Whenever Yoomi comes out, she never forget to bring an umbrella along with her -- with drastic weather or not. She slid her small retractable umbrella inside her 
school bag before tangling the straps of her bag, adjusting it's looseness. She sighed in relief, having to be done with her preparations.

"This is it, you can do this Yoomi." She forced a forced smile across with her own reflection on her mirror.

It was forced since transferring unto another school is very much against her self-will. She studied all her life from her previous school in Busan. It is where she
first knew how to decipher the symbol of alphabet letters, learnt how to read, make an amount of enough friends, had her first crush, undergo puberty and
finally shaping her character on what she currently is now.

But all her happy moments there ceased into an end and she was left with no other choice but to face the present she has to face right now. She sighed, how she
misses her dorky and loony friends. They were there all along and have seen all her side even the despisable thing she had. 

Truthfully enough, she had spent hours fidgetting and fighting over her anxiety for almost past few hours. She doesn't know what she has to do since she's not one
of those social butterfly who gets along pretty that effortless in a short amount of time. She wasn't also the noticeable girl who can get all her attention with just a
blink of an eye all for her own self. 

She was just herself.

She then descended downstairs hurriedly having come to realization that she's almost late for the class hours. She doesn't want to turnish her first impression by
being late with her first day of class. Though precedently, she's more of a late comer in school and that is something she wants to change.

Her mom radiantly smiled, took the bread toast from the toaster before placing it on the plate just beside the plate of hotdogs and eggs. Yoomi pleasurably sniff on
the waft of air, relishing the taste of the breakfast food just before her eyes by only it's smell. And there's Kai, brushing his teeth already. 

"Umma, I hate you!! You cook these food when then I'm in a hurry." Yoomi blew an air on her cheeks. Her mom had popped the air bubbling up her cheeks.

"Yoomi, you have to eat. You know how am I strict when it comes to not eating breakfast, right?"

Yoomi sighed. 

"Yoomi, by the way, you have to go together with Kai."

Even Kai who's now gargling his mouth nearly choked upon hearing it.

"WHAT?!" Both said in unison.

"Your dad had said it. He said Yoomi is a girl and needs to be protected." 

Kai rolled his eyes. "As if." Kai mumbles, already wiping his mouth with a towel.

"Yaaah! As if I want to go with you." Yoomi folded her arms before rolling her eyes. But with all honesty, she is frightened inside since she doesn't know the
directions here in Seoul hence she's not used to shifting from one place unto another.

"I don't care." He turns around, taking his leave.

"Hey! Wait for me!" She grabbed a toast, wedging it between her small and her teeth before dashing off to the door.

"Bye umma!" She grinned, took her run to chase Kai.

 

 

 

 

"Hey!!" Yoomi screeched when Kai's lean back figure was already visible. But Kai seems not to hear it all.

Little did she knew, Kai plugged her earphones on his ears that's why he can't hear a single thing she says.

Yoomi jogged until she reaches Kai's pace.

Kai is a fast walker especially when he's in a hurry that's why Yoomi had a hard try matching up on his pace. There are times that Kai is walking ahead just a
little centimeters away from her and Yoomi has to widened her steps and stretched her medium-sized legs just so to catch up with him.

Finally, when she can sensed that she is walking swiftly along with his pace, she took a release of her sigh, having to be finally at ease.

"Why are you such a fast walker? You know I'm not as tall as you and definitely I don't have long legs as you are. I know were in a hurry but can you please try
slowing down? You know umma kept on telling me that you wouldn't get something if you're such in a hurr--" She was interrupted when Kai put a piece of
his headphone on one side of Yoomi's ear.

Kai purposely let her volume to it's highest volume, just so to stop her from babbling words any further. He just hate her garrulousness and how she managed to
be talkative.

Yoomi jumped up from her position when the high volume of the hard rock song sink in with her ears. 

"Yah!!"

"Don't ever try removing it. I don't like it when you talk, you kept on talking when then you knew I wouldn't respond." Kai casually says. Yoomi rolled her eyes,
taking off the earphone but Kai had put it back.

Yoomi then removed it, but Kai had placed it back on her ears.

Again, Yoomi push the earphones away from her but Kai kept on putting it back no matter how much she take it off a multiple of times.

"Yah!! What's wrong with you?" Yoomi finally outburst.

"I said I don't like it when you talk."

"Then why you have to annoy me by putting earphones to my ears? You think I enjoyed hearing your super high volume music?"

"Just so you know, I kept on putting it just to stop you from talking. Don't be full of yourself." Kai scrolled the list of his music, choosing the best music that
could possibly annoy her. He admit it, he enjoys watching her with this little misery.

