“Uh…sure. I’ll ask them.” Yuri tried to smile.

Weekend came and they all got ready to go to the amusement park. They all decided to meet up at the entrance.

“Oh my God, until now I couldn’t believe that Yuri is going to join us.” Yoona blurted out.

The girls are already there except Jessica, Tiffany and Yuri. The outcast informed Yoona and her friends that her cousin will join them and is more than ecstatic to meet Yoona’s friends.

“Yeah, even now, I couldn’t believe that we’re going to be friends with her.” Hyoyeon added.

“How’s your heart these days, Yoong?” Sooyoung teased. “We never get to ask you that question since you’re always with her.”

It’s true that Yoona is always with Yuri. Wherever Yoona goes, Yuri is always there tailing her like a puppy. Yoona is also like that with Yuri. She always ask if she can join the girl wherever she goes. They’re both inseparable.  They also don’t mind the company. They’re glad that they have each other.

 It’s adorable to see actually.

Yoona blushed at Sooyoung’s remark. She never thought that her friends would notice her growing attachment to Yuri.

“I’m happy that we’re this close, Soo.” Yoona smiled at the thought. “This is what I want, right?”

“No.” Hyoyeon intervined which made the two look at her questioningly. “What you want is you and Yuri to be together.” She teased. “What’s taking too long, boo?”

Yoona sighed, “What’s the rush? I like the pace that we’re in right now. I can see that she’s happy to have new friends aside from her cousin. I bet she’s sick of being third wheel all the time.”

Sooyoung and her friends smiled at Yoona. They underestimate the girl in front them. They all thought that Yoona will spend her time fangirling over Yuri but they saw a different girl. Sure, there are her spazzing moments but whenever she’s with Yuri, she’s very attentive and very gentle around her.

Yuri on the other hand, is still her shy gentlewoman self. She’s always there for Yoona. The girls couldn’t help but fan girl whenever Yuri does things shyly for Yoona. A very adorable knight in shining armor.

“Sorry, we got stuck in traffic. Plus these two took a long time in front of the mirror.” Yuri catch her breath as she stood in front of Yoona and her friends.

Yoona swear she heard Sunny’s squeal upon seeing Yuri.

In front of them is quite a different one. Gone are the buster-ripped jeans combo on Yuri. The tanned girl is still wearing her leather jacket but made with a light material. Underneath it is a white V-neck and she’s wearing a jean shorts.

All Yoona could do is to swallow hard and stammer. “I-it’s okay. W-we just got here anyways.”

“Oh, okay.” Yuri smiled. “By the way, I would like you to meet my cousin, Jessica and her girlfriend, Tiffany.”

The couple smiled at them and waved. The girls marvelled at the two. It’s as if they both came from a magazine.

“Hello, I’m Jessica. Yuri’s cousin.” Jessica smiled timidly.

“OMG! Pink!” Tiffany gushed upon seeing Sunny’s hair. Yuri rolled her eyes when Tiffany came up to Sunny and admire the bunny’s hair.

“Sorry about that. It’s just she really loves pink.” Yuri mumbled.

“Love is an understatement. She’s a Pink freak!” Jessica pulled her girlfriend away from Sunny. “Sorry about that…uuhh..?”

“My name is Sunny” Sunny beamed. “No worries. I totally understand. This girl beside me is obsessed with black.” Pointing at her girlfriend, Taeyeon.

“I like black, too.”Jessica smirked at Taeyeon. Obviously liking the fact that she’s going to have a friend on Yoona’s friends.

“Uh…this is nice. I like purple. I’m Sooyoung. My baby, Hyo likes rainbow colors and Seobaby likes red. Everybody shared their favourite colors now can we go in now? I’m dying to see the rides!” Sooyoung whined.

Jessica giggled at Sooyoung and said, “I like this group. Thank you for taking us with you especially that it’s-“

Yuri immediately covered Jessica’s mouth before saying anything further. This made the girls looked at the two cousins curiously.

“It’s Yuri’s birthday today!” Tiffany exclaimed.

The girls looked at the ball of energy shockingly. This is also a new information for Yoona.

‘It’s her birthday today? How come I don’t know that?’ Yoona thought.

“It’s your birthday today?” Yoona asked Yuri.

The tanned girl glared at Tiffany who smiled at her in return. “Gee, thanks, Pany.” Yuri said sarcastically. She turned towards Yoona and nodded. “Unfortunately, yes.”

