“Oh my god! Oh my God! Ottoke~!” Yoona said to herself as she was running along the open field to her class.

She woke up late after watching a movie that her Hyoyeon unnie recommended her.

‘Watch this movie, Yoong. I bet after watching this one, you’ll get tips on how to get Yuri.’ She remembered Hyoyeon told her.

“Damn, I’m so into that movie, that I repeated it 5 times. I shouldn’t have listened to Hyo unnie.” Yoona sighed as she kept running towards her building.

*ring*

*ring*

Before Yoona could answer the phone, someone yelled at her.

“YAH! WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?! CLASS IS ALMOST STARTING! YOU BETTER HURRY UP OR YOU’LL TREAT ME LATER AT LUNCH FOR BEING LATE!”  she heard Sooyoung’s voice.

“YAH~! I’M ALMOST THERE! IT’S YOUR GIRLFRIEND’S FAULT THAT’S WHY I’M LATE! IF IT’S NOT TO HER MOVIE RECOMMENDATION, I WOULDN’T BE RUNNING LIKE THIS!”

“HOW DARE YOU BLAME MY HYO’S GREAT MOVIE RECOMMENDATION SKILLS?! IT’S YOUR FAULT THAT YOU PROBABLY WATCHED IT TONS OF TIMES!”

IF SHE DIDN’T―AAAAHHHHHH!!!” Yoona yelled as she fell after bumping into someone.

“Yoong?! Yoong?! Are you there?” Sooyoung called out from her phone.

Yoona got up from as she nursed her sore and picked up her things.

“YAH~! Watch where you going? Can’t you see I’m running late?!” Yoona yelled as she picked up her things.

“I’m sorry I didn’t watch where I was going. I’m in a hurry―” a girl said.

“Yah~! You didn’t know who am i?” Yoona interrupted. At times like this, Yoona couldn’t help but unleashed her superiority at school. She thought that the girl that she bumped into is a transferee.

Yoona stood up as the other girl stood up. She looked at the girl and she was surprised that the girl wasn’t wearing any uniform. As much as Yoona hate to admit it, the girl is really gorgeous and she got scared that once this girl is officially enrolled in their school, she might get a competition.

“I’ll forgive you this time since you’re a transferee. But if I bumped into you again next time, you’ll be sorry.” Yoona said arrogantly.

The girl bowed her apology and said, “Oh, I’m not a transferee, I’m just looking for someone here.”

Yoona felt relieved upon hearing that. But Yoona is as curious as a cat, she lend a help.

“Really? Do you need help? I quite know everybody here.”

The beautiful girl’s eyes lit up, it looks like a crescent moon.

“Oh really?! Thank God!” the girl beamed. “Actually, I’m looking for a girl. Her name is Yuri.”

“Y-Yuri?!”

Yoona gasped and upon hearing Yuri’s name. She wanted to deny it that this beautiful girl is not looking for “her Yuri” but for other Yuri.

The girl looked at Yoona’s shocked face. She mistook it as confusion.

“Yes, Yuri.” Then, she pouted and put her finger in her chin, as if she’s thinking. “What was her surname? Uh…Yuri…Yuri…Kwon Yuri. Yeah, that’s it! Kwon Yuri! I’m looking for Kwon Yuri!”

When Yoona finally confirmed that this girl is looking for Yuri, which is none other than her Kwon Yuri, she couldn’t help but think,

‘Babo, Yoona. How many Yuri exist in this school? Of course there can only be one Yuri. And it’s none other than, Kwon Yuri. But what’s with her and beautiful girls? They were always flocking into her. What a great competition you have, Im Yoona. Tsk.’

“Hello?” the girl called out the spacedoutYoona.

“Y-yeah?” Yoona brought herself back to her senses.

“So, do you know Kwon Yuri?” the girl asked.

“Uh…y-yeah. I―”

Just then, the girl’s phone rang.

“Hello?” the girl answered. “Thank God! You answered the phone! I’ve been looking all over for you! Where on earth have you been?!”

Yoona’s ears perked up upon hearing the girl talking on the phone, thinking that it’s Yuri on the other line.

“Hospital?! What are you doing in the hospital?! Oh my God! Are you hurt? Where exactly are you?! I’ll be there ASAP!” the girl panicked.

Upon hearing on the girl talking on the phone, she couldn’t help but to panic as well.

‘Could it be true? Yuri is at the hospital?!’ Yoona thought.

“Uh, Miss? Is that Yuri on the phone? She’s at the hospital?” Yoona couldn’t hide the anxiousness in her voice.

“She’s my girlfriend. She’s at the hospital right now. I need to go there but I don’t know how!” the girl said fretfully.

