NARRATION

Eli, Mina and Kevin were walking closer and closer towards the restaurant,

Mina and Kevin were walking slowly hand in hand 

They were getting nervous as the imagery of them meeting the guys family , were drawing near.

 

They entered the restaurant,

heading towards the private room eli turned to kevin,

"Kevin... it's best you stay out here... we won't be long... i promise.."

Mina squeezed Kevin's hands before going into the room and they exchanged smiles...

 

ELI's POV

I was walking infront of Mina and Kevin

i thought i would give them some time alone...

 

As we reach the restaurant... we walked slowly towards the private room,

where  the so called meeting was,

 

Before going inside i turned back to kevin... and said...

"Kevin... its best you stay out here... we won't be long i promise.."

i thought it would be better if he was to stay outside,

i don't want him to be to caught up in the family matter, it will become chaos

He understood...

Me and Mina opened the door and made our way in... the first person i saw was my mother..

 

 “Oh you guys have arrived!”

My mother stood up from her seat as soon as she saw me and mina walk into the room..

I  gave her a very annoyed look, but she ignored it.

“Come here mina!” 

she bolted to mina and held on to her tight,

She introduced us to the so called "in-laws",

the ones that only she wants to be friends with…

“Mrs Lee and Chan Hee , this is my daughter Mina…and my son.. Eli..”

She introduced us and we just bowed in respect.. i got a big shock as i looked at the guy..

i knew exactly who he was... chunji from teen top!... i was going to say something, but he quickly shook his head at me with a shocked face...

so i just respected that and kept quiet.. for now..

“Hello, nice to meet you,”

Mina and I said in a very monotone voice ,

almost with no emotions.

“Okay sit down you too..”

Our mother urged us to sit down…

I was about to sit across from the Chan Hae guy, 

but then my mother was being a nuisance  at that moment.

 “No Eli. Mina can sit across from her fiancé..”  

she said while holding on to my shoulder to stop me from sitting down any further…

 

this is weird.... how he is going to take over his fathers business? what about his group?

 

“Fine…mina come here….”  

We were now all sitting around the dinner table…

 the only voices that could be heard were the two older females,

they were giving me a headache...

 

“So lets talk about the wedding shall we?”

“Ahh yes… about the dates?”

“I was thinking maybe before the new year?”

“That would be nice how about the guests?”

"when shall we sign the papers?"

"will they be having any kids?"

 

They were just talking as if they were in a ping pong competition...

 it was too fast,

 I found my self becoming breathless

 my hands balled up into tight fists…

Blah blah blah blah…

they were yabbering on about the wedding,

Me mina and  Chanhee just kept quiet…

 but I can’t take it anymore, I finally burst!

“Can you guys just stop!!!”

I screamed in their faces,

almost as if I was going to punch one of them

“Eli, whats wrong with you, do you talk to elders like that?”

My mother shouted back at me,

“Is everything okay?”” The women said in a very arrogant manner,

I shot some rudeness back at her

“No everything is not okay! Mina is not going to marry your son, you crazy lady!”          

 

"Eli!"" My mother gave apologetic looks to the lady, but i didn't care...

“You too mother, I can’t believe that you would even just sell your only daughter away, just so dad can keep his job!, and your stupid agreement...how selfish could you be?!”

 

“You listen mister and you listen good! I can make your father disappear in the food industry for ever!  Mina is going to marry my son!”

The lady was getting furious, and at that moment

...the door opened to reveal the most beautiful girl ive ever seen …

and i was pretty sure... I’ve seen her before…

 

“NO SHE CAN’T!!! THEY CAN’T GET MARRIED!”

 

She came through the door, looking like a hero....

She was gorgeous...

“ mica unnie??”

And so that’s her name!.. nice…

 

“And can I ask who you are!”  My mother shouted back at her

mica bit her lips, maybe she was nervous,

“Mrs Kim and Mrs Lee nice to meet you too my name is Park Mica, but that doesn’t matter right now.. they can’t get married….""

She said calmly as she walked over closer to Mina,

Mina held on to her arm..she hugged mina, they must be close

 “who are you too say that”.. Mrs Lee said… she was about to push someone at this point

 “chanhee…have you told your mother yet?”  Mica looked at Chanhae, he looked at her and looked away…

 “tell me what?” Mrs Lee was very confused she looked at chunhae then back at mica 

 “Well….”… she started to explain,

she was there to save the day, she is like a goddess…

 

Mica's POV

I have finally made it to the restaurant where Mina had her meeting…

I ran as fast as I could to bring the good news!

As I got to the front of their private room,

 I saw a familiar figure standing outside, I must have met him somewhere before,

he stood up as I was about to open the door…

“Excuse me..but..”

I heard him say, but this wasn’t the time for conversation …

Before I opened the door I heard some screaming …..

