Confusion (On Hiatus)

"Yes. Yes, this is perfect,” Luhan concluded after at least a half an hour playing dress-up using Yixing as his doll. He stood back to appreciate how good Yixing looked in the black vest over a red shirt.

“This is what I was wearing about half an hour ago, ge. Seriously?”

“Just be glad I mad up my mind,” Luhan replied casually. He really could go at this for a whole day if he wanted.

“You should have gone into fashions designing or something. It would be fitting for such diva a like you,” Yixing joked.

“I don’t create, I just combine. You look really nice in black and red, I swear,” Luhan teased. “You should wear it more often.”

“This sounds like a compliment to you as opposed to me. You’re complimenting your skills at choosing clothes, I’m just your doll,” Yixing replied good-humouredly.

“Why don’t we just go to History, then. You don't want to keep that cute bartender waiting, do you?” Yixing sighed. Luhan could be a real pain in the sometimes, like when it came to Yixing’s love life. Back in middle school, Luhan tried to set Yixing up on a blind date with. While she was a great person, Yixing wasn’t into her in that way. They were just friends. Now Luhan was setting him up with an almost complete stranger. This was a stretch even for him.

“Do I really have to go ge?”

“Yes, yes you do. You agreed to go so you have to.”

“Actually, technically you agreed to go.”

“I did it in your name so it’s okay.” He smiled innocently and Yixing just couldn’t help but smile back.

“I guess we should get going then,” he said resignedly, smiling the dimpled smile that made Luhan’s heart melt.

Once again, they were in front of the club, History, with the name written in a jagged script and lit by neon lights. Yixing took a deep breath before heading into the dark building once again. On the stage, the redhead was singing again. Yixing had to admit that he had a lovely singing voice, especially the high notes, which sent shivers down his spine. Luhan led Yixing to the bar and they took seats. The sober bartender was at the other end. Someone took a seat behind Yixing and he turned to see Chen again.

“Fancy seeing you here. Have you come back for seconds? Most do.” He put a hand on Yixing’s thigh and squeezed a little.

“Um. I’m not really seeing anyone tonight. I was just saying hi to Jongin…” Yixing said, awkwardly shifting under Chen’s gaze.

“Oh yes. That one’s a hot guy if I ever saw one. The jaw line is really the clincher with him, that and the fact that he’s the strong silent type. Ooh I get shivers just thinking about it,” Chen half-joked. “Well when you want a host, don’t forget to ask for me.” He giggled before he gave Yixing’s thigh a final squeeze and walked over to the hostess to see who his next client was.

Luhan couldn’t hold his laughter in anymore. He burst into laughter and made that weird face he always made when he was laughing unusually hard, when his mouth opened almost like a snake’s, wider than you would think was even possible. “I don’t think Chen’s act is fully acting. Some of that looked real. Who knows, you might be getting another number tonight.”

“Luhan, you’re just being silly. This is a host club, of course he’s going to be flirting like that.” Yixing looked over to see Chen talking to another customer and his act was definitely toned down from the “act” he was giving Yixing earlier. Luhan looked over Yixing’s shoulder to see what he was looking at.

“See? You’re just really popular. I swear, you’re nice, you’re beautiful, and you’re just generally perfect,” Luhan joked. Luhan actually felt that on the inside, but Yixing only took it as Luhan’s usual antics as opposed to a confession.

“Oh. I didn’t think that you were serious,” said a husky voice behind them.

“Jongin~” Luhan said in a singsong voice. “Of course we were serious! Honestly, I needed to get Yixing out of the house so what would be better than spending an evening here? Especially with a nice boy like you.” Luhan was practically beaming at Jongin.

“Do you want something to drink?” It was his job to ask so he did so.

“I’m going to have an Astral Gateway. You do those, right? It’s vodka, lemon juice, ginger ale, and Blue Curacao,” Luhan smiled brightly. Though he didn’t look it, he could drink anyone under the table and still look as sober as someone who has had five cups of coffee. Yixing, on the other hand, couldn’t hold his liquor for the life of him.