‘she’s Yuri’s girlfriend? But the girl that I always saw with Yuri is her girlfriend, too. Isn’t she?’ Yoona said to herself.

“I…I’ll help you. I’ll come with you to the hospital.” Yoona said.

“Oh my God! Thank you very much!” the girl finally relieved.

“Gaja!” Yoona ran with the girl outside the gate.

 At the hospital…

The two beautiful girls were frantically running the hospital halls. Yoona didn’t even bother clearing to the girl the questions inside her head. It doesn’t matter for her. She just wanted to make sure that Yuri is alright before she could ask questions even the girl’s name.

“Excuse me? Where is the emergency room?” the girl asked to the nurse as they reached the nursing station.

“It’s at the end of this hallway and then left.” The nurse politely replied.

“Thanks.” The girl grabbed Yoona’s hand and they both run the hallways.

‘I believe I’m going to get kidnapped at this rate because I don’t even know the girl’s name yet, I went with her just because she knows Yuri. Oh God, my friends are going to kill me.’ Yoona thought.

As they turned left to the Emergency room, they saw a girl, hunched on a chair, with her head on her knees. The girl with her, gasped and broke her hold on Yoona’s hand and run towards the hunching girl.

“Oh my God! Jessie!” the girl cried as she run to the girl.

Yoona halted as the girl looked up from her knees and gasped, “Tiff?”

 Yoona was really confused with what she’s seeing.

“Oh my God! Thank God you’re alright! I thought something happened to you!” the girl said as she hugged the other girl fiercely.

“W-what are you doing h-here?! I thought you will be back by tomorrow?” Yuri’s girlfriend asked.

‘Wait. She’s Yuri’s girlfriend right? And this girl that I’m with said that she’s also Yuri’s girlfriend. What’s going on here?’ Yoona thought.
 
Just then, Yoona’s phone rang.

KRING

KRING

Yoona picked up without even looking at the caller ID.

“Hello?” Yoona greeted.

“WHERE THE HECK HAVE Y BEEN?! IT’S BREAK TIME ALREADY HERE BUT YOU HAVEN’T SHOWED UP! DID YOU GOT LOST TRYING TO FIND YOUR WAY TO OUR CLASSROOM OR YOU DIDN’T EVEN GO TO SCHOOL?!”  She immediately knew that it’s Sooyoung on the other line.

“YAH! Tone down the voice, will you?! I’m at the hospital.” Yoona replied as she kept an eye on those two.

“YOU’RE WHAT?! W-WHAT ARE YOU DOING AT THE HOSPITAL?!”  Sooyoung panicked.

“I…uhh…I accompanied someone.” Yoona said cautiously.  Her friends are definitely going to kill her once they knew what happened.

“WHO?!”

“Uh…Y-Yuri…”

“Yuri? You’re with Yuri?”

“Uhhh…no…”

“What???”

“I’m…uhhhm…I’m…”

“Who are you with, Im Yoona?” Sooyoung asked, getting frustrated.

“I’m….i don’t know.” Yoona answered.

“You don’t know?!”
“I…uhh…I don’t know her. She said she was looking for Yuri and then, someone called her that Yuri is in the hospital. I got panicked and went with her.” Yoona pouted.

“WHAT?! YOU WENT WITH A STRANGER?! IM YOONA, DO YOU KNOW HOW DANGEROUS THAT WAS?!...”

Yoona rolled out her eyes from her over reacting friend. She’s already grown up, she can take care of her own. She tuned out her best friend’s voice by listening to the two girls who were having a conversation.

“Do you know how worried I was when I didn’t reach your phone? I thought something happened to you because when I went to your house, your maids said that you left and didn’t come back the night before.” The eye smiling girl said.

Yoona’s eyebrow raised when she saw the way those two girls holding each other’s hand.

‘Hhmm, there’s something about these two.’ Yoona said to herself.

“I’m sorry, Tiff. I got an emergency that’s why I didn’t go home. My phone also died and I just borrowed the nurse’s charger when my driver told me that you came to my house. Why didn’t you tell me that you will be back so soon?”

Yoona couldn’t help but sighed in disappointment upon seeing these two girls. They are beyond perfect.

‘Great. Yuri is into rich, beautiful and elegant girls.’ Yoona pouted.

“I wanted to surprise my Jessie.” The eye smiling girl named, Tiff, beamed at the other girl, Jessie, who timidly smiled back.

“I missed you, Tiff.” Jessie said shyly.

‘Jessie and Tiff, huh?’ Yoona kept in mind.

Just then what shocked Yoona was when Jessie pulled in Tiff and kissed her on the lips!

