It's cold o'clock in the morning, and your hands wrap around my belly making a lifesaver with their warmth.
:Do you want some coffee?
I shake my head, and my cheek bumps against yours. Your long brown hair tickles against my ear, and your breath smells like nicotine and sleep.
:I don't like coffee.
You aready know this though because I've told you before. I think it was the seventh night we met.
:Mm.
You squeeze onto me even tighter, and I pretend that I'm watching the sky through the large plate of glass that leads to the hotel's balcony. But really. Really I'm trying not to let all those words you've said in the past thirteen hours become something I'll hold on to.
You place a kiss on my shoulder before inhaling through your nose.
:I have to go.
The words come out but neither of us move.
The sky is an ugly shade of plum, and I know that two things will never happen.
You will never leave her, and I will never let go of the past thirteen hours.
So this drabble is based on the story I am doing for NaNoWriMo.