“I’ll take a scotch I guess,” Yixing replied. Jongin returned with their drinks and leaned against the bar, as he didn’t have any other customers.

“So tell us about yourself Jongin. You look about University age, do you just go to school in the city?” Luhan prodded.

“Yeah.”

“What are you studying?” Yixing asked after an elbow to the ribs from Luhan.

“I’m studying music.” Had the light not been so dark, Luhan and Yixing might have been able to see the slight tint of pink that came to his cheeks.

“That’s cute, so is Yixing. He writes his own songs, you know? What else do you do?” Luhan barged into the conversation again.

“I’m a dancer as well,” Jongin replied slowly. Usually, as a bartender, he was the person asking the little questions and having others talk to him about all of their problems. It was weird being at the other end of the conversation.

“What sort of dance do you do?” Yixing asked, a little more interested.

“I do ballet and jazz along with hip-hop,” he replied, face turning just a shade darker.

“I do techno and hip-hop. I’ve never tried ballet before.” Yixing was smiling as he took a sip of scotch. The dimple on his cheek made both Jongin and Luhan’s hearts melt.

“You should dance together sometime,” Luhan urged.

“What are you, my mother?” Yixing joked.

“Well my baby is growing up, I just want him to be happy. Besides, you look like a great guy,” Luhan replied innocently. Jongin blushed, but no one could tell in the dark room.

“Maybe if you have some time free, I suppose,” Jongin replied slowly.

“That sounds like it would be fun,” Yixing said.

They continued making small talk like this for hours. People came and went and Jongin went to serve them but always returned to talking to Yixing and Luhan. While Yixing stayed with the one glass of scotch, Luhan probably went though six drinks, looking sober as ever. They found out that Jongin was both a dancer and a writer, which Yixing found admirable. The club was closing up at around two in the morning and Luhan and Yixing had to leave, but they promised to return the next evening and Jongin found himself replying with a soft, “I’ll be looking forward to it,” before he could stop himself.

A/N: So this chapter reads a little awkwardly because I wrote it in bits and snippets and now it just doesn't flow quite right. I hope you enjoy it regardless and I also hope that future chapters don't sound nearly as stupid. XD

Chapter 11: I can't get enough of this story. The sweet romance, the unintentional angst that pricked holes at my heart, yet the gleaming innocence of the little lamb, Yixing. The adoring crushes of the others for the boy make me unsettled; unsure as to what I want who to be together, since they all seem cute together. Its been awhile I have read such a well written and detailed story in a long shot.

Must be my luck on my side. *yawn* I should really be going to bed, considering how late it is from reading so much overnight. Man, it is already 6 am, I must get going but this story really tickles my heart strings. I really am too feminine for my own good.

Chapter 11: Ah! I swear this story keeps on getting better and more interesting. I don't even know which ship I should support. LuHan has always been there for YiXing but if he's really the one who ends up with YiXing then what about MinSeok? so I guess it's a no for LayHan (XiuHan forever!). For BaekHyun, I don't exactly see BaekLay being a thing (I'm a BaekYeol shipper) but somehow this story is an exception since I kinda find them cute here and I feel bad for BaekHyun (I don't really know why lol). JongIn... well I have always liked the ship KaiXing so yeah. JongDae, I don't really know about ChenLay but I still ship them. I pity SeHun though (I ship them too). I curious on to what JoonMyeon, KyungSoo and ZiTao's characters are (you know like their personalities and what they do for a living). So I'm Looking Forward To The Next Chapter, Author. XD

Chapter 10: Hey! An update :D I'm excited for this, I want to see how Yixing's relationship with the others will develop... By the way I noticed you said in a previous chapter that Joonmyun would be a candidate too but we haven't been introduced to him yet? (Sulay is my ultimate canon ship so I may be a little biased xD) By the way if Sehun comes back into the story I don't even know what I'd do lmao.
((Oh and also a question for the previous chapter as well, didn't Yixing date Sehun for like, 2 years+? Is he still a ?))
