A Heart of Glass
Description
The characterstics of the human heart and glass are shockingly similar. Both are very fragile yet durable: glass can be shattered by a flying projectile within a fraction of a second, yet we still use glass on windows to endure the harsh effects of the weather. And the heart. It's a very interesting thing, no? An enigma wrapped in the labyrinth of a conundrum, the heart spurs us to do the most irrational actions. And it's strong, guiding us in our hour of despair. But everything has an Achille's heel, and the heart's goes by the four lettered word known as love. Love is the small but destructive pebble that is hurled at the glass windows of the heart. It shatters the heart into countless broken shards. And even if time does piece the heart back together, it will never return to its original pristine condition. The cracks and seams can still be seen.
A Note from the Author:
Hello, I'm glad you took your time to read this story. I had originally written this for a contest and then... procrastination happened, so you can imagine how that went. Also, this was supposed to be a oneshot, but the plot just sprawled out into what is now a 6-10 chapter fic. Sooyung is an OC of mine, so she's not Sooyoung from Girls' Generation; the spelling of their names is just similar. Anyways, I hope you enjoy the story. Happy reading!
Foreword
Sooyung has always looked up to Suho. He was the epitome of perfection. Kind, considering, the class president, and ranked first in the district, who could not like him? But for Sooyung, this feeling was much deeper than simple admiration. Yes, she can confidently say that she was in love with Suho. But there was one problem: Suho was completely oblivious of her feelings.
