These Childhood Memories
Description
How do you plan your future if you don't have a past?
Huang Zitao-centered fic. Almost all 12 members appear, but the main characters are: Tao, Baekhyun, Sehun and Kris. There is going to be multiple ship occurances.
Zitao is a shy person who avoids physical contact and has few friends. He is 19 years old when he loses his parents in a car accident. From one day to the next, Zitao can honestly say that he has lost everything he has ever truly cared for. His life becomes a purposeless struggle to keep track of day and night, of weekdays and dates. The lack of meaning tears him up slowly. In an attempt to regain purpose and find himself, Zitao returns to his childhood home, a home that he never got to properly say goodbye to.
The more Zitao sees, the more he remembers and learns of a past that his parents seemingly tried to make him forget. But does he really want to find out why they made such an effort to keep the past in the dark?
This is an idea that has been nagging me for the past few months and I really wanted to get it out. I'm not sure how long it's gonna be or if it's gonna be any good. Let's just see.
About this story: it is supposed to be set in China, and the characters are all supposed to be Chinese.

Tao woke up in his mother’s lap, the late afternoon sunlight coming in from the window making him squint his tired eyes. His mother his hair and when he shifted, making it known that he was awake, she spoke softly.
“Oh ZiTao… my dear little Zitao. I have to tell you something and it's important that you don’t worry about it.” It was obvious she made an effort to keep her voice calm, but young Tao noticed a slight tremble behind the familiar softness. “We have to move. It’s because of your father’s job, and it’s important, so we’ll be moving tomorrow. I’ve packed up your room for you, and we’ll be eating in a bit when your father comes home. After that, you can go back to sleep, and in the morning, we’ll head for our new home. I love you. We’ll always keep you protected.”
Tao felt confused and, shortly after, betrayed. He had known no other home than this his entire life, so why did they have to move? He had all his friends and everyone he’d ever known here. Going to sleep he hoped their new home wouldn’t be far away.
