I couldn’t help it.. why is she so much older than me? Why is she always on my mind? Why is this forbidden? We sat in our leadership meeting next to each other. I don’t normally go to these things, I’m only the Vice President after all. I felt a stare on my neck… I began to rub my neck and turned to see her quickly look away into her paperwork. I smiled sincerely grabbing her hand and said, “Well look at that Katrina you have so many duties, and yet you’re still recruiting me. Is it so we can spend more time together?” Her cheeks turned a rosy color, I’m sure it’s because of the heat in this room. We began to brainstorm ideas for a booth for kids, me being the youngest they turned to me for help. I whispered to her “hey... You should write this on the board I bet they all will love it.” She shook her head at me and said, “you do it baby.. I can’t do that without freaking out if my handwriting is too small.” I chuckled and asked 4 people around us if she should write down the ideas; she glared at me as they agreed with me. She asked the leader of the meeting if she should write on the board, he gladly said yes and I watched her shuffle across the room groaning as I chuckled into my elbow.
