eyes/

-whines- Oh god, we just cleaned!!! -pouts and cries nothing- I am so sorry, I slipped. -bows repeatedly and dusts off your hair, ruffling it and pats your cheeks, wiping the dirt off-

 

Baekhyun

/laughs/ oh hyung, you worry too much, it's just flour~ /shakes my head, trying to get the flour off my hair/ And we can just vacuum it; and by we I meant hyung u . u

I am sorry!! I meant nothing in purpose. -bows again and dusts myself- Don't worry, Baek. You'll bake as I clean! -grins-

Hyung! stahp. pls. /pokes your forehead/ stahp apologizing /laughs/ no harm done! ehh.. but I wanted to bake with you /chews on my lip and crosses my arms/

Ooh, sorry.. I mean.. Ugh, sorry for apologizing. -scratches head- I mean.. sure, I'll help you. Let's just forget about the cleaning to later.

/smiles and flicks your forehead lightly/ Hyung's clumsy side was shown ~ okay! Now we have to pre heat le oven!

I am just so embarrassed. -bows a bit and blinks- What's pre heat?

 

Baekhyun

/straightens you up and makes you sit on the counter top/ watch and learn please /chin up; points at the oven/ this~ is the oven! /presses the button and turns the knob to a certain temperature/ and that hyung, is called pre heating!

 

Joonmyeon

-sits at the counter top and looks at you in awe- So that's pre heat... I usually call it opening the oven. -laughs- Why are you opening it though, we haven't made anything yet.

 

Baekhyun

Just to heat it so the time we put the baking tray inside it'd be ready in no time! Okay! Now, we need to mix all of the dry ingredients together! Go hyung! /finds a bowl and makes you hold it/

Okay, whatever you say.. -mentally takes down notes and stands up from the counter to the floor- Okay then!! -puts some of the flour and some sugar to the bowl- Errr, what else??

 

Baekhyun

The baking soda ! And then we get another bowl. /gets another bowl / and we mix all the wet things!

 

Joonmyeon

Okay... what's baking soda for?? -blinks while putting the whole box in- Sure, and we mix both wet and dry after?

 

Baekhyun

/blinks/ baking soda is a chemical compound that works better than baking powder /shrugs/ and so the eggs go in, the cream and vanilla essence~ /pours them in the bowl/ oh yeah don't forget the pinch of salt in that bowl!

-panics by the vast instructions- I'll go get the salt!! -goes to grab some, sprinkling in small amounts and mixes all the dry ingredients-

 

Baekhyun

Hmm hyung do you have a mixer? /looks through your drawers/ it's easier to use one than using a whisk.

 

Joonmyeon

I don't have one.. I am no baker so I don't have it. I actually have the ingredients only for display. -laughs with a huge grin, mixing the mixture in concentration- I am done with the dry!! Are these good?

 

Baekhyun

/takes out a whisk/ this is going to be a butthurt but meh, we can do this! /nods/ nae! It looks good hyung! Now we just need to mix these two together /slowly pours the wet ingredients in your bowl

Don't worry, I can mix it. I don't want you to be too tired. -smiles- Bakers are too precious to be tired. -starts mixing it slowly and in pace-

 

Baekhyun

I'm not an ordinary baker, hyung. I'm the infamous BakeBaek~ a bo- man who could easily bake his delicious cakes even without a mixer /cuts the baking paper for the baking tray as you mix

 

Joonmyeon

That's a good one, BakeBaek. -laughs, tummy slightly hurting- You're name can be put to so many words. Baekman, BakeBaek. SpiderBaek. -chuckles as I keep mixing- Gosh, this is so sticky, it kinda tires.

 

Baekhyun

I know right? /laughs and puts the paper inside of the tray/ okay /takes the bowl and the whisk from you/ then it my turn now! /smiles and starts mixing it fast/

 

Joonmyeon

-wiggles my arm, shaking it for relief- Hey, I was about to do it in my other arm! Hey, don't tire yourself. -frowns and tries to take hold of the whisk-

 

Baekhyun

I never get tired whilst baking hyung! And that's a fact! /beams and mixes it more until all of the chunks are gone and places the bowl on the counter/ alrighty! Now, we pour this mix in the baking tray! You can do it, hyung.

 

Joonmyeon

-nods after a frown for letting you whisk, taking hold of the bowl but hesitates- Wait, what are we making? A cake, cupcake, a cookie..? -blinks-

 

Baekhyun

A cake /nods and moves the baking tray in front of you/ pour~

 

Joonmyeon

-slowly pours down the ingredients carefully and emptying it all, cleaning the bowl clean with a spatula- Is it ready to go?