Though, there are still miseries in store for her prepared by only him.

Kai once again put back the earphone on her ears and Yoomi instantly responded by jumping up with her position with a face of astonishment. Kai smirked, he
enjoys this much as he never expected.

"Yaaaah!!" Yoomi stomped on her foot, removing the earphones.

"I've had enough!! I'm not going with you!!" Yoomi turn the other way around out of the resentment she felt.

"Ok, I'll not be the one who'll get lost anyway." Kai proceeded on walking, having his hands inside his pockets. He couldn't care less anyway.

"Aish, that bastard. He has no heart." Yoomi hissed, shaking her head. 

Honestly, she doesn't know the street where she currently stands. No matter how he read the name of the street, her brain just wouldn't recognized it since she
isn't familiar with it.

She kept on walking aimlessly and undefinitely. 

She stopped walking upon a certain street that again she doesn't have any familiarity with. She can feel her tears trembling down and she is in a state of being
neurotic, being nervous about not to be able to come to school all because of her stupidity.

Her feet wobbles, quivering and her hand bitting on her nails showing signs on how she is fidgeting way too much. 

Kai. The reason for all this stupidity. 

Yoomi took her phone and scrolled her phonebook. She had found Kai's number on the middle of the list. Her hands is shaking upon calling Kai's number.
She's too panicky to think about her pride.

Kai wouldn't answer the first two attempts she tried, but then answered it on the third one. 

"Yah!! Where exactly are you?!" It was the first question Kai had, knowing it was Yoomi on the other line.

"I-I d..don't know. Help me K-Kai." She says as she stuttered on her words.

"What? Are you stupid?! Can't you read signs?!" 

Yoomi cried a few more. 

"Aish this nuissance. Ok, read the signs for me. I'll go there."

Yoomi looked around her surroundings.

"Ac-cross fr..from me is a sup..permarket named S-Seoul Suu..per Mart. And I am s-standing in.. Kwangdong..gu street." She took one last glance on the name of
the street before realizing Kai had ended the phonecall.

She bits her nails whilst fresh tears are still present on her eyes, still being dreadened and nervous but the only difference is her nervousness had decreased a little
bit knowing Kai would save her.

 

 

 

It was nearly half an hour when Kai had arrived on the place where Yoomi had told him. Truthfully enough, he actually is nearing the school when Yoomi had called
him earlier and mind you, he can't stop bothering about her whereabouts. That's why he isn't hesitant to come back no matter how the circumstance isn't that easy.

He may be a jerk, but he still had a heart sealed with conscience.

He found Yoomi sat on the ground, her lap raised up and her head was leaning on it. Kai bent down on her level.

"Stupid, wake up." He shook her and Yoomi finally faces her. She had red swollen eyes, Kai was very certain it was from crying too much. 

"Are you stupid? Why are crying? Are you that weak?" Kai hides the worriness he had by the choice of his words. Yoomi glarred unto her.

"You're so mean." Her tone isn't as bright as what she usually is.

"Let's go." Kai seized her hands and pulled her along with him.

Yoomi's body is too tired to argue anymore and Kai became puzzled and baffled about why is she quiet, considering the fact that she is a complete contrast of it.

"Is that a big deal to you? You're not talking. Are you that weak?"

"Mock me all you want, I don't have energy."

Kai sighed, somehow it had made his conscience struck in shock that's why he didn't bother to mock her anymore no matter how much he wants to so badly.  
Kai snapped, realizing he had still had a grasped on Yoomi's hands. He took it  off in immediate response.

They walked in silence that day.

 

 

Whenever Kai has to go to school, he would have to take a ride on a train station. Kai doesn't want to take the bus since the bus station is farther to walk rater than
the train station which wouldn't take him that long to walk. 

Yoomi had been so strangely quiet on a walk together with Kai. Without Kai knowing, this is just another side of Yoomi. Whenever something happens to her, it will
take some time for her to move on pondering about that situation and when she ponders, she is very quiet. This side of her just emerged once in a blue moon once
you get to know her that much.

For Kai's case, he hasn't still know Yoomi that much but he had saw this side of her already which made him special. 

Yoomi absent-mindedly stood across at the locomoting trains, her hair spreading out against the chilly wind. When suddenly someone had pulled her on her wrist,
she snapped out of her own state of trance and came back to reality. 

"Are you stupid? Do you have plans of killing yourself?" He says as he pulls Yoomi.

