Prologue:

                Dead bodies cover the gravel ground; spots of blood everywhere as the few living continue to fight. A tall figure tries to fight his way over to a fallen member of his team, many of them are injured and still fighting but the one he is trying to reach is more than just a member of his team that has become his family. By the time he reaches the man he loves, the others have finally defeated the remaining enemies that had not run off or died, the boy is unmoving and his heart slows down. As he reaches out to touch him, he can feel the presence of the other 10 walking towards them and he can hear the hushed words of worry and fear.

"He isn’t breathing" the tall man whispers and he can feel the tears falling down his face as he touches the slowly cooling skin.

"Kris, are you sure? He might just be unconscious?" one of the other boys says, panic and fear creeping into his voice.

"I'm sure, Luhan" Kris almost hisses at the small honey blonde, as he pulls the fragile body into his arms.

"He'll come back, right?" another one of the boys inquires as he pulls Luhan to his side.

"Yes Sehun, Yixing-hyung will come back, but you will always be our Maknae" another tall member states as they continue to watch Kris pick up Yixing and walk away with him.

"What are you doing with him?" a smaller boy yells at Kris as he walks away.

"I'm bringing him home, so we can find a safe place to bury his body" Kris continues to walk away.

"He'll come back Kris"

"You're not the one that has to wait and he may not be the same Yixing I fell in love with" Kris' voice gets quieter as his figure disappears in the distance.

"Will he be fine?"

"Only time will tell"

"Hey Tao, is Kris going to be okay?"

"Ha, lame joke guys"

                                                Nearly 21 years later

 "What was that dream about?" a small brunette wonders as he sits up in his hospital bed after waking up from a dream where he seemingly died surrounded by 11 other people he didn’t know. He could faintly hear his father outside talking to his doctor.

 "Your son will be fine Mr. Zhang, he just has a concussion and we have dealt with all his wounds from the fall. Teenage boys playing around in trees, never seems to change" the doctor informs the worried parent.

"Thank you Doctor, can I go see him now?" the father asks.

"Oh, yes, you can" the Doctor bides the parent a small greeting as he heads to his next patients room.

"Damn it Yixing, what did you think you would achieve by playing around in a tree? You're not a little child anymore, you could have died" his father raises his voice at his son, temper getting the better of him once again.

"I know dad, and I'm sorry, when can I leave?" the young male doesn’t want to be stuck in this room for too much longer.

"I'll go fill out your discharge papers now, get your things" his father answers and leaves the room.

                "We've found him, hyung" a male comments from outside the hospital room, as they watch the boy gathering his things.

"Kris will be extremely happy to hear that, or I really hope he will be" the other male adds as he leads the way out of the hospital building.

* so I realized when I started to write the next chapters that my time line wasn't the original one I had for this story, so I changed the 7 decades to 21 years, this works much better
