"Jae Hyun," It came out a whisper.
"You know people might get the wrong idea about you two." a laughing voice said interrupting my words. Jae Hyun retreated from me as if nothing had happened. I couldn't do the same, I stayed sprawled on my back on the couch. The heat from where his body lay on top of mine slowly dissipating and leaving me cold. I saw how he went to her and hugged her, kissing her forehead, and continued to hold her afterwards. I turned away before they could see the look of disgust on my face. The warmth of a few moments ago completely gone by now.
"So what's going on up here that you completely forgot your fiance in the car?"
"In Guk is sick, I made him some porridge, and just took his temperature." She smiled at him in that besotted way and he kissed her again. My heart breaking as I watched. But I wouldn't turn away this time. They were both my friends and I had to learn to endure. "I suppose using your hand wasn't an option?"
"He was fighting me." Jae Hyun smirked winking at me.
"I hope you're feeling better." Dasom said coming to touch my face. I jerked back from her. She laughed and held on pinching my cheeks.
"Don't do it!" I snarled at her. She squealed and ran to Jae Hyun hiding behind him. They both laughed Jae Hyun patted my head and I forced a smile.
"Did you tell him?" She asked still smiling.
"Ah, our rehearsal dinner is in two weeks. We're getting married the day after. You will be my best man, yeah?" My body went numb at that moment, despair clutched at my chest his words echoing in my head. I nodded slowly fighting myself to keep a blank face. He smiled and talked about the wedding preparations, Dasom adding in everything he forgot. When they finally left I collapsed and didn't even try to move for a long while.