“What even a great way to go to the amusement park! Let’s celebrate Yuri’s birthday and it’s also her first time here! Let’s go! Ppali Ppali!” Sooyoung screamed and lead the girls inside the amusement park.

Once the girls were inside, they all decided to go on pairs- Taeyeon-Sunny; Sooyoung- Hyoyeon; Jessica-Tiffany; Seohyun will meet her boyfriend Yonghwa.

Since the girls are already on their own, Yuri and Yoona left together.

“I guess we’re going to stick together.” Yoona commented which made Yuri giggled.

“Yeah, I guess so, too.”

The two went on walking silently and aimlessly around the amusement park. They saw couples and families enjoying themselves and it made them smile as well.

“So, it’s your birthday today.” Yoona started which made Yuri looked at her.

“Yeah.”

“How come you didn’t tell me?” Yoona pouted. “I should’ve done or gave you something.”

Yuri chuckled, “Sorry, it didn’t come up. I also forgot about it. I never celebrate my birthday anyways.”

“But still!”Yoona insisted.

“You’ve done a lot, Yoona. It’s more than enough.” Yuri smiled.

“I know! Since its your birthday and its your first time here, let’s enjoy this day, okay?” Yoona encouraged.

Yuri couldn’t help but smile her beautiful smile at Yoona. “Sure. Let’s enjoy this day, Yoona.”

As they were walking around the amusement park, Yuri asked Yoona,

“So, where do you wanna go?”

Yoona looked at Yuri confusingly. She’s supposed to ask the girl that question and yet, the girl beat her to it.

“I was supposed to ask that question, right?” Yoona grinned.

“I know. But since you’ve been here. Lead me to fun places” Yuri replied.

Yoona nodded. It make sense. Just then, she thought of their first ride.

“I know where to go! C’mon!” Yoona pulled Yuri to her favourite ride.

When they finally in front of Yoona’s first ride. She could hear Yuri gulped. She looked at the tanned girl and smirked.

‘Yuri is scared’  Yoona thought. ‘I never thought that a fearless girl like her is scared of rollercoaster’

“C’mon, Yul!” Yoona pulled Yuri who seemed immovable from her place.

“A-are you sure about this?” Yuri stammered. “There are other rides that we can ride first.”

“This is the perfect ride, Yuri. It sets up your adrenaline so it’s perfect for a first ride!”

Yuri looked up at the ride again. She heard the screaming and saw how the ride twist and turned along the tracks. She exhaled and Yoona heard Yuri mumbled to herself, “You can do this. It’s just a ride.”

Yoona smiled at the view.

“Okay. Let’s do this.” Yuri nodded to Yoona but it’s more like she’s convincing herself than the girl.

They both ride the petrifying ride and Yoona could see how Yuri trembled. She’s having second thoughts if they’re going to continue this.

“Yuri?” Yoona called out Yuri. Her heart almost crushed when she saw the frightened look on Yuri’s face.

“Yeah?”

“We can still back out if you’re really scared.”

“No.” Yuri said. “You want to ride this thing. I don’t want to cower down. Let’s e-enjoy this.”

Yoona smiled at how thoughtful Yuri is despite that she’s scared. She immediately grabbed Yuri’s hand and held it.

“Hold my hand so that you’ll feel less scared.” Yoona smiled which made the other girl smile back.

The ride started and the both enjoy the ride. Yoona thought that she’ll do fine while riding the roller coaster but she thought otherwise.

Her heart went up and down like the roller coaster as she held Yuri’s hand. Whenever the ride rushed down, Yuri’s gripped on her tightens and it turns Yoona’s heart into mush. She swear she will ride roller coaster often with Yuri if she could held hands with her.

Finally, the ride is over and they both went down. But it still does nothing on Yoona’s erratic heart. She almost groaned when Yuri let go of her hand.

“Woah, I never thought that it will be fun. Thank you, Yoona.” Yuri smiled.

“I’m glad that you enjoyed it.” Yoona nodded. “So, where are we going next?”

Yuri looked around and saw the ride that she’ll definitely enjoy. “There!” she pointed.

Yoona looked to where Yuri pointed and it’s her turn to swallow hard. “Wow.”

They both walked towards the Horror House. Yoona hates Horror House with much passion. She never like watching horror movies as well. Once she watched a horror movie, she’ll think about it for few days, everywhere.

