Closet ELF

Repeat After Me~

(Authors note: the chapters will start getting alonger, i've just been trying to put them up before school starts! :) enjoy)

“Seriously, yoau guys?”

Manager Lee stood with his arms crossed, glaring at the boys. He looked to me. “You don’t have to make them anything. Come with me.”

I quickly maneuvered my way around the guys but before I could reach Manager Lee by the door, someone had grabbed a hold of my hand.

Leeteuk gently pulled me backwards, patting me lightly on the head. “They were just testing her, Seunghwan-ssi.”

I flinched and shook my hand away from the two-faced leader. He seemed surprised as did the other boys who surrounded us. At that point I didn’t care how much I loved them. I didn’t know this Super Junior, and I wasn’t going to allow them to treat me this way.

“I want to be taken back to my dorm.” I demanded, my eyes glazing over as I fought back tears.

Manager Lee pinched the bridge of his nose. “How about we talk about this situation more over dinner?” He asked me, his eyes pleading.

I shook my head. "I just want to go back to my dorm."

“We’re just being cautious. That’s all.” Leeteuk argued.

Shindong stepped forward. “We could all go to di-…”

“No, I’m not taking you guys. Especially not after seeing how you treat this young lady who’s done nothing wrong to you. We are not getting a new tutor for you after her. Is that clear?” Manager Lee’s tone was almost at the point of yelling, strong and forceful. By that time, Eunhyuk, Donghae, and Sungmin had come into view, making sure Manger Lee saw them listening in.

“In our defense…it’s hard.” Siwon added.

Manager Lee nodded. “Well you all better get passed that soon, because Miss Soria is here to stay.”

Kangin opened his mouth to say something but was interrupted by Manager Lee. “I don’t want to hear anymore.”

I really wanted to just start crying, more so because of frustration. I didn’t want every session we had to end up with one of the Manager’s having to come to my rescue. They clearly had some trust issues and it didn’t look like they had any intentions of trusting me. I needed to handle this on my own. But what could I say so early at this point?

“Let’s go, Miss Soria. Hopefully, these grown men will learn how to grow up in the next couple of days.” Manager Lee commented, making his way out of the apartment.

My head was telling me to look up at all of them one last time, just in case I ended up never seeing any of them again. However, my feet were faster then my desire to do so. I bolted out of the apartment quickly closing the door behind me. I could still hear their voices though as I stopped to catch my breath.

“You think we were too harsh on her?” Leeteuk asked.

“No, we need to let her know not to disrespect us! We don’t know if she’s a crazy sasaeng like the others!” Kangin retorted.

There was a long pause. “You guys are ridiculous.” Kibum finally spoke up.

“You were hardly here when the others were ruining our lives!” Donghae growled at him.

“She’ll be gone soon enough. Don’t worry.” Sungmin declared nonchalantly in an almost sing song voice.

It felt like someone had punched me in the stomach. All the air had been knocked out me. I had lost the ability to breathe calmly and found myself racing down the stairs towards the back door. Manager Lee was already waiting in another black van. I got in and hid my face from him. The van pulled out of the alleyway and Manager Lee turned to look at me.

“I’m really sorry about their behavior. We’ve had some…trouble, in the past.” He cleared his throat nervously.

My voice cracked. “It’s no problem. Manager Kim explained a little about it.”

“May I ask you…had you ever heard of Super Junior, before today?”

Yes. “No, never.” I lied.

"I figured as much." Manager Lee nodded. “We can’t have fans working for us. It’s much too difficult to rely on those kinds of people. As much as the boys appreciate and love their fans…you just can never be too careful with fans.”

What had these fans done that had been so awful to the boys? And if they were really fans why’d they do it? I’d never read any accounts online of this happening. I wanted to tell them that I was a proud ELF. But I needed this job in order to keep my scholarship at the University. It’s not like they’ll ever find out, right?

