(Still) ELI's POV

Kevin dropped to the ground onto his knees,

Kibum hyung crouched down to Kevins level and hugged him 

“Kevin, Don’t worry I will get this thing sorted"

,I’m not going to let Mina get married to someone of who only my parents approve,

but you have to promise me that you will let Mina know how you feel and to treat her right!!” 

i said as i looked at the sight of kibum hyung hugging kevin and kevin just being speechless...

The three of us didn’t talk at all that night,

Kibum hyung was making his way back to korea before us,

For the whole night I just kept my eye out for Kevin.

 

Mina is lucky to have someone that loves her so much ...

Where is my Mrs. Right?.......

NARRATION 

Late into the night,

Eli was packing and getting ready  to sleep,

Kevin was laying on his bed, facing away from Eli....

“I know I should’ve told you earlier, but I was waiting for the right time”…

He let out a sigh...

Kevin didn’t say a word.

He has been like that since he found out.

“I will get her out of it ,I promise”.

Eli says with great sincerity..

 

Kevin’s POV

“I know I should’ve told you earlier, but i was waiting for the right time.”

Eli said to me, and then he let out a sigh.

I’m angry at him,

but I’m actually more angry at myself,

I should’ve told mina, 

should've have let her know about these feelings all along...

 

There was a very long moment of silence before i had to break the ice...

I was still lying in my bed, 

Eli was laying in his.

“Hey Eli”

I finally broke the silence.

I hope he hasn’t slept yet,  I didn’t get a response…

I tried again…

“I remember you always saying that “we always have to finish or continue what we started.."

well... that advice comes in handy now...I’m going to go by that…"

Suddenly Eli the light on his nightstand which sort of scared me.

“Kevin… Mina is meeting the parents of that man, tomorrow, I am taking you along, whether you like it or not.”

 Eli said very seriously.

“You didn’t even have to ask, I’m definitely going to be there.”

I said with full confidence

 We both went back to sleep.

“Goodnight Kevin....”

“Goodnight Eli...”

It was that time of the morning, where people are suppose to be waking up and getting ready for the day...

Mina’s extremely cute but annoying alarm tone woke her up, once again...

Rolling over on her bed ,she lets out a frustrated grunt.

“I think I might have to get another alarm tone to wake up me up in the morning…kim hyung jun is getting boring...”

Mina says as she sits up on her bed

"WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP!!!"

“Okay okay I get it..i’m up…”

Turning off the alarm…

Mina browsed around the room,

she was still half asleep, but she still managed to realize that the other half of the bed was empty…..

she was surprised only because her and Mica had to share a bed....

 

Walking out of her room, minah felt that the whole house was empty..

“Unnie..!?”…

She got no response...

She was home alone...

 

Mina’s POV

I was walking, I kept on walking,

until I realised I wasn’t able to stop walking…

everything around me was blue… and then a little bit of white fluff was floating around…

I must have been in the skies…but how is was that possible..

As I was walking I saw a figure in the distance, he turned around...

it was kevin... i ran towards and as i wanted to give him a hug, he stopped me...

he used a finger and flicked my forehead with it,

and next thing you know i was falling from the skies... terrified and scared... i couldn't stop myself from falling...

 

*WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP!!!*

phew...

..It was a dream… one i was having continuosly...this wedding thing has got way out of hands... even in my dreams i couldn't have kevin.

my alarm of kim hyung jun, stopped me from having a panic attack.

 “I Think I might have to get another alarm tone to wake up me up in the morning…kim hyung jun is getting boring...” 

at the thought of having had  Mica unnie wake up as well, i thought i'd make her laugh in the early morning... 

…I sat up .... and shook my head to wake me up even more

*WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP*

That alarm tone is so cute but also crazy,

I took my phone and turned the alarm off…

I went to see if mica unnie has woken up ,but her side of the bed was empty.

Me and unnie had to share a bed yesterday,

 

I wanted her to be comfortable and sleep in eli’s room, but he locked it,

 

*sighs*

“Unnie!?”  I called out hoping for a response…

but ..nope nothing...

