While I was waiting outside the class, I kept looking at the window and noticed the castle that was a few metres away from this place. Then, I sensed someone was coming towards me. I turned and my eyes widened as I looked at the person. “Miss Aphrodite? What are you doing here?” I asked as I looked at her confused but she just smiled me. “I knew that you were going to be transferred here. My oh my, you’re getting prettier than I’ve ever thought.” She said as she examined me. I blushed and shook my head. She told me to wait outside and I nodded.

While she was waiting outside, I heard them talking about Mirae and I sat between You Jung and Baekhyun, You Jung’s brother. “Hyung, I’ve been looking for you just now. Where are you and the others?” I asked Baekhyun. He told me that they went to class earlier. Then, Miss Aphrodite came in and told us the news. “Okay guys, we have a new transferred student tonight from Vampire Knight House of Night.  To the student out there, you may come in please.” She said excitedly and I scoffed. They looked at me along with Miss Aphrodite confused. “Miss Aphrodite, you should just call her name. Don’t need to say “to the student out there” like that.” I said. “Yeah, you’re right. Thanks for mentioning, Sehun. Mirae, you can come in.” She said. I looked at You Jung and grinned at her. She just smiled at me.

I was still staying outside the classroom while waiting for name to be called. Then, when I heard Miss Aphrodite called me “to the student out there” I scoffed at the statement but before I went in I heard Sehun told her to mention my name. “Thank you very much, my new friend.” I muttered to myself and went in as Miss Aphrodite told me so. As I went in, I heard the boys whistling at me except Sehun and the other one who seem reserved. I heard the girls groaned in frustration but I ignored it. Then, Miss Aphrodite told me to introduce myself. I nodded and introduced myself to everyone in class. After the introduction, she told me to sit beside the reserved boy. I nodded and went towards the empty seat beside him. He looked at me and I smiled at him. “Hi, I’m Mirae. What’s your name?” I asked as I introduced myself to him. He introduced himself as Do Kyungsoo but he wanted me to call him D.O. I nodded and he smiled as the lesson started.

After the classes had finished, it was about time for me to rest my mind a little bit. I felt someone tapped on my shoulder and looked at the person. “Hi, I’m Miranda. The most beautiful person in Night class. C’mon you should hang out with us than hanging out with this person. He looks like a freak.” She said while looking at her nails. I scoffed. “Oh, you think I should hang out with you? I don’t think so. I rather hang out with a freak than hanging out with you because I’m one of them. Besides, my new friend over here is not a freak but you are. C’mon D.O, let’s go and ignore them.” I snapped back at her and grabbed D.O’s wrist and went out of the class. She was about to attack me but I stopped.

“BTW, I didn’t mention one thing to you. You think that you were the only one beautiful and you think that all the guys were drooling over you? I don’t think so. You’re not that beautiful though. FYI, every women in this academy are beautiful but not on the outside but in here.” I pointed towards her heart and continued, “That’s why I rather hang out with a freak, a nerd, a person who was beautiful from inside out and a person who has nothing but sincerity. But hanging out with you, I rather suffered myself first. That’s what a friend does. They understand what a person feels whether it’s happiness or sadness. C’mon D.O.” I grabbed his wrist and went out of the classroom.

After I went out of the classroom with D.O, I brought him to the garden which I saw just now on my way to class just now. “You know, you don’t have to defend for me. I was born like this. I always was being a tease to everyone. They always tease me like I didn’t have a dignity except Sehun and You Jung. They weren’t like them but they didn’t even talk to me. But when I saw you… I feel like you were taking me out from the darkness… even though we just met.” He said in a sad way.

“I’m not a natural-born vampire. I was bitten and marked by Miss Aphrodite.” He said as he looked at me. My eyes widened and I was about to ask him but he continued, “When I was little, my parents always abuse me because to them I was useless and a troublemaker. I have to take the burden until they decided to abandon me when I was 16. My heart broke into pieces at that time when they kicked me out. So, I walked away from the house and into the streets. I have no money, no shelter and food.” He said. I couldn’t help but to listen to his story. I started to feel guilty towards him.

“If you don’t have any money, shelter and food, how did you manage to survive?” I asked. “That’s when Miss Aphrodite found me. I was about to die from dehydration and lack of oxygen at that time. She came towards me and examined me. I immediately knew that she was a vampire because she had the same moon tattoo on her forehead as you. I asked her to kill me but she didn’t do it. Instead, she marked and bit me. That’s how I managed to survive. She saved me. She told me that she desperately needed a child and decided to adopt me. Everyone didn’t know that I was her foster child and you were the first one that I told about my past.” He explained.

I couldn’t help but hugged my new friend that I’ve just made tonight and cried hard on his shoulder.
