It is 9:23 here in Seoul. I'm preparing some sushi for the picnic with my unnies, oppas, and maknae in a few days. My 7-year-old daughter, Seohae, is outside, playing with Hyuksun, Hyoyeon's 8-year-old son. Looking out the window, I can see the two kids playing catch. I'm about to finish rolling the last sushi, until I hear footsteps coming my way...
"Good morning, Honey!" Donghae calls, giving me a backhug.
"Yah, I almost messed up this sushi roll because of you!" I tease.
"Yah, that's no way to greet your husband in the morning," he says, giving me the puppy eyes. He's so adorable when he does that.
"Mianhae, Yoong. You know I love you, right?"
Satisfied, he gives me a peck on the cheek before he heads to the bathroom. It's been eight years since Donghae and I have been married, and I've loved every single year we've been together. Lost in thought, I didn't even hear the doorbell until I heard:
"Yah, Yoona! Answer the door! I need some help over here!"
That's definitely Hyoyeon. No one is more violent at door-knocking than she. Ironically, she's called the nicest unnie out of the nine of us...
"Unnie! There's a new invention called a doorbell! I think you should use it more!" I tease.
"Well, I did use the doorbell. Are you getting old already that you can't hear it?" She teases back.
"Yah! I'm not old! You're older than I!"
"By one year! Not that much older! Anyway, can you help me with my brownies? I finished baking them – "
