Time was kind to Hyesung. Though wrinkled with age and his hair greyed with the passage of time, he was still the beautiful man that Eric met more than 60 years ago. Eric held his hand, tears glistening in his eyes.

“Hyesung-ah… I don’t want to live on without you. Can’t you just stay with me, forever?” Eric whispered brokenly. Hyesung his still-smooth, unchanged cheek softly.

“If I could, I would.” He smiled sadly. “But I’m only human, after all. And humans die, unlike your kind.”

And as Hyesung faded away in his arms, Eric promised to himself that he would be his first and last love, as he kissed his beautiful man for the last time.

I decided to incorporate both romance and angst since that's what I do best, but I think it ended up being too melodramatic. ^^;;; I took the literal meaning of 'only human' instead of the usual 'well I make mistakes, I'm only human', just to give it a fresher approach.