Yuri on the other hand, loves Horror movies. She watched almost every Horror movie in existence. She loves the thrill and the kind of adrenaline that Horror movies bring. When she saw that the amusement park has a Horror House, she thought that it might be a great idea to witness it first-hand.

“C’mon!” Yuri ran with Yoona and they both went inside.

“I don’t think I can do this, Yuri. This is so scary.” Yoona’s turn to tremble.

“Don’t worry. I’m here for you just like what you did for me earlier, okay?” Yuri smiled which made Yoona convinced to go inside the Horror House.

They both started to make way inside the  Horror house. The sound and the immediate scares were all too familiar to Yuri so it wouldn’t scare her. She already know when the scares will come. Unlike the girl beside her whose been scared the whole time.

“OH MY GOD!!!” Yoona screamed.

Yuri finds it cute. For her, everything that Yoona does is cute. But to ease the scared look on Yoona, she held the girl’s hand and whispered to her ear, “Just stay close to me so you’ll never be scared.”

Yoona looked up at her with her scared doe eyes and nodded. They both started walking around the Horror House hand in hand. 

Whenever a scare comes in, Yoona hides herself behind Yuri and the tanned girl couldn’t help but laugh/

“Yoona, it’s not scary. Why would you think this is scary? This is juvenile.” Yuri rolled her eyes.

“It’s childish for you but it’s not for me!” Yoona argued. “GODDAMNIT! WHAT WAS THAT?!” she yelled when another scare comes in.

Just then, Yuri put an arm around Yoona, hugging her and led her towards the exit. This gesture made Yoona’s heart beat faster than it already is.

“C’mon, let’s get out of here.” Yuri smirked as they went out.

They finally went out of the Horror House but neither of them made a move of pulling away from each other. Yoona noticed that some of the people around them were looking at them so she started to pull away.

“Uh…” Yoona started and cleared . “Thank you.”

“It’s okay. Sorry that I thought you would enjoy it” Yuri apologized.

Yoona enjoyed it of course- not the scaring part. She absolutely enjoyed Yuri’s arms around her, protecting her.

“Let’s not scare each other for a while, okay?” Yoona smiled. She looked around for a less scary ride. “How about we go there?”

Yuri looked at the place Yoona pointed. “Yeah, I guess we could both do that.” She eyed the arcade across from them. She held Yoona’s hand and smiled at her.

“Let’s go?” Yuri asked.

Yoona looked at their joined hands. This is the first time that Yuri initiated such gesture. Whenever they walk together, they are contented walking side by side. Yoona is always fighting the urge on holding the girl’s hand.

This time is different now.

“Sure.” Yoona smiled brightly at Yuri and they both went to the arcade. As they were walking, Yoona noticed how the people around them looking at them. She looked at Yuri and saw how beautiful the girl is up close.

‘Maybe they’re just jealous because Yuri is so beautiful and I’m with her’ Yoona said to herself proudly and swing their hands happily. It made Yuri smile back.

They finally went in the Arcade area and stopped by the Punch Arcade.

“Let’s have a competition!” Yoona exclaimed as she let go of Yuri’s hand.

Yuri scoffed at her. “Really? You’re challenging me? Maybe you forget that I’m a fighter, Yoona.”

“I know. But I’m the strongest among our group!” Yoona argued.

Yuri looked at her. She wondered how in the world that a thin girl like Yoona will be the strongest one in their group?

She took the challenge and started removing her jacket. “We’ll see about that.”  She smirked.

They both looked at the Punch arcade. It has a meter from 0-100; hundred being the highest. Yuri wore the boxing gloves and started stretching.

Yoona couldn’t deny that she find Yuri hot while in her serious mode. “How hot can she be when she fights?”

While Yoona is too busy fangirling on Yuri, she didn’t notice the strong punch Yuri gave to the game. Yoona gasped when it landed at 79 points.

“Whew, that was a bit weak.” Yuri commented to herself. She still can’t fight due to her injury these past few months but she’s proud that she can still punch that hard. She turned towards Yoona and smirked.

“Let’s see if you can exceed that.” Yuri handed the gloves to the doe eyed girl.

Yoona squinted her eyes at Yuri playfully before wearing the gloves.

“Prepare to lose, Kwon Yuri! Im Yoona is here to fight you!” Yoona screamed and started to punch.

The two held their breaths as the meter went up and finally handed at 82 points.