Walking over to the fridge, I found a letter .

HEY MINAH! I WENT OUT TO DO A FEW THINGS! SORRY I DIDN’T TELL YOU, I DIDN’T WANT TO WAKE YOU UP!

I’LL SEE YOU SOON! BY THE WAY, I MISSED YOU, AND ALWAYS KEEP THAT SMILE OF YOURS,

I PROMISE THAT AFTER TODAY YOU WILL BE SMILING FOR A VERY LONG TIME… OKAY CYA LATER!”

what’s happening today?

That’s right! it was the day....

....my mum promises to marry me off to some guy I’ve never met... all for a silly old promise and family reasons..

I better just get ready and see how things turn out...

 

FLASHBACK: Mica's POV

I was laying in my bed thinking about a lot of things,

about my past, about my future, just a lot of things,

about mina, about dad, and about mum…

 

I just kept digging into my thoughts…

Tomorrow is the day I have to audition for

"Seoul International Academy of Dance"

But there is something else I needed to do…...for mina.

“Hey Mina what is the name of the guy your mother wants you to marry?”

 

“…ahhhh….its lee chan hee"

she answered as she jumps into bed...

".that name sounds familiar, sounds like someone from some idol group?”

i asked as i remember i have heard of such a name before,

and if my memory serves me correctly... it's a guy from Teen Top

 

 

“I’m not really sure, I didn’t do any research, i only have a picture of him.…and  I know that tomorrow will be a big fight between me, eli and my mother..” 

 

Mina showed me a picture of the guy..

 

“well..i wish you all the best!”

i told her as i got ready to sleep,

i looked at the photo before i put it on the bed side table,

it was definitely a member  from TeenTop, i remember so clearly because i trained to their songs before.

“thanks unnie.” she rolled up into a ball and slept soundly

 

*FLASHBACK END*

 

I need to get mina out of this arranged marriage,

I’m going to go find this Chan hee person  tomorrow…

…...

Waking up, I saw  mina and she was still sound asleep 

I decided to head out before she wakes up…

i quickly took the photo she showed me of lee chan hee....

just incase i needed it...

 

Before I went I left a message for her…

I got out of the building and as I walked towards the bus stop,

I saw two tall and slim guys coming out of a van..

one of them looked very familiar…

I had my gaze set on him..

but then I had no time to waste so I kept walking…

 

“OUCH!”

 

“OH GOD! are you okay?!”

Hearing worried screams I turned back around,

The guy I was looking at ....

he walked right into a pole,

and feel back, first.

it was quite funny..

the guy next to him was laughing,

i kept my laughter in and I walked over to them

 

“are you okay?”… i asked as he looks at me,

he looked kind of  "out of it"...

“ummm…I’m okay…”

I helped him get back up

“ ouch…that looks like it hurt…”

i looked at the scratches on his forehead

 

Looking at my watch I realised I had some important things to do…

i had no time to waste.

“sorry I have to go..be careful next time....” I said quickly, and ran off..

He was pretty good looking…

but shaking that thought away, I kept running.....

........

Standing outside  a school that lee chan hee attended,

I took a deep breathe before walking in…

I went into the office asking for him,

I was lying to the office ladies that I was a friend of his mothers,

they believed me...

 

It turned out that he didn’t turn up for class,

he must have also been dragged by his mother to go to the meeting,

but as far as I know the meeting isn’t until this afternoon.

.i still had time…

 

 ELI's POV

The first thing I got my manager to do when we landed in seoul, was to drive me and Kevin back to my house,

We had to come up with a plan... to save mina!

“OKAY bye guys, see you back at practice tomorrow!..come on Kevin!”

I said as I got out of the van,

turning back around , I realised how Kevin wasn’t getting out and that he was in a deep thought mode.

“Kevin! Kevin....Kevin!”..

“Oh yeah..”       I got finally his attention

“ let’s go!...”  i said with a lot of eager

“Okay..”  he replied to me, with a very dead tone...

