Minho often wondered where he and the other SHINee members would be if they hadn’t come together to form SHINee.  He himself would probably have played some sort of sport, most likely soccer, taking after his father.  He could imagine Onew going on to study overseas, with the potential to make absolutely anything out of his life.  Jonghyun and Key had plenty of interests which they could have followed as well.

The one Minho wondered about the most was Taemin.  That boy had spent the larger latter portion of his youth dancing.  He had devoted himself to it entirely, neglecting friends and sometimes even his homework in favor of practicing and improving his skill.  If that career path had failed him, where would their maknae be now?

He also wondered what will happen when the day finally comes for SHINee to disband.  He thought about the possibilities, but he didn’t like many of them, and he certainly wasn’t satisfied even with the ones he did happen to like.  He wasn’t worried about his hyungs; they would manage just fine on their own.  Once again, it was the maknae at whom his concern was directed.

To quell his doubts and worries, Minho finally spoke to the maknae about it directly.

“Taemin,” he asked, “if you couldn’t be a performer, what would you be?”

Taemin’s reply was simple and short, but it meant the world to Minho.

“Yours.”

And that was enough.
