"I don't want to be in a relationship right now."

That's what I told Minho hyung when I rejected him, because I can't bear to lie to him.  I can't tell him it's because I don't love him.

I don't want to be in a relationship that's doomed to failure; I don't want to break up at the end.  It's not worth it by any stretch of my imagination.

I love him.  But all the same, my heart aches, because I know; I know the single most painful truth in the world, and that's that we were never meant to be together.  And I don't want to be in a relationship that was never meant to be.

You can't fight fate.  You can't control it.  And even if you can't bring yourself to believe in it, you'll still blame it for those painful shards of your bleeding heart, still trapped inside your ribcage, screaming for a comfort you can never give it.  Because to some, love is both a blessing and a curse.