 

As we were walking towards the building of my home,

I saw the most dashingly beautiful girl,

Oh gosh.... i had butterflies in my stomache the moment i saw her looking at me…

I didn’t have any direct eye contact with her,

but when I felt that she wasn't  looking at me anymore, I had my gaze fixed on her,

I felt my heart beating really quickly...

and all of a sudden... bang!

I felt a very hard hit to my head and body,

I immediately fell back on my …

ahh how embarrassing..

 

“OH GOD! Are you okay?..” 

Kevin asked me as he was laughing

I turned to see if the girl was looking, 

but not only was she looking ,she made her way over to us

“are you okay?...” she asked as she helped me up…

she was beautiful and kind....

“umm...i’m okay…” I got up and swept some dust off me,

she was looking at my forehead.

“ ouch…that looks like it hurt…”

 

“well that’s what happens, when I look at beautiful girls like you…”

I said, but I’m guessing that she didn’t hear me,

as she looked like she was in a hurry, and she was running away...

 

““sorry I have to go..be careful next time...”

that was the end of our extremely short ...sort of one sided conversation...

 

I laughed to myself...

“ELI!”  Kevin shouted to get my attention..

“yes?...” i replied...and i can swear i didn't sound like myself ..i sounded very sweet..

“You can stop being shy and all now, she’s gone!”

I snapped out of it and realised what he said...

“what, I wasn’t …"'

kevin just kept looking at me..

“whatever..let’s get going, mina must be waiting like crazy…""

We started running to the elevators/lifts,

Kevin held on to my arm and pulled me to a stop.

 

“are you sure, this is okay?..would mina want to see me?...” 

he said with his head down

“Kevin..what did you say about finishing or continuing what you started, you can not be scared now!”..

i quickly said to stop him from feeling so depressed..

“you're right… okay! Let’s go..”..

I gave him a pat on the back and we went to meet up with mina.

We reached the level to our apartment, opening up we were greeted my Mina

“Mica unnie?”

mina walked out into the lounge expecting someone else,

who is mica? i thought...

it must be that so called bestfriend she has...

As i walked further into the apartment i noticed something over near the couch, it was a guitar,

one that looked so familiar...

but that wasn't the priority... so i brushed it off..

 

KEVIN POV

We are finally back in Korea,

it’s the day I will confess to Mina..

the first thing Eli got our manager to do,  was take him home,

well take me and him back to his house..

and in minutes we arrived…

I was still in shock, not knowing what to say to mina

“Kevin!” I heard Eli screaming,

I’m guessing it wasn’t his first time calling me

““Oh yeah..” I answered him,

I know he wants me to hurry,

but i was still nervous... as I was still mentally preparing to see mina,

“ let’s go!...”

“Okay…”

I guess it’s time..

We were walking towards eli’s house ,

I was planning on what to say to mina,

but then all of sudden I heard a loud scream

 

“OUCH!”

Eli walked straight into a pole..

it was too funny,

I wouldn’t really expect something like that coming from a guy who does taekwondo.. and had good reflex and reactions...

“OH GOD! Are you okay?!”… I was just looking at him as he rubs his forehead while sitting on the ground

“are you okay?” a girl walked over to us.. she was uniquely beautiful,

with the body of a model, she was also a tiny bit shorter then Eli, tall for a girl...

Although I only have my heart for mina.. but i know a gorgeous girl when i see one...

 

Eli had his eyes fixed on her… I wasn’t really paying attention to their conversation, I just kept looking up at the building of eli's apartment

Looking back at eli, I noticed the girl was running away

““ELI!”

“yes?...” he answered sweetly

Wow what got into him..

 

“You can stop being shy and all now, she’s gone!” I teased and laughed at him,

 

 “what, I wasn’t…” 

i just looked at him

he denied....

but he must have thought she was beautiful enough for him to run into a pole just by looking at her....

