Chapter 6
The girl looked at you shyly and averted her sight to Youngjae whom at the moment was waiting for her to speak or at least react. He took out the chair next to him and motioned for her to sit down.
"Come on, don't be shy." -He said when he observed how Yeon Ae looked at you with the corner of her eye.
But as he told her, she took her seat. Youngjae a little bit worried eyed you. But despite how you truly felt about them together, you kept your cool.
"Yeon Ae? I'd like you to meet _____. She's from the Acting performing acts class. _____ this is Yeon Ae, she's one of the newest classmates in our group."
You nodded at the introduction and gave the girl a warm smile. There was no way you were going to let anyone, especially yourself, think you were jealous, after all he's just tutoring her.
"Nice to meet you Yeon Ae!" -You spoke up sweetly.
She looked up at you, your eyes met for a second and she looked again at her book. Youngjae looked at the girl and was taken a little aback by her action. You looked at him, and he sheepishly smiled.
"She's just a little shy." -He whispered. You nodded slowly and mouthed 'It's okay' to him.
He leaned a little to her eye level. "Yeon Ae, shall we begin?"
She looked at him, and quickly at you. Internally you sighed. It was obvious that the girl didn't feel comfortable by your presence at the moment. And the way he was treating her was only reminding you of the sweet way he used to treat you when he worried about you. You truly missed him, or at least having his attention all for yourself. But that wasn’t the case now was it?
It was obvious that he wholeheartedly wanted to help her. He really was the pure hearted man you got to know, but you couldn't help but to worry by how nice he was. Though you tried to push any thought away, the worry lingered in your mind constantly. What if someone else comes along his way, will everything get ruined for us?
You decided to keep your eye on your work instead of the pair in front of you. But you realized how uncomfortable things were getting when Yeon Ae kept glancing at you with the corner of her eye as Youngjae tried to tutor her. She wasn't alright at all by your presence. You felt like a third wheel of some sort, like you weren't needed (wanted) there at the moment.
You began to put your things back in your bag, and Youngjae immediately shot his head up at you. You stood up and adjusted your uniform.
“I’ll be leaving now… I don’t want to be a distraction. I’ll see you later.”
“It’s ok… You don’t…” –Youngjae halfway said.
“No,really. I have to be somewhere else anyways. I’ll see you around.” –You replied and sheepishly smiled at him.
He stared at your back as you left the area, and then he sighed and looked back at Yeon Ae who had her head down.
“She left because of me didn’t she?” –She said in a guilty tone.
--
You walked outside the building and your feet automatically dragged you to that place. Those memories that you were longing to live may be further than you imagined. Why is it that you’re so upset because of that girl? Is she one of the obstacles you faced in this time?
No matter how much you told yourself that everything was going to be fine, you couldn’t help but to think that if you weren’t careful enough with your actions you could lose everything you had lived.
The sound of the water running in the fountain calmed your nerves a little, you were feeling stressed by so many things. In just a day so many things happened, it was getting quite tedious to keep up.
You looked up at the sky and observed that the Sun was starting to set, looking at your watch you decided it was time to go back home or else your parents would get worried.
--
You opened the door and made your way quickly upstairs.
“Honey?” –You heard your mother speak from the living room.
“I’ll be upstairs, I’m exhausted.” –You responded loudly from your room door.
You threw your backpack to the side and plumped yourself in your bed. That was your comfort zone but today it wasn’t feeling that comforting. Grabbing your pillow you closed your eyes and nuzzled your face in it. You lost yourself in a moment until you heard a soft knock.
Looking up from the pillow you saw your parents stand in the door.
“Honey are you okay? You didn’t c