We arrived at my dorm and Manager Lee walked me inside and to my door. He had apologized again and hoped that I would stay and not pull out of the program.

“I won’t.” I reassured him.

“Thank you. I’m sure things will get better with them. We’ll see you in a couple days then. Good luck on your first day at University.” He patted me on the back and then left.

I locked my door and flung myself on my bed, face first into one of my pillows. There was a vibration in my pocket. I rolled onto my back. My phone was ringing?

“Hello…?” I answered.

“UNNIE!”

“Minju?! How are you able to-..?”

She chuckled. “I go to Korea every year dummy! I have a Korean phone, remember?! How are you? Do you know who your private donors are?! OH MY GOSH GUESS WHAT!”

There were too many questions to answer, just like there always are with Minju. I smiled to myself. “What?”

“My cousin sent me pictures of Super Junior’s new dorm! I found out where they are staying at! Do you want the address?!” She squealed excitedly. She talked much, much faster in Hangul then in English.

“Minju…about Super Junior!” I started to say.

She ignored my words. “Oh! And I read online today that they met with some girl. No one knows who she is but some fans saw her entering the building with Manager Kim. I wonder who she could be.”

I bit my lip. Should I tell her that was me? No, I can’t risk her bragging to the whole World Wide Web that her friend knows Super Junior. “Oh, really?!”

Minju scoffed. “Yea, but I’m sure she’s just some, ugly, old, cordi noona. Anyhow, you are doing ok right? Have you met your students?”

Gee, thanks Minju. “Yea, probably!” I laughed it off. “I’m fine, just really jet lagged still. And, yea...I have.”

“I’m glad to hear you’re safe! What are they like?” She asked.

“Well, they’re not what I was expecting.”

“Oh! Well no worries I’m sure it’ll be fine.” Minju sighed. “Oh, well my phone’s dying. I just wanted to say hi and make sure you made it there safely!”

“Ok! I’ll skype you after my first day.”

“Sounds good!”

Minju had this habit of never saying bye on the telephone and so the phone had just cut out. Word sure does get around fast went it comes to Korean netizens. I’ll have to be careful Minju doesn’t find out that it’s me. I slid the cell back into my pocket and buried my face in the pillow again.

“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!” I screamed into the pillow, letting out the frustrations I had held inside all day. This dream was slowly turning into a nightmare.

--

Two days had passed, rather quickly, and I stood in front of the building where my first class was. I had been given a driver assigned to pick me and up and take me to class early so that I would be able to get a good seat. Manager Kim insisted on it. I didn’t argue even though I was almost an hour early. As I made my way inside the building and navigated my way to the auditorium where the class was, I couldn’t help but feel relieved that I had school to distract me from Super Junior and the first lesson I had with them today. I was really nervous and still a little depressed about our first meeting.

The auditorium was completely deserted and I had my choice in any of the many empty seats. I chose the right side, towards the middle front area. I set my things down next to my feet and put in my earphones as I waited for the time to pass. I wanted to play a Super Junior song so badly. But what if someone saw me listening to it? So I did the unthinkable. The night before, I deleted all their songs from my mp3 player. I turned the volume up, listening to B.o.B.’s ‘Nothing on you’. A minute into the song I heard a slight noise coming from behind me but brushed it off as nothing. It wasn’t until I started to notice someone coming towards where I sat that I took out one earphone and looked to my left.

You’ve got to be kidding me.

Cho Kyuhyun made his way nonchalantly towards where I sat staring down at the floor. He stopped and looked at me, a small hint of irritation expressed on his face.

“You’re in my seat.” My bias said apathetically.

Omo! It's been a while since you updated author-nim. I literally started reading from the very first chapter to remember every bit of your story. It's worth it though :)
Aish. I hate that Lia. It's frustrating. I don't like Jade to be in trouble. I hope she'll be okay.
Author-nim, I'll wait for your next update. Even if it takes you a century, I'll wait. You can do it. Fighting! ^^