“whatever..let’s get going, mina must be waiting like crazy…”

he started to walk over to the lift/elevator in quick steps

I got nervous so I held on to his arm and pulled him to a stop.

“are you sure, this is okay?..would mina want to see me?...”

 I asked hesistantly…

“Kevin..what did you say about finishing or continuing what you started, you can not chicken out now!”..

He encouraged me, like he always does, at that point I was full of  confidence.

“you're right… okay! Let’s go..”..

We gave each other a pat on the back... now i am definitely ready...

Arriving at the floor of the apartment... i was still nervous..

Opening up the door to eli's apartment, we went in to see Mina...

“Mica unnie?”

Mina walked out into the lounge, wearing a lovely evening gown...

 

She was and still is gorgeous..

Her eyes grew wider when she saw me, she tried everytime to avoid looking into my eyes..

“Eli! About time!! We have to go see mum in less than two hours, what do we do!...hi Kevin...”

She mumbled the last words..

“Hi Mina..”

knowing the situation was getting awkward, eli cleared his throat ..

“Look, I know you guys need to have a talk, so I’ll be in my room, I need to pack my things away…”

 

Eli looked at us both and waited for mina to say something

“..bu-t….."  she stuttered as she looked at me

 “Mina... no buts…”  he stopped her, then he pushed us both by the back,

He got us to sit down on the couch across from eachother, eli cleared his throat again before walking away..

there was a long silence before one of us spoke..

 

“..How have you been?”… i decided to break the ice, and shot her a question..

“..I’ve been well…” she replied, she was fidgeting with her hands as she smiled at me.

“..and you…how was japan?...” she asked about me..why were we talking like that...like strangers..

“..good..it was good…"  i answered as we smiled at eachother...

"i miss you, kevin..."  she said, her eyes were becoming teary

 that was the moment ...i needed to ler her know..

“Look Mina, I don’t want to go around in circles, there’s something I need you to know, and I need you to know now.."

Mina looked at me and nodded,

i got up to sit next to her... i sat closer to her and i held her hands..

“I like you…no. I love you, that’s why I’m here I need you to know, that to me,

you're not just eli’s sister, your not just another fan, your important to me,

and if I have to remind you everyday how much you mean to me.. I will…”

i said with all sincerity... only to be heart broken..again.

“..but it’s no use, you're too late..mum needs me to marry, because of her promise, and i could risk dad losing his job and our parents losing the house..."

she brushed off my hands and got up from the sofa, but then she stood stiff, i saw her facial expressions... and i understood why..  

“WHAT?!”  It was eli...he heard the last bit of our conversation...

“Eli…." i said as i got up as well , standing just behind mina

“How come I didn’t know about “dad keeping his job”?!” 

 he questioned with a slightly raised voice, which sort of scared both mina and me..

“….i didn’t tell you because I didn’t want you to worry, you were having your music comeback…”

 

“I have all the right to know Minah..your my sister…"

 

“I know…"

“Okay well then tell me…."   Eli said,  he was very frustrated

Mina stayed silent until she could get her words out

“Ok… This is what our mother said… she said that since I have an American birth certificate and citizenship,

it will be easier for the son of dad's boss to become a citizen, when they get their son to come to the U.S to live and take over the business

she needed my help, because in order for dad to keep his role and importance in the industry as the general manager and head chef at sakura restaurant ...

,I have to get married to their son, they also own the rights of the house that our parents live in....so anytime they can kick them out.

Also there was a silly agreement mum made to marry me to their son a while back...when i was just born... "

Their son is still in Korea, and we are meeting them later..."

 

Mina explained, i felt my self boiling up inside with anger...i clenched my fists

She looked at me, and then took my hand, and tried to calm me down...

she then locked our hands together.

 i had my head faced down.. i felt helpless...

 

“That is just ridiculous, how did our mother become so crazy to go ahead with such an idea…”

Eli started to kick the side of the sofa...

 

“well, I can’t let dad down…i want him to be happy...”

Mina squeezed my hands.. i just looked at her..and forced on a smile...
