My Contract MarriageYou fixed your tube dress and checked yourself in the mirror once more before heading down in the living room with your pumps on your hands. You hated using those heels up and down the stairs.
You locked eye contact with your stunning husband. He was wearing the red tie you bought him and he flashed you the brightest smile a man could ever give you. He spun you around and looked at you from head to toe before commenting, “Still as gorgeous as ever. I’m glad it’s not too short or too revealing. There will be many guys later and I don’t want you to get too much attention as I would probably be mingling with possible company investors. At the second thought, maybe I would just drag you along with me and you can feel how boring talks can be. Is that okay with you?” He chuckled and rubbed the back of his neck.
You laughed at him and nodded. You’d rather do something boring than deal with flirts anyway. He ushered you to the passenger’s seat and he sat at the driver’s seat to drive the two of you to the party.
Minutes later, you arrived at yet another extravagant party that one of their partner companies were throwing. ‘Luxury’ was screaming all over the place. Designer dresses, shoes and blindingly shiny gems made as accessories could be seen everywhere.
People of all ages were present at the party and it was actually one of those parties that was somehow lively. Kids were running everywhere and teenagers flirting with each other. Husbands and wives together greeting other people; and you belonged to that category.
You linked your arms with Luhan and walked around while greeting the fellow guests. You had gotten accustomed to greeting higher ups and to the ‘basic rich people’s manner’. You were portraying the image of a perfect wife and the perfect couple for you and Luhan.
“Look who we have here. Luhan and his lovely wife.” One of the middle aged man in the tux greeted Luhan and the both of you bowed. Luhan put his hands across your back to your arms and said proudly, “Isn’t she a beauty? The most beautiful girl I’ve ever met.”
Thanks to your blusher and your natural blush couldn’t be seen. Luhan was such a sweet talker sometimes and there were times were it really made you blush.
“Lucky you, Sunmi-shi. You’ve got a husband who is head over heels for you. It’s rare to find one nowadays. Don’t let such a young, fine man go. You will never find another guy like him.” He bid goodbye to the two of you and left.
You looked at Luhan while he was talking to yet another man. *Luhan definitely changed. I wonder what has gotten into him that he stopped flirting already. Well, he’s more mature now and I hope that stays forever.*
“Sunmi, I’ll just go to the restroom okay?” You nodded and went to the nearest table near the toilet while waiting for Luhan.
While waiting for him, a guy who you presumed was around the same age as you approached you. “What is a pretty lady doing here alone?” He asked with a smile. Yeah, that was creepy even though he was good looking.
“I didn’t come alone. I’m with my husband – Luhan.” You were really irritated by his presence and silently wished that Luhan would appear soon.
His smile turned into a chuckle and you shot him a look. “Sorry about that. Once a playboy, always a playboy. If I were you, I wouldn’t take him seriously. Look over there, he’s already flirting with another girl.” He pointed behind you and to your surprise Luhan was really with another girl, laughing along. “So why not we have some fun too?” He continued and slowly crept a hand on your back but was stopped by someone.
You looked at the guy who saved you and it was Sehun. “Sehun?” He smiled at you before glaring daggers back at the guy. The guy was brave enough not to back off yet. “I claimed dibs on her first.” He smirked.
“Hands off my best friend’s wife,” he said in a dead serious tone. “Or e