“You too mother, I can’t believe that you would even just sell your only daughter away just so dad can keep his job!, how selfish could you be!”

 

“You listen mister and you listen good! I can make your father disappear in the food industry for ever!  Mina is going to marry my son!”

And now was my time to bring this nonsense to an end!

 

“NO SHE CAN’T!!! THEY CAN’T GET MARRIED!”

I shouted as I stepped into the room,

I saw the guy walk in after me,

he just stood there as I spoke, I really wondered who he was…

I scanned the room, I saw Mina, her mother and a very familiar figure AGAIN.

 

 I looked at him and I remembered, he was the guy i bumped into earlier that day...talk about coincidence...

but back to the more important things!!

 

“mica unnie??” 

Mina said as she was very surprised as to why I was there

“And can I ask who you are!” 

Mina’s mother was very angry at how I crashed her so called party,

but all due respect ...I introduced myself…

“Mrs Kim and Mrs Lee nice to meet you too my name is Park Mica but that doesn’t matter right now.. they can’t get married…. “

Mina came over to me and i hugged her to tell her it was okay..

I bit my lips, I was getting nervous, but I had to stand up for my friend..

 I was about to get a story going, about what I found out.. when I got interrupted

“who are you too say that” Mrs Lee was frustrated,

I continued talking because  I’ve got news that could change her sons life forever..

 “chanhee…have you told your mother yet?” I looked at the young man with disappointment,

he just stared at me, it seemed like he had many words to say but he just couldn’t get it out…

 

“tell me what?” Mrs lee looked at chunhae and then looked back at me…

 I looked at the young man, his eyes were getting teary…

“Well….

 

*FLASHBACK*(MICA's POv)

I was walking around the school where lee chan hee attended,

 I was exploring and was hoping to get more information about him….

“OMG NEIL OPPA! L.JOE OPPA!! CAP OPPA!!”

 

I suddenly heard a loud crowd of screams so I walked over to the noise…

There were a bunch of boys that were surrounded by so many girls, they looked very familiar,

as if like i saw them on tv before...

“Have you guys seen ChunJi? He is late for practice…”

 

ChunJi?  Who are they talking about..…

“Oh ChanHee oppa said he has an important meeting today…” one of the fan girls said…

So wait ChunJi and ChunHae is the same person…

 I had to find out what was going on? Who is this guy?

“Okay then, well when one of you guys see him tell him, he is late and we are waiting!”

The guy named Neil said

“OKAY OPPA! TEENTOP FIGHTING!!”

TeenTop??!!

That’s it

that’s the people I need to talk too

“Hey Hey! Wait!!”

 I shouted out as I ran to them

“Huh?" All five of them turned around to see me,

their faces was filled with shock, I wonder why,

and then one of them, I think it’s the one named L.Joe started to talk to me

even though i know about teen top...

doesnt mean i know all their names......

“Oh hey beautiful, what is it?..” he put his hand over my shoulders

I brushed it off

“ummm no…. none of that…’’

 I looked at all of them from top to toe, it was getting awkward.. then I spoke..

“you guys know a guy named lee chun hae or in this case chunji?”

 

“Ofcourse we do, he is one of our group members.. ready guys?…”

Neil said,

 but when he said ready guys,  I was a bit dumfounded and in seconds they were introducing themselves

“WE ARE TEENTOP IMNIDA!!”

Okay…. I was quite surprised

"I know who you guys are .. well not really, i don't know all your names...i like your song clap..I'm so cra cra crazy clap clap clap clap mad man!.."

i started singing to one of their songs, they just giggled..

"Wow noona thats was good, thanks for liking us, let us introduce ourselves"  

Neil said, i guess he was the talker of the group

i was in a big rush of time, but i didnt want to be rude..

They went around in a circle and introduced them one by one,

“I’m L.Joe, I’m Neil , I’m Cap, I’m Ricky, I’m C...”

 

I cut in before the last guy got to say his name...

“Sorry but I’m in  hurry I need to know about chunji, he is getting married to a friend of mine, and he will be going to the States  do you guys know any of that…? I quickly explained

“WHAT?!” They all said in unison

“no no asjgjkabriokndlsl he cant aiharhisoehffn”

they were all talking at once I couldn’t take it all

“STOP!!! Can just one of you talk!” i shouted at the top of my lungs so they can hear me..

“okay…. C.A.P hyung you talk…"

 Neil got him to talk, as the rest of them kept quite and looked at the ground... 

 “ Well that can’t be true because our group, teentop has just debuted and we are going very well, chunji  can’t just leave, besides he is under a contract ,if he

breaks that his dreams will be crushed and he will also be paying a hell LOT to the company, but despite him having a contract, he loves singing and

dancing... it is his passion… but he tells us that his mother never understands him,and always wants him take over the family business,

its not fair on him…his been hiding all of his talents from his mother… and been lying that he was learning how to become a chef in korea..“

 

I can tell C.A.P was getting angry just talking about it… his face was getting red…

“Okay don’t you guys worry I will get him out of this mess, because my best friend is involved..” I reassured all of them

I waved goodbye and ran away, but I suddenly remembered something

“Sorry what was your name?” I turned around to ask the guy who I cut off

He had his head down but shot it back up when he heard my question

“ohh it’s changjo!”