OH.MY.GOD.

Yoona completely forgotten Sooyoung on the other line and almost dropped her phone. She didn’t know how to react on what she’s seeing right now. Yuri’s girlfriends were kissing!

Since she’s much concern with Yuri, whose still in the emergency room while her girlfriend is here making out with another woman.

“YAH! HOW COULD YOU DO THIS HUH?!” Yoona yelled at the two.

The two girls pulled away from each other and Jessie looked at her from head to toe.

“And who are you supposed to be?” Jessie asked.

“IT DOESN’T MATTER. WHAT MATTERS IS HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO YURI HUH?! SHE’S FIGHTING FOR HER LIFE BACK THERE BUT YOU’RE HERE, CHEATING ON HER!”

Jessie raised her eyebrows and looked at Tiff before looking back at Yoona. She stood up which made Yoona stepped back.

“Excuse me? Cheating on who?” Jessie asked, completely lost on what Yoona is saying.

“YAH! Stop denying! How could Yuri loved a person like you? You’re such a cheater! I feel so dumb bringing your girlfriend here, so you could make out with her while Yuri is in the emergency room!” Yoona explained.

Jessie finally understood what Yoona meant. Her face suddenly broke into a smile until it broke into fits of laughter which made Yoona and Tiff looked at her confused.

“YAH! What’s so funny about what I said?”  Yoona asked.

“You might’ve mistaken me, miss.” Jessie said in her fit of laughter.

“What?”

Jessie finally calmed down and sighed, “Wow, I haven’t laughed liked that in a while, thank you.”

Yoona still kept her gaze on the girl, looking for answers. “As I said before, you might’ve mistaken me. I’m not Yuri’s girlfriend.”

Yoona gasped, “W-what? I thought…I…I saw you at the diner before. You’re with Yuri. You hugged her as if she’s you missed her so much and at the festival, she came in with you.”

Jessie remembered that moment and smiled, “Ah, yeah. It’s true, I missed Yuri-yah. But as I’ve said, she’s not my girlfriend.” The gorgeous girl looked at Tiff and smiled, “she’s my girlfriend.”

It made Yoona even confused, “Then h-how―?”

“Yuri is my cousin.”

It finally made sense to Yoona. All those moments that she saw Yuri with Jessie were nothing but affectionate gestures of close relatives.

‘But why did Yuri didn’t even tell that one to me?’  Yoona mumbled.

“I don’t know. You just have to ask Yuri about that. But for years that I’ve known her, Yuri can be a bit of mischievous sometimes.” Jessie grinned at the thought of her cousin. But then, it changed when she remembered that Yuri is still at the emergency room.

Tiff sensed the change in her girlfriend’s demeanour. She immediately hugged Jessie and it made the girl smile slightly.

“Speaking of Yuri, how was her? What happened?” Tiff asked.

The three went to seat in a nearby chairs as Jessie started the story.

“I received a call from one of Yuri’s friends, Kangin-oppa. He’s the only person whom Yuri let me contact in case of emergency. Everytime that Yuri got into that fight, Kangin-oppa is always there to report Yuri’s condition. I thought everything was okay but this time, it got out of control. Kangin-oppa said that one of Yuri’s opponents got upset seeing that he’s fighting with a girl. He thought that Kangin-oppa is ganging up on him because he matched up with a girl. He cheated and hit Yuri with a steal chair which is a huge violation in fighting.”

Yoona got teary eyed upon hearing Jessie’s story. She couldn’t even imagine Yuri being hurt by all those ruthless men.

“So, did you see Yuri before she sent to the emergency room?” Tiff asked.

Jessie shook her head. “No, Kangin was here earlier. When I came here, he said he needed to stop the underground match for a while. He said when he brought Yuri here, she’s unconscious and he’s praying that Yuri might survived with this.”

“Yuri will. She’s a strong girl. You know that.” Tiff comforted her girlfriend.

Yoona prayed that Yuri will be alright. She doesn’t know what to do if something happened to Yuri.

They kept silent for a while until the doctor came out of the emergency room.

“Annyeong. Are you Kwon Yuri’s family?” the doctor asked as he was looking at Yuri’s documents.

“I’m her cousin.” Jessie replied.

The doctor nodded. “the patient is currently stable. She’s really brave and she fought really hard to survive.”

That made the three girls smiled in relief.

“The operation wasn’t easy. I may say, she has a lot of injuries especially on her ribs, legs and face. But nevertheless, what important is that she’s alright. We will be transferring her now to another room. You may check on her after an hour.” The doctor left.

Suddenly, tiff hugged her girlfriend with happiness and relief traced on her face.