Instead of the usual counter Yoomi often does, she takes no response upon Kai's bickering. He starred at the overly-pensive Yoomi and analyze her reaction.
Kai might not admit, he grew a little worried for her. Kai quietly sighs, and pulled her wrist inside the train.

 

 

 

 

After a few while, the train had stopped on their station. Their station isn't really exactly on their school, they would have to walk just few steps away.
The announcer announces the place of the station where they would be dropped, Kai had became alarmed in an instance. 

Since the area of their school has some universities and other schools that are being placed, many students takes the train, resulting for a very crowded population
inside the bus. Another thing is that the start of Kai's class is a rush hour time. Scenes with packed people squeezing and jostling just so to make it on the exit most
likely are the scenes that are expected already. 

Scenes like this isn't new to Kai. He just doesn't know for Yoomi.

Having to sense that people starting to aim unto the exit, Kai had pulled Yoomi along with him. While in the bus, Yoomi had slept the whole riding time so Kai didn't
think twice upon dragging her or else she might end up not going to school on her first day.

Yoomi yawned and ruffled her messy hair, actually arranging it. She slid her hands inside her pocket and when she turns to her side, she found nobody.

"The school's here not there, stupid." She turn unto another direction only to be found Kai already taking his steps unto a vast bricked building. Before she knew it,
it was  actually their school. 

Since she already had a tour on this school at her enrollment day, it wasn't much of a surprise for her seeing the beauty of the place. Only, she had felt extremely
stupid having to got humiliated infront of Kai since she's spacing out way too much.

Truthfully enough, she felt much finer than she is for the last few minutes since she took a small sleep whilst inside the train. She has been sleeping for almost the
whole ride and she assumes that Kai had been so understandable since he kept silent while he was with her all along.

Kai is walking ahead of him and she knew he walk faster in purpose.

"Yah! Why not walking slower?" She sound as ironic as how it was obvious.

But Kai didn't even listen, continuing his stupid stubborn games. Yoomi had enough of following him, she can ask directions anyway if she got lost. There's no point
of convincing him, it'll just waste her precious time. And for the first place, Yoomi is more stubborn than he is.

But then when she stopped walking, a shadow cast on the ground and she lifted up her face just to check on that person.

No other than Kai.

"And now you're here after you left me?"

Kai cleared his throat.

"I don't care with your ing emotional games. I'm here to clear something."

"Whatever it is, I don't want to hear it. Bye Kai! Have a nice day ahead!"

But when she walked past him, Kai had pulled the straps of her bag, actually pushing her weight through the bag.

"What now?!" Yoomi hissed, her back facing him, still the straps of her bag was seized through Kai's grip.

"You're not going anywhere until you hear me out."

"You said you don't care about me! So as me! I don't care." Yoomi rolled her eyes, push her own weight, finally the strap of her bag was untangled by his grip but
on the end, Kai had grabbed her hands instead.

Yoomi froze on her spot, her eyes widened and she felt something odd inside of her, making her cringe. Kai smirked, having to take advantage of the situation. 

"I said you're not going anywhere until you hear me out. Now will you listen?"

"Get off!!!!!" She was waggling her hands off him but Kai had pretty much enjoying seeing her in a misery that's why it had only resulted for him to tightened his
grip unto her hands. No matter how stubborn Yoomi is, there are times that she still does aware of her own limits and can be submissive at rare times.

"Ok, I give up. Just let me go after you'll say it. Aish, such a nuissance."

"As if I love holding it." Kai scoffed, rolling his eyes.

'Then why are you still holding it?"

"Just so to make sure you're not going anywhere. I'll not be letting this go until I'll say what I want to say."

It suddenly made Yoomi jittery and nervous. Knowing Kai through a small span of time, she knew he'll do anything to make her life as worst as nightmare.

"You how I hate you, right? I don't want anyone here on school knows how we are related. If you had failed on this one, you're dead."

"Really? I'm dead? You make me laugh, Kai." Yoomi is again playing with her stubborn games. 

"I don't ing care about your opinions you still doesn't know me that much and hasn't seen my worsiest side and soon you'll regret saying it." Kai harshly let go
off her hands then spun around like he didn't left any bit of mercy for her.

How can a man like him do exist? For the totality of Yoomi's existence in this world, she hasn't met a guy something like Kai. Kai who she assumes has body had
bulit with no heart at all, and can do everything to make someone's life penurious and miserable as possible only for his own satisfaction and happiness. She knew it
is just too early to judge, but the feeling of burning wrath dominates her everytime he did a single thing to her.

*Kai didn't even told me directions.* She sighed as the grip to the straps of her bag tightened as she walks, completely puzzled about where she has to go.

She just cannot stand him.