“TeenTop fighting! I will return chunji to you guys in time!”

I continued to run off

“What your name?!”  all of them called out…

“I’m  Park Mica  I’ll meet you guys again!! Bye!!”

*FLASH BACK END*

 

Mica's POV

So I told them everything that I know,

about chunji’s contract, about his passion towards performing,

but his mother  still didn’t approve…

i tried to do a bit more of convincing… but someone was ahead of me in that idea...

“Well have you ever put yourself in your kid’s shoes, he is still young, didn’t you get to do what you wanted when you were younger…” 

This guy had a point...

“Eli..what are you talking about stop…”

Oh so his eli… Mina’s brother..

he really does care for his sister..very attractive.

.no... I had to snap out of it

besides I have someone else in my mind don’t i?

“No Mrs Kim… Eli has point, Mina and Chunji haven’t even had a chance to live their dreams and your telling them to stop, you are actually getting in their way…" 

I backed up eli's statement, he smiled at me, and ours eyes met,

i felt butterflies in my stomach... but thankfully someone else talking brought me back to the main situation..

“That’s right mummy, didn’t you get married to dad because you loved him, and didn’t you chase your dreams before settling down… why aren’t you giving me that chance…”

Chunji finally spoke up, he is defending himself and his dreams

“I already told you that the entertainment industry is a dark dark world, you will suffer, why don’t you listen to me, let’s just move back to the states and live a normal life”

they were getting into a heated up argument

I had to say something …

“If you don’t let chunji, live his dream and have his passion for music and performing then he will never live a normal life…”

 

“Thankyou..” 

   chunji saidly shyly but I heard him, I’m a little bit older than chunji, so I know exactly what chasing my dreams meant...

 

 “Everyone has an idea of what they want out of life, and what chunji wants is a approval from you to get to do what he loves and that is too show the world

that you have a son who can move the heart of many through his love for performing, how can something so simple be so complicated for you grown ups!”

I knew I had to talk some sense into her.. 

 

“Look I don’t know who you are but you are ruining everything…  Mina is going to marry chanhee and that’s final” Mr's Park shouted

 

NARRATION

The whole room was in an awkward and angry atmosphere..

 “No I’m not mom! I’m not going to marry just because you want me too or just because dad needs to keep his job” 

Mina Defended herself

“Your father will not only lose his job, but also his opportunity to work in the field/industry ever again, and you know that is his passion!”

Mrs. Lee snapped back at Mina..

 Eli’s Mother couldn’t keep her anger in any longer,

but this time its not anger towards her kids,

it was towards the women that is shouting at them... She finally burst.

“You can keep your threats… I’m sick of you…. From the moment you asked me if my daughter can marry your son I was sick of you…

and now your threathening my family, that is enough, even if my husband loses his job he still has our support as a family,

not like you, who doesn’t even care for what your son wants to do….”

Mrs Kim went over to hug Mina and Eli.

 “How dare you?…”

*RING RING RING RING*

At that moment Mrs. Kim and Mrs. Lee phone both rang,

After both of their conversations they came back half smiling and half annoyed…

“Okay the wedding is off…”

they both said at the same time…they were both surprised but ended up laughing,

Mrs. Lee looked at chanhee and smiled...

“ I guess you trust your father more than you trust me,

 from now on, you can tell me anything okay, we are a family, I only wanted you to come to the states so you can be by my side always…"

Mrs. Lee went over to put a hand on ChunJi''s shoulder

“Oh mother! I will always be yours no matter what! No one can take me away from you” Chunji pulled his mom into a hug

“Thankyou Mica, you have talked some sense into me, and Thankyou Eli….”

Mrs Lee said, sincerely..

“Thankyou Noona…”

Chunji said as he was hugging his mother..

"You better show the world, what your made of, chan hee..."  Mrs. Lee said as she caressed her son's head ..

"It's Chunji now mum, but i will always be your little chanhee"

 

Mica just smiled and clapped her hands together…this was the happy ending she wanted..

she looked at Mina,

she was smiling and crying at the same time, Mica walked over to wipe her tears

“Thankyou unnie…” Mina found her smile again and they hugged., they loosened the hug,

 

Eli was just standing there watching them, he was smiling too

“Oh here let me introduce…"  Mina pulled Mica along to meet her family

  "this is my brother eli and my mother"

“Nice to meet you Mrs Kim”

“I have to say a big thankyou to you Miss Park.."... 

 

“Please just call me Mica ”