“Oh my God! Did you hear that? Yuri’s alright! I told you, Yuri wouldn’t let you down!”

Jessie smiled back as she pulled away from Tiff. She looked at Yoona and smiled.

“Hey.” Jessie called out Yoona.

“Yeah?”

“Do you want to have coffee with us?”

Yoona was taken aback from Jesie’s invitation. She’s still embarrassed from what she said earlier. But since she’s Yuri’s cousin, she nodded shyly.

At the café.

Yoona kept her head down on her coffee as the couple in front of her were in their own little world. As much as she doesn’t want to admit it, she’s envious of the two. They’re both beautiful and elegant, yet the way they looked out for each other is really magical. It’s like she’s watching some drama on TV where everything is really beautiful. She couldn’t take off her eyes on the couple.

As Tiff was about to feed Jessie a piece of cake, she felt Yoona’s gaze on them. She looked up with surprise in her eyes but immediately smiled when she saw how adorable Yoona is, the way she tried to avoid her gaze in embarrassment.

“So, we’ve been with you for quite a while now and we didn’t know your name.” Jessie started.

“Oh. Right. My name is Yoona. Im Yoona.” Yoona replied.

Jessie raised her eyebrows in surprise.

“Oh, so you’re Yoona.” She said as if she knew her. Yoona got confused.

‘Jessie knows me?’ Yoona said to herself.

“You know me?” Yoona asked.

“Yeah, I actually do.” Jessie nodded. “Oh, I’m sorry, I forgot to introduced myself. My name is Jessica, you can call me Jessie. This is my girlfriend, Tiffany. She wanted to be called, Tiff but Yuri calls her Pani.” Jessie rolled her eyes at the thought of her cousin’s silliness as Tiffany waved back.

“Hello.” Yoona mumbled.

“So, why are you with Tiff earlier?” Jessica asked.

“We bumped with each other at school. She was looking for Yuri and suddenly you called her that you’re at the hospital. She said she didn’t know which way here so I helped her out and here I am.” Yoona explained.

“You seemed to be a good Samaritan, Yoona.” Jessica commented. “I’m curious, though. It seems like you know Yuri?”

Yoona sensed that there’s something the way Jessica asked her questions.

“Yuri is my friend.” Yoona said.

“Oh. Really?” Jessica asked. “I can tell with the way you yelled at me earlier when you mistaken me as Yuri’s girlfriend.” She smirked.

“Yah! I’m sorry! She didn’t tell me, okay? I didn’t know.” Yoona defended herself even though her face is red with embarrassment.

Jessica laughed at Yoona’s reaction.

“You’re cute.” Jessica said as she calmed down from her laughter. “but thanks for looking out for Tiff for me.”

“It’s nothing.” Yoona blushed. “Wait, how come you know me? I mean I’m sure that Yuri wouldn’t talk about me, is she?”

Yoona got curious about how Jessie knew about her since she knew Yuri wouldn’t tell others about her.

“So, you got curious, I see?” Jessie teased.“well, actually, she didn’t tell me about you.” Yoona pouted. She got disappointed knowing that Yuri wasn’t talking about her whereas her, her friends were completely tired of hearing Yuri’s name.

“But I noticed something about her.” Jessica smiled at the thought. “she’s smiling frequently and she’s happier unlike before.”

Yoona’s heart started to skip a beat upon hearing that.

“Oh! That’s so sweet!” Tiff gushed

“You might be mistaken! Yuri’s not―” Yoona blushed.

“But you liked her?” Jessica interrupted.

“Of course she does!” Tiffany interjected. “Why do you think is the reason why she’s here? Besides, who wouldn’t like Yuri? She’s absolutely hot!”

Jessica glared at her girlfriend. “What do you mean Yuri’s hot?!”

“She is hot, isn’t she Yoona?” Tiffany was completely oblivious to her girlfriend’s jealousy.

Yoona just nod at Tiffany’s statement which made Jessica even furious.

“Oh, so you mean that Yuri is your type?!” Jessie exclaimed.

“could be.” Tiffany definitely didn’t notice her girlfriend’s outburst but Yoona did.

“Uh, J-Jessie? What Tiff mean to say is she’s just admiring Yuri. She doesn’t like her or anything.” Yoona explained to prevent a fight between the two.

“Of course, Jessie. You’re my ideal type! Tiff said proudly while flashing her infamous eye smile that made Jessie stared in awe. Yoona smiled at the cute couple.

Jessie suddenly turned to Yoona and asked her, “How about you? Is Yuri your ideal type?”

Yoona was suddenly taken aback and stammered a response.

“W-well…I…uhh…”

“Well?” Jessica asked.