“OMO!” Yoona yelled. “I won!” she looked at Yuri, couldn’t believe that she won against Yuri.

Instead of hate, Yuri felt proud at Yoona. She really underestimated the cheerleader.

“Yes you did, Yoona.” Yuri chuckled.

“I beat you!” she yelled. “I beat Kwon Yuri!” she fist pumped in the air which made Yuri laugh even more.

Once Yoona is done with her happy dance after winning against Yuri, they decided to buy snacks and rest for a while. Besides, it’s almost sunset and fireworks will start any moment soon.

Instead of walking by the bench, Yoona decided otherwise. They both went on the secluded part of the park to find a perfect spot.

“C’mon, Yuri. We got to find a best spot before the fireworks.” Yoona said as she led them to a nearby tree. She sat and laid their snacks.

“There are a lot of spot over there. Why did you choose here?” Yuri whined as she sat beside Yoona.

“Because no one knows this and the view here is magical. Trust me.” Yoona grinned.

Yuri stopped and stared at the girl before coming into her senses. She opened the snack that she’s holding before Yoona might notice her stare.

They both silent for a while, enjoying the cool breeze and the beauty of the sunset.

“Thank you for this day, Yoona.” Yuri mumbled as she took a bite of her snack.

Yoona looked up at Yuri and smiled, “Thank you that you came.”

Just then, Yoona remembered that she bought something for Yuri’s birthday. She opened a box of cupcake and took out a candle to put it on top of the cupcake.

“I’m sorry that this is what we have for now. But I promise you that I’ll make up for this.” The doe eyed girl showed the cupcake to Yuri. “So for now…Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you~…”

Yoona started singing and it made Yuri smile the whole time. She couldn’t even count how many times she smile today but since she’s with Yoona, it’s always endless.

“Happy birthaday, Yuri! Make a wish.” Yoona said.

Yuri looked at Yoona. Since she came into her life, it made her existence bearable. She laughed more than she used to. She always look forward every day because she knew that she’ll get to see Yoona. She’s happy that she also gain friends through Yoona and her friends.

She’s just thankful for Yoona and she couldn’t think of any more wishes than that.

But on second thought…

“C-can I voice out my wish?” Yuri mumbled.

Yoona looked at her puzzled but she nodded. “It’s your birthday. You can do whatever you want.”

Yuri exhaled and whispered, “For my birthday, can I kiss you?”

Yoona almost let go of the cupcake upon hearing what Yuri said.

‘I heard that one right, right? She wants to kiss me? Eottoke!’ Yoona thought.

“I…uh…” Yoona blushed. “B-blow your candle first.”

Yuri looked at her intensely and blew her candle.

“T-that’s great.” Yoona continued to stammer as she put the cupcake aside.

“So?” Yuri asked.

“So? What?” she tried to brush it off and to hide her blushing face.

“Do I get my wish now?” Yuri asked huskily that made Yoona’s heart skipped a beat.

Yoona immediately moved towards Yuri to kiss her on her cheek but the black pearl thought otherwise, she moved herself and maneuvered to kiss Yoona on her lips. This caught the doe eyed girl by surprise.

‘Kwon Yuri is kissing me on the lips!’ Yoona said to herself.

She felt Yuri’s warm lips pressed into hers. Everything is innocent at first until they both gasped for air. Yuri pulled away and Yoona couldn’t help but fell in love more seeing her this close.

“Hi.” Yuri smiled shyly.

Then next thing she knew, she slammed her lips into Yuri’s and nearly knocked the wind out of them. Yuri hardly had a moment to react before Yoona pressed her tongue to the tanned girl’s lips as if asking the girl for access- which the girl granted. Their kiss may be sloppy but they both cared less.

Yuri’s arms made its way to Yoona’s waist, pulling her closer. The young girl immediately put her arms around Yuri’s as her hands played through her hair.

Their kiss immediately went to a pause when they heard the sound of fireworks. The sound took them by surprise and they both pulled away. They both saw how red their faces are after their kiss and both giggled shyly.

Yuri looked up at the beautiful fireworks and whispered, “Wow, you’re right. The view here is wonderful.”

Yoona just stared at Yuri and smiled, “It is wonderful.”

They looked back at each other and Yuri grabbed Yoona’s hand which made the other girl held tightly in return. Yuri pulled Yoona closed to her and they both watch the fireworks above them.