 

Baekhyun

/drops a couple cherries and strawberries as you you do/ I'm tempted to add marshmallows with these.. Anyways, nae! It's ready to go in!

Then we shall put on some marshies! -smiles- For the sake of making it even more perfect. -smiles-

Nah, maybe next time ~ /opens the oven and looks at you/ alrighty, put it inside! But careful, it's hot!

Okay. -nods eagerly and carefully places it inside the oven- To how many degrees? Should we even move the temperature?

 

Baekhyun

It was preheated to 180 so I think that's enough.. /Shuts it closed/ Now the waiting begins~ 30-35 mins!

-nods and smile- More specifically, resting time for Baek and cleaning for me. -chuckles-

You got that right ! /smiles and grabs the broom/ the floor covered flour should be cleaned first! /starts sweeping

Hey, I thought I said Baek Resting. Why are you handling a broom? -pouts as I clean the counter-

/blinks/ .. Sorry, you said what? /laughs lightly and keeps on sweeping

-crosses arms- Well, I was only being nice. I didn't know you are not tired. But it's okay if you rest, okay? -smiles-

I'm not tired! I like helping you, okay /chin up/ it's not a crime to help a hyung out okay?

What the crime here is, Hyung making a huge mess and dirtying everything including us. -laughs-

Woah- /stands on my feet and straightens up/ it's alright, Custer sugar, chocolate and more berries is all we need!

I guess we are safe. -sighs in relief- How many more minutes??? -dusts my shirt, flour dust settling aside-

Patience my dear hyungie, we have about /goes to check the cake/.. Hmm.. Eight minutes then we take it out and let it rest for a bit

That's awesome! -leans at the oven below the stove, peaking at the cake- It also smells chocolaty!! But it has a pinch of a burning smell, is that normal?

....hyung that's not normal /widens my eyes and flails/ Take it out!!! it's burning already!! /whines

-panics wildly, taking it out with bare hands- . -puts it down inside the oven and washes my hands-

/widens my eyes even more/ HYUNG. /wets the tea towel and wraps it on your hands/ .. why didn't you use oven mittens ?

-hands shivering in pain- I forgot, all I thought of was to get the cake out!! I'm sorry.. -winces in pain, eyes twitching-

No apologizing please.. /bites my lip at your swollen palms/... you should've at least used the teatowel ..

I panicked.. -mentally face palms myself- Thanks, Baek.. I can take care of it. -nods a bit- You go get the cake out.

/nods and walks back to take the cake out, using another tea towel to hold it/ are you going to be alright hyung?

Yeah, like you said before, we heal fast enough... but it's a little sore. -dries my hands at a cloth and blows air at it- The pain's... bearable.

Only if I had healing powers.. /goes to stand next to you/ do want ice on it?

Hey, I'm alright. -smiles- Ughm.. I guess that'll ease down the sore. Yes please. -chuckles a bit, hands still shivering from pain-

/goes to get the ice tray, takes out the ice cubes and wraps them inside a tea towel/ here hyung /places it gently on your hands

No worries hyung /smiles softly and turns to look at the cake/.. It's not too burnt .. It's just more gold-ish I guess

So.. does that mean that we should not have taken it out? -tilts head- It's still edible?

The burning smell probably came from the mix that dripped on the outside of the tray.. It's actually prefect /beams/ you saved the cake, hyung!

Ohh, goodness thanks! -smiles brightly- We can continue designing it later! I mean, you designing it, I don't know how. -chuckles- How many minutes till cool down?

You can help too you know! And you have to! Only If you could work with your hands though /looks at the cake/ I'll just transfer this on a big plate first!

I just realized I made merengeu instead of icing . - . oh well /shrugs/ we could just burn the outside then~! and oh, we just need chocolate.. and a bowl /goes and get them

Merengeu..? What's that? -blinks- Wait, burn the outside? I'm so lost, why would we do that? -puts the spatula down-

Merengue is almost whipped cream-like when it's still wet, though it hardens up after a while /heats up and melts the chocolate/ and when you eat it, it melts in your mouth!

I see that merengue is good. -nods- Why would you burn it though? -tilts head again and looks at the melting chocolate-

Not burn-burn like it's all black and stuff, just light heating! So the edges and points look like they're golden /smiles and stirs the melted chocolate

I have a lot of free time so I do /nods/ but like I said before, I experiment, rather than follow the actual instructions /smiles softly and finishing applying the chocolate/ now the berries!