‘Damn, it’s now or never. I’m in front of her cousin. And if this is the way to win her family then be it. Im Yoona, fighting!’ Yoona said to herself.

“Of course. Yuri is my ideal type.” Yoona said confidently which made Tiffany squealed in delight.

“Oh, that is so cute!” Tiff exclaimed.

“So, you like my cousin, huh?” Jessie raised her eyebrows.

“For how long now?” Tiffany asked. “What do you liked about her? Is it her hotness? Her hair? Her bad girl aura?”

Yoona felt overwhelmed with all the questions that Tiffany tried to throw in at her.

“Uhh…” Yoona tried to answer.

“Tiff, stop scaring her.” Jessie tried to calm down her girlfriend which made her pout..

“So Yoona, tell us why do you like Yuri? I mean she’s my cousin and I need to know those girls who were into her.” Jessica said.

“Well, I like her because she’s well…she’s Yuri.” Yoona simply said.

“What do you mean by that?” Jessie egged on the girl.

Yoona looked down as she blushed. She’s been thinking about the answer to that question for quite a while now. Her friends have been asking her the same thing but she never had an answer.

“Hhmm, I don’t think that there’s a reason why you love someone. You just do. You’re not looking for a specific thing to like but you love them as a whole. Tell me, Jessie, what do you like about Tiff?” Yoona returned the question back to the beautiful girl.

It’s Jessica’s turn to stammer. “I..uhmm…there are a lot of things I like about Tiff.”

Tiff just smiled at her girlfriend which made Yoona smiled.

“You see what I’m saying?” Yoona asked. Then she smiled at the thought of the day when Yuri saved her. “I knew Yuri way back based from the rumors that I heard. People were either in loved or hate her mysteriousness. It got me curious. But when she saved me from hitting a car, it changed my whole perception about Yuri. She’s not a person that people whom they thought she should be. She’s an angel and she saved me. Since then, I liked her. Even though I know a little about her, I’m happy with just a glimpse of her but when the time came that we started to talk to each other and eventually became friends, I am more than happy. I don’t know what to do. It made me crazy. She made me crazy” Yoona grinned.

“OTTEOKE!!!! MY FINGERS ARE CLENCHING ON THE SWEETNESS!” Tiffany exclaimeod.

Jessica looked at Yoona for a while. She’s trying to size up the girl. She’s trying to see the insincerity on what the doe eyed girl said but she found none. Yoona is completely honest with her feelings.

The three girls went back to Yuri’s room to check on her. Yoona smiled as she saw the couple in front of her, walking hand in hand, as they talked about random things. She wished that she will be like this with Yuri.

One day, they will be like this. She is sure of that.

They went to Yuri’s room and saw the girl laying on the bed, still unconscious.

Yoona felt her knees got weaker upon seeing Yuri’s unconscious state. She never thought that Yuri will be like this. For her, Yuri is like aa superhero whose always there for her whenever she’s in trouble. But seeing her with a lot of wounds makes Yoona think that Yuri is just a human with a pure heart.

“Oh God, I never thought that Yuri will be like this.” Tiff almost choked  up a tear upon seeing her girlfriend’s cousin.   

“Yeah, but she’s fine now, right?” Jessie hugged her Tiff which made the eye smile girl nodded.

The couple watched as Yoona went near Yuri. The doe eyed girl wanted to cry upon seeing Yuri up close. She wanted to be the one who’s hurting, not the other.

‘Are you dreaming now, Yuri? I hope you’re having a good dream despite of the nightmare that you experienced.’ She thought as she caressed the tanned girl’s face.

“I bet she will be feeling every wound once she woke up.” Yoona murmured but the two heard it clearly.

“We’re here to ease her pain, right, Yoona?” Jessie asked the girl.

Yoona looked back at Jessie and smiled, “Of course. After all the things that Yuri did for me, I can never replace it. Being here for her would be just the right thing to do.”

Little did they know, Yuri was gaining consciousness. She woke up with a heavy feeling on her chest and  every part of her body is aching.

“Uggh..” she moaned.

The three girls turned towards her and immediately came up to her.

“Oh God! Thank God you’re awake!” Tiff exclaimed.

“Thank God! How are you? What do you feel? Where does it hurts?” Jessica asked her cousin.

Yoona kept mum as she stared at the tanned girl. She couldn’t believe that Yuri is finally okay. She wanted to ask her a lot of things but all she did was to stare at her.

‘Yuri is here. She’s alive and she’s alright.’ Yoona said to herself.

“Water.” Yuri said hoarsely.

Jessie immediately got her cousin a cup of water as Tiff assist Yuri to sit right up the bed. When she’s done, Jessie assisted Yuri on drinking from a cup. When Yuri’s done, she pushed away the cup which made Jessie stepped back and she immediately caught a glimpse of Yoona.

“Y-Yoona?” Yuri gasped. She was completely clueless that Yoona is there with them. “W-what are y-you doing here?”

She became wary that Yoona is in the same room with her cousin and her girlfriend.

“She brought me here earlier.” Tiff answered for Yoona.

Yuri looked at Tiff completely confused with what she’s saying.

“Aigoo~” Jessie grinned as she tapped her cousin’s head lightly. “Yoona brought in Tiff. She was supposed to surprise me by arriving here early from Europre. But it turns out that she was surprised knowing that you were at the hospital. You were brought here by Kangin and he called me that you’re here. So, Tiff went to your school to look for you, but then, she bumped into Yoona and then this girl offered Tiff to go with her here and here we are.”

 Yuri still couldn’t wrap into her head that her cousin and Yoona were in the same room together. She kept those two different worlds to herself but she didn’t know that those two worlds will be colliding with each other.

“and you didn’t tell me that this Yoona is quite a character, Yul.” Jessie grinned.

Yuri immediately looked at her cousin. She’s scared that these two were already exchanging stories about her already.

“W-what?” Yuri asked.

“Well, it’s quite cute actually.” Tiff started. “Yoona saw me and Jessie kissing then she went ape and yelled at Jessie that she’s been cheating and all that. It turns out that Yoona thought that Jessie is your girlfriend!” she and Jessie laughed.

Yuri looked at Yoona incredudlously who’s already blushing.

“Isn’t it she cute when she’s jealous?” Jessie said through her laughter.

“YAH! Enough!” Yoona blushed.

Yuri then, cracked a smile at the thought of Jealous Yoona. “Aww, its too bad that I missed that. It might’ve been quite a sight.”

“YAH!” Yoona yelled at the tanned girl which made Yuri laughed loudly but then suddenly held her hurting rib.

“Oww.” Yuri winced.

The three girls immediately went to her.

“Are you alright?” Yoona asked.

“yeah, I’m fine. I guess no excessive funny stories like that one for a while.” Yuri still managed to smirk which made Yoona’s heart skipped a beat.

Jessie smiled at the two’s interaction. She’s glad that there’s someone like Yoona to be there for her cousin. She can finally sleep peacefully at night knowing that someone will look after her cousin. Tiff held her hand and smiled her beautiful eye smile at her. She thought the same as her girlfriend.

Then, the doctor and nurse came by to check upon Yuri and also to change her bandage. After that, the four of them spent their afternoon talking and laughing with each other. Tiffany shared her stories and Europe as Yoona shared a story about her group of friends. All of them were trying really hard to forget the situation that almost took their beloved Yuri’s life.

As Yoona and Yuri were bickering about a song about a certain idol group, Jessie and Tiff just watching the two. Tiff looked at her girlfriend with a glint of mischief on her face. She was planning something for her girlfriend’s cousin and the doe eyed girl.

“Let’s leave them together here.” Tiff whispered and made sure that Yoona wouldn’t hear it.

Jessie smirked at her girlfriend, “That’s why I love you, Tiff. You totally get me.”

“I know right?” Tiff responded back.

“Oh, Tiff, look at the time! You were supposed to have an appointment to your dermatologist!” Jessie faked panic.

The other two stopped with their bickering and looked at the couple. Yuri raised her eyebrows.

“Appointment?” Yuri asked.

“Oh yeah! I have an appointment with my dermatologist because I’ve got a pimple here!” Tiff said as she pointed her perfect-no-pimple face.

Yoona looked at Tiff, confused. She has seen the girl’s face earlier and she was completely sure that Tiff has no pimple, in fact she’s very envious of her pimple-free face.

“at this hour? And you just came from Europe, right?” Yuri asked sceptically.

But before the couple could answer, they both grabbed their bags and run away.

“Goodbye Yul, Yoong!” Jessie yelled outside.

Yoona suddenly ran to the door and noticed that its completely locked.

“It’s locked! They locked it!” Yoona panicked as she tried to open the door. “YAH! JESSIE! TIFF! OPEN THIS THING!”  she said as she pounced the door.

“No way! It’s lock from the outside and the nurses who will be checking on Yuri will be the one to open this one. Enjoy the evening, you two!” Jessie said and run away.

“YAH!” Yoona continued to knock on the door to make Jessie and Tiff open the door.

“Yoona.” Yuri called out but Yoona kept on knocking the door.

“YAH! I SAID OPEN THE DOOR!”

“Hey!” Yuri called out which made Yoona stopped rapping the door. “It’s no use. Just let my cousin do her fun and I’ll get my way with her later.” Yuri smirked as if she got already planned a revenge for her cousin.

Yoona pouted and walked back to a chair beside Yuri’s bed. Yuri smiled at the sight. She suddenly remembered her cousin’s story earlier.

“So, you mistaken my cousin as my girlfriend.” Yuri teased.

Yoona glared at her and said, “Yah! Why does everybody doesn’t wanna die that down?! My friends also thought that Jessie was your girlfriend!”

Yuri giggled. “Well, that’s the first time that I heard such thing. Me and Sica were close cousins and she always look out for me that’s probably why you mistaken her as my girlfriend.” she said solemnly.

Yoona stared at the girl in front of her. there’s something about her that she wanted to ask but she thought that it’s not yet the proper time to do so.

“When I saw you at the diner, you were with her. She hugged you as if it’s you first time to her.” Yoona commented.

Yuri looked at her wide eyed. It’s as if Yoona has been discovering things about her.

“Y-yeah. Sica and I may be close but there are times that we haven’t seen each other for a long time. I-it’s better that way.” She almost stammered. Yoona just nodded.

“Well, how come you didn’t tell me?!” Yoona suddenly exclaimed which made Yuri look at her, surprised.

“Y-You didn’t ask.” Yuri only replied.

Yoona suddenly felt her cheeks turned red. She felt really embarrassed on what happened today. She wasn’t supposed to show her jealous attitude but she couldn’t help it. It just come out naturally especially that she knew that Yuri doesn’t have any special person in her life but her cousin. Besides, her cousin approves of her, so that counts.

“You should’ve tell me that Jessie is your cousin, you know. It’s really embarrassing that I ruined their moment by bursting out like that.” Yoona pouted which made Yuri laughed.

“Well, how about this, let’s ask questions with each other. Let’s take turns by asking and answering questions?” yuri suggested.

Yoona’s eyes lit up at the idea. Finally, she’ll get the chance to ask Yuri a lot of questions.

“Really? I can ask whatever I want?” Yoona teased.

Yuri took this as a challenge since she’s secretly a kkab and nodded. “Yup. Any questions. I’ll start. Tell me about yourself.”

“Alright, I’m Im Yoona. I’m in high school. I live alone here in Korea. My unnie is in US and she just recently got married. I lost my parents when I was young in a car accident so its just me and my unnie. But since I’m alone here, I got my friends, Soo, Hyo, Tae unnie, Sunny unnie and Seohyun with me all the time.” Yoona explained.

Yuri looked at her as Yoona explained about her life. What struck most is that she felt that Yoona didn’t feel any sadness or disappointment in her life. She’s so amaze how she goes through her life alone.

“I’m sorry to hear about your parents, Yoona.” Yuri mumbled.

“That’s okay. I’m already moved on.” Yoona smiled sadly. “but sometimes, I missed them, though.”

“how come you’re here alone? Why don’t you live with your unnie?” Yuri asked.

“I don’t want to be a burden for my unnie. She already sacrificed a lot of things for me. She’s struggling for us to survive and to give me anything I need. I don’t want to be there now that’s she’s starting her new family.”

“She’s still supporting you?” Yuri asked which Yoona nodded.

“Yep, she and her wife have a business in the US and they sent me money here. I’m also using our parents money for me to get through here if unnie can’t give me money.” Yoona explained.

Yuri forgot everything Yoona said upon hearing that her unnie as a wife.

“Your unnie has a wife?” she asked, completely surprised.

Yoona nodded as if its completely normal. “Yeah.”

“Wow.”

Yoona just laughed at Yuri’s innocence. She find it cute that Yuri didn’t expect that information from her. But for Yoona, her unnie made her believe in true love no matter what race or gender the person is, as long as they complete and accept each other.

“How about you? Tell me about yourself.” Yoona asked.

“oh. I’m Kwon Yuri. I’m in highschool. I uhhm, I also live alone. My mom died 3 years ago because of her illness. So, now, I only have my cousin, Jessie. Her mom and my mom were sisters.” Yuri explained shyly.

Yoona was also surprised to hear that Yuri’s mom also died.

“I’m sorry hear about that, Yuri.” Yoona said melancholy.

“It’s okay.” Yuri smiled. “I guess we got one thing in common, huh?” she smirked which made Yoona smiled.

“W-well, since you got a mom, how about your dad?” Yoona asked.

Suddenly, she saw how Yuri’s face changed and said, “he’s dead to me.”

Yoona cursed herself for asking that question.

“Sorry.” Yoona mumbled.

 She completely ruined the moment now.

The two fell into an awkward silence until Yoona yawned which made Yuri laughed.

‘Well atleast I made her laugh’ Yoona thought.

Yuri made a space for Yoona to lay down.

“Come here. I bet you’re sleepy.” Yuri offered.

Yoona’s doe eyes went wide on Yuri’s offer. She couldn’t get her heart slowed down whenever Yuri’s with her but being with her in a confined space like the bed was too much. Besides, Yuri’s still weak from her injuries.

“W-what? No. Yuri, you’re still weak. I’m fine.” Yoona refused.

“No, I insist. It seems like you’re trying to stay awake. I feel such a bother for keeping you like this so, as a payment, I let you lay here.” Yuri insisted.

Maybe Yoona wanted to thank her Hyo unnie for lending her the movies that kept her awake for the whole night.

“Don’t be stubborn, Yoona.” Yuri said firmly.

Yoona rolled her eyes and do what Yuri said. As she laid down beside the tanned girl, she’s careful not to hurt the other girl.

‘I felt like running in a marathon! My heart beating so fast. This is the second time that I will see her face up close. She’s still beautiful even though she was covered with wounds.’ Yoona thought.

 The two laid down facing each other. Both of them let out a shy smile at each other before they look away from each other. It’s really awkward but in a good way.

Yoona looked back at Yuri and saw that Yuri kept her gaze at the ceiling. The doe eyed girl couldn’t help but stare at Yuri, she’s very captivating even she’s just thinking deeply. Just then, Yuri felt Yoona’s stare on her and immediately she looked back which made Yoona tried to look away but Yuri already caught her. Yuri giggled at Yoona’s cuteness.

Yoona tried to brush her embarrassment away by clearing and called out the girl.

“Yuri?”

“Yeah?”

“I’m glad that you fought to stay alive.” She murmured while trying to hide her blush as she kept her gaze away from the girl.

Yuri stared back at the girl. All she sees is the sincerity on her words and the gladness that she felt knowing that Yuri is alive.

“I’m glad that I did that, too.” Yuri murmured.

Yoona went back at stare at the girl. They stared back at each other for a while before Yoona said again,

“You don’t know how worried I was when I knew you’re here. I was praying for you to survive and God answered my prayers.”

“I’m sorry for making you worry, Yoona.” Yuri mumbled.

“I wish that you’ll never go to that fight again.” Yoona whispered. “I know its not my position to ask you this but think of yourself and…i-it worries your cousin, too.”

As much as she wanted to tell Yuri that she’s scared that the next time it happened again, she might not be laying here with her.

Yuri looked at Yoona for a while. She felt sorry for making the doe eyed girl worry for her. “I’m sorry.”

“I’m sorry but I can’t. I…tried to quit but I can’t. I’ve been through this I still go back. It’s what I know to support myself, Yoona.” Yuri explained.

“there are other things, Yuri. You try other jobs. You can ask for your cousin’s help. I mean she’s rich. She could help you.” Yoona reasoned.

“Yoona, I’ve beem through this same thing with my cousin. I can’t just depend on her all the time. i can’t just try other jobs. I just can’t.”

“Then tell me why so I can understand.”

Yuri kept silent. ‘It’s not the right time.’ she thought.

“It’s not the right time, Yoona. I’m sorry.” Yuri just mumbled.

Yoona just sighed. There’s no way she could get Yuri to talk. She’s too stubborn as well.

‘Another thing in common with her.’ Yoona said to herself.

Yuri felt that Yoona’s mad at her so she apologized again.

“I’m sorry.”

“You keep on saying sorry. It’s okay. You said that its not the right time, and I understand.” Yoona explained but deep inside her, she wished that Yuri is as open as her.

“It’s just that I thought you’re mad at me and decided to not be friends with me.” Yuri said sadly.

“That’s not gonna happen.” Yoona said. She almost wanted to say, ‘I’ve been waiting for two years to talk to you and be like this. I’m not gonna ruin it’

“I know you’re going through a lot right now and I respect it if you prefer that way. I’m your friend so I’m going to wait here for you.”

Yuri smiled at that thought which made Yoona smiled back.

“You don’t know how happy I am.” Yuri said.

Yoona felt that Yuri is really longing for a friend. Upon following her for two years, she never seen Yuri made any friends. People in their school would always think that Yuri is a dangerous person that they need to avoid. She also thought Yuri has always been so guarded because she’s scared that people might hurt her and leave her and that’s why she only have Jessie and no one else.

“I’m glad that I could make you happy.” Yoona smiled.

She silently promised that from now on, she would always be there for the tanned girl and never leave her.
